Vasquez, MLB scouts can write down his name and hope they get him. Probably the biggest surprise in Ft Myers this year. The big 6'4/215 RHP has prospect written all over him. He threw 90, but that wasn''t the most impressive part. He throws just under 3/4 and gets nasty movement on his heater at times. He throws a heavy ball. His fastball is a plus pitch now and could end up much better yet. He also features a low 70s breaking ball, changeup and we thought we even saw a couple of knucklers that looked unhittable. The natural ability and stable mechanics with very good command make this kid a very good prospect. He's one of the best we've seen recently. Maybe we saw him on his best day ever, but I kind of doubt that. He needs to be followed very closely this Spring. This could be a diamond in the rough in this year's draft class.
