2004 Underclass National Showcase
Greg Perlewitz -- Perlewitz is a 5-11 junior right hander from Wisconsin with a medium framed athletic body. He has a compact delivery with a high knee tuck and his arm works well from a standard ¾’s release point. Perlewitz showed us some good arm strength, pitching at 81-83 mph for 4 innings. His fastball gets occasional cutting action and Perlewitz did a good job spotting his fastball in the zone. His curveball has nice spin and a consistent downer break at 66-67 mph. It's a good pitch! He also showed the makings of a nice changeup at 72 mph. Greg also looked very good as a hitter.
