Miles Allen is a 2009 OF/C with a 5'10'', 185 lb. frame from Maryville, TN who attends Maryville HS. He has a strong, stocky build with some maturity. Allen hits from a tall stance and has no weight shift forward during his swing. He swings off his back foot with a line drive swing that produced consistent contact up the middle. Allen has quick hands and good strength and could improve as a hitter with a better approach that got him moving to the ball and enabled him to extend through the ball. Allen is a good runner and ran 7.16. He had good footwork and range in the outfield but needs work on his throwing technique. He is a good student off the field.
