Brody Boyd is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Manchester. Medium, broad shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill throughout moving froward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts on the third base side of the rubber, full wind up on the bump and hands stay close to chest throughout; works to a lower three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, shows natural running life out of the hand and through the zone, worked around the zone. Replicated well on changeup release, 68 mph with subtle life and buried a couple curveballs with short shape up to 66 mph. Works through the ball well at first base and maintains balance on turns, shows accuracy on throws. Active footwork in the dirt on approach to ball, longer arm action on throws, will continue to refine a consistent release point, shows some lateral range on the move and glove plays out front. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a high, compact hand set in the box. Contact oriented approach at the plate, occasionally gets onto front side early, upper body dominant swing. Best contact when working on a linear plane through the zone.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
