Zachary Ward is a 2028 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Middleton, MA who attends Masconomet Regional. Long and lanky square shouldered build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a full wind up with a side step start into a high leg raise, has backside collapse and drive down the mound. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with some cut glove side and some run arm side, threw strikes with his fastball and missed plenty of barrels. Curveball was short and quick with good feel for the zone, also flashed a change up. Projectable southpaw who throws strikes. Left handed hitter, sets up in an upright and closed stance with a leg raise into his swing, swings hard and controlled the barrel well with mid field line drive contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength but he has a good base swing to build on. 5.54 runner in the forty. Secondary first baseman on defense, has step by step actions to the ball, compact arm action with developing arm strength and accuracy. Outstanding student. Named to the PG New England Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
