K.C. Silva is a 2008 OF 1B/P with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Los Gatos, CA who attends Los Gatos HS. He has an average frame and a strong athletic build. Silva is going to be a solid player. He presently has the type of bat and arm that will allow him to compete early on in his college career. He has some natural and aggressive hitting instincts. Silva has good bat speed and when he makes contact it is usually square on the barrel. He does have a strong grip that makes his swing a little tight. A slight adjustment would loosen up his swing and add even more life to it. He presently has solid gap power and could develop more. His best tool is a strong outfield arm (87 mph). Silva approaches the ball well and has a nice release. He is going to throw out plenty of runners as a corner outfielder.
