Tournament Formats

Qualifier Tournament Format
These events shall be pool play to elimination. The host site may use any elimination format it deems necessary to insure a winner of the event. Two (2) day Qualifier Tournament events must consist of a minimum of three (3) games per team schedule, and three (3) or four (4) day Qualifier Tournament events must consist of a minimum of four (4) games per team schedule, weather permitting. Rosters are required to be posted online by the qualifier tournament. Qualifier tournament games will have time limits except for the championship game. There can be ties in pool play. Elimination rounds require a winner and baseball rules will be accepted criteria. Qualifier tournaments can be two, three or four day events. Rosters are required to be posted online.

Regional Tournament Format
These events shall be pool play to elimination. The host site may use any elimination format it deems necessary to insure a winner of the event. Each team will be guaranteed four (4) games, weather permitting. Rosters are required to be posted online. Regional tournament games will have time limits except for the championship game. There can be ties in pool play. Elimination rounds require a winner and baseball rules will be accepted criteria.

Super Regional Tournament Format
These events shall be pool play games to double elimination. The Perfect Game Super25 National Office shall determine the double elimination format based on number of teams in the event. There will be a four (4) game guarantee, weather permitting. Time limits will be used in all games except tie games in elimination rounds and the championship game. There can be tie games in pool play. Rosters are required online.

National Championship Format
National Championship events will be four (4) pool play games to double elimination. Teams will be placed in pre-determined spots as a result of the Regional and Super Regional event each team had won. There will be a winning team from each pool plus three (3) wildcard teams who finish second in their pools that will advance to the double elimination portion of the tournament. There can be tie games in pool play, but must be a winner in all elimination games. There will be time limits for all games except in the case of ties in the elimination rounds and the championship game. The winner of the upper bracket and lower bracket will play in the Perfect Game Super25 National Title Game.

Classic Tourney
The Classic Tourney is a single-elimination tournament for teams that do not make the final eight.

Skills Competition
There will be skills events held between pool play and elimination rounds. These events will include a Home Run Challenge and a Fastest Man Competition.

All Star Game - For 16U & 17U only in 2014
There will be an All-Star Game played before the championship games for 16U and 17U age divisions. The players for this event will be selected by the Perfect Game scouts in attendance, with the assistance from the event's coaches. Only players not involved in the championship games are eligible. The third- and fourth-place coaches will manage each team. Rosters will consist of 17 players each and the game will be seven innings. Full uniforms will be provided. The All Star Games are scheduled for live viewing broadcast.

Coaches Meeting
All teams must have a coach present by 7:00 p.m. the night before the Perfect Game Super25 National Championship starts for the Coaches Meeting and credentials verification.
