2005 Northern CA Top Prospect Showcase
Dominic Bouvier is a 5'11" 165 pound catcher and ooutfielder with a lean projectable body to add more muscle in the future. He is a 2006 grad from Nampa, Idaho who attends Bishop Kelly High School. He ran a 7.81 60 and topped out at 74 mph from behind the plate. Dominic shows a quick short release and it shows with a 1.95 pop time to second. He has good flexibility to move laterally with sure hands and the ability to handle a quality pitching staff and make an impact at the next level at the premium position. At the plate, Bouvier shows an average base with some weight transfer. He has good bat speed that centers the ball well with the ability to spray it to all fields. He is a good looking energetic kid that can catch and throw very well. Dominic is a good student that will separate him from many others.
