Miksitz is a 2003 graduate who has some tools as both a first baseman and as a left handed pitcher. With the bat, Miksitz has a lot of pre-pitch movement with both his hands and body but gets into a good hitting position when the pitch is delivered. He has some loft to his swing and looks to pull the ball in the air and flashed us some power. On the mound, Miksitz has a stylish southpaw delivery with a high ¾’s release point that generates good plane and leverage on his pitches. His fastball was 80-81 mph and he showed both cutting and running action at different times. Miksitz’s curveball was 66-67 mph with a big, rolling break. He also threw a change up. Miksitz had some deception and pitchability, he should be able to help a good JC program immediately when he is in game ready shape.
