Kyle McDonald is a 2007 catcher, pitcher, and first baseman that attends Bishop Kenny High School and resides in Jacksonville, Florida. He has a 6'4", 180 pound frame that is lean and athletic. He has long limbs and room to fill out. Kyle has a line drive swing plane and stays on the baseball very well. He uses his wrists well and shows good power. McDonals commands the game behind the plate very well. He has clean footwork with a solid transfer on his throws. On the mound, he pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He throws on a nice downhill plane with an online delivery. His fastball has nice armside run on his fastball at 75-78 mph. His curveball was solid at 64 with a 10/4 rotation and his change up at 70 mph. Kyle is a solid looking player who should continue to improve.
