Tysen Sorensen is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Le Roy, IL who attends University High School. Recorded a 7.06 sixty yard dash. Tall, sturdy frame with some physicality. Primary catcher on defense, works from a tall setup with a square stance to home to start. Will benefit from staying lower out of the crouch on initial movement. Arm works long, over the top with good arm strength and speed. Throws have some carry to the base with accuracy. Upside prospect behind the dish. In the box, Sorensen hits from the right side. He starts with a wide base using a reverse stride and medium stride length. He shows good bat speed in the box with good balance and some extension in his swing. It's an uphill bat path that will benefit from flattening out and producing more consistent barrels. Good skillset to build upon. Good student.
