2022 PG Softball KC Scouting Combine - Fall
Emma Bear is a 2028 MIF/C, OF with a 5-2 110 lb. frame from Henryetta, OK who attends Dewar. Emma showcased her ability to handle the middle infield with athleticism and leadership at our Kansas City Combine this past October. Emma's strong overhand arm strength was the first thing that caught my attention about the 2028 shortstop. She has a super smooth transfer and really strong though across the diamond. Not only does she have the arm strength to handle the middle infield she does a great job staying low and moving smoothy through every ground ball. Once she understands different speeds of ball and attacks the slow rollers more constantly she will take her game to new heights. Offensively, she is a right handed power hitter who generates a good amount of leg drive in her swing. Understands how to utilize her lower half to generate big power number and made adjustments quickly within her rounds. She has great barrel awareness to both halves of the plate, and once she constantly works on loosing her hands she will see her whip increase with her swing. Overall Emma is a strong athlete with the potential to take her game to the next level. She has the foundation to continue to get better and better and I cannot wait to see where this game takes her in the future.
