Jake Hollis is a 2014 C/1B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Columbus, MS who attends New Hope HS. Hollis has a medium sized frame with a thick build. He has developing catch and throw skills behind the plate and throws with some effort. Hollis has developing arm strength with an accurate arm. He has some receiving and blocking skills. At the plate, Hollis starts with a wide stance and uses a no stride approach. He has a rotational swing and looks to pull. He made solid line drive to the pullside in BP and swings on a flat path. He gets the barrel to the baseball and has present line drive pop. Good student.
