Jack O'Grady is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-6 195 lb. frame from Wellesley, MA who attends Wellesley. Extra tall young pitcher's build with long arms and legs and plenty of room to get stronger. Works exclusively from the stretch with a high leg raise start, medium length arm takeaway to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, had heavy sinking life down in the zone and good carry up in the zone. Thew a short and hard slider as his breaking ball, had late sharpness. Had feel for a firm change up as well, three-pitch starter's mix. Big projection remaining and has picked up 5 mph since last summer with more to come. 5.09 runner in the forty. Played the outfield when not on the mound and showed his arm strength very well with on-line accurate throws up to 89 mph. Right handed hitter, stays short to the ball from a spread stance, downhill swing plane, middle of the field contact, has the leverage to hit for some power with adjustments. Outstanding student. Named to the PG New England Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
