2018 Top Prospects

Matthew Semon  RHP - 2018 - Valley Cottage, NY
St. John's

Semon was quite good on the mound, and his physicality/athleticism combo stands out. He worked up to 86 mph while generating very good sink at times; and showed the ability to manipulate the shape of his sharp breaking ball.

Duncan Lavine  LHP - 2018 - Holden, MA

Lavine showed as one of the more dominating arms of the weekend, throwing from a loose low 3/4 slot that neared sidearm at times. He worked his fastball up to 83 mph and really came right at hitters with it from that tough angle; and also mixed in a solid frisbee-shaped slider.

George Gines  OF - 2018 - Pittsford, NY

Gines had a really good all-around event. He ran a 6.96 60 yard dash, threw 83 mph from the outfield with athletic actions; and also showed some of the better raw power in the event at bat, routinely driving the ball deep. He also threw 84 mph from the mound with a quick, clean arm.

Stephen Quigley  SS - 2018 - Halifax, MA
Wheaton College (Massachusetts)

Quigley showed good bat speed with feel for the barrel from both sides of the plate, and also had the best IF arm of the event, throwing 88 mph across with excellent carry and good overall defensive actions. He then got on the mound and topped as 83 mph with a good slider.

Chase Stafford  SS - 2018 - Somerset, MA

Stafford ran a 6.98 second 60 yard dash then continued to impress all weekend, especially on the mound. He worked up to 84 mph with his fastball from a very tough low 3/4 slot, generating lots of arm side run and showed a good sweeping breaking ball as well.

Jack Pawloski  LHP - 2018 - Lexington, MA
Massachusetts

Pawloski projects very well physically yet, and showed good stuff on the mound. He worked up to 84 mph from the left side with flashes of arm side life. He also worked in a sharp, deep 12/6-shaped curveball that he could throw for strikes.

Ryan DuBord  LHP - 2018 - Old Saybrook, CT
Le Moyne

DuBord did a very good job creating angles from the left side, working up to 82 mph from a lower 3/4-near sidearm arm slot, with good arm side life on the pitch. He also showed intriguing feel for both his breaking ball and his changeup.

Kevin Ferrer  OF - 2018 - Pawcatuck, CT
University of Connecticut

Ferrer showed off his athleticism by running a 6.75 seconds 60 yard dash and showed that same athleticism in the outfield. He also took good swings when hitting, generating very quality bat speed with quick, loose hands; barreling up the ball consistently.

Jake Friedman  RHP - 2018 - Fanwood, NJ

Friedman showed a smooth, online delivery with good plane to the plate from a high 3/4 arm slot, working his fastball up to 84 mph with arm side life. He worked in a slider and curveball as well, both with good bat-missing potential.

John Macdonald  RHP - 2018 - Quincy, MA
Babson

The primary pitcher showed big arm strength from OF and IF, throwing 86 mph and 84 mph respectively from those spots. He then got on the mound and worked up to 84 mph with his fastball, creating good plane and also working in a sharp, deep curveball.

Arlo Marynczak  RHP - 2018 - Delmar, NY

Marynczak is one of the most physically imposing prospects at the event, and he uses that physicality well on the mound. He worked up to 83 mph from a very loose arm action and showed the ability to generate good depth on his curveball as well.

Joe Muzio  3B - 2018 - Rockport, MA
Belmont Abbey

Muzio showed very good hitting tools; with a quick lefthanded swing that gets the barrel out on time with authority, showing the ability to hit firm liners all around the ballpark. He also threw 80 mph across the infield.

Colby Nash  C - 2018 - Delmar, NY
Union College

Nash showed well both offensively and defensively. He has whippy bat speed at the plate with good strength behind it, driving the ball to all fields. He also threw 82 mph across the infield and then got behind the plate and popped as low as 1.91 seconds with very good carry on his throws.

Trevor Rosenlicht  RHP - 2018 - Dix Hills, NY

Rosenlicht showed off impressive arm strength all around the diamond in this event. He threw 86 mph from the OF and 85 mph across the infield from 1B; then got on the mound and worked up to 84 mph from the right side with a nicely-developing CB.

Ahzeem Santos  1B - 2018 - Cambridge, MA

Santos showed an intriguing strength/athleticism combo, running a sub-7 seconds 60 yard dash while also throwing 84 mph across the infield from 1st base. At the plate he showed big time bat speed on an uphill path, capable of driving the ball deep when squared up.

Chris Schworer  C - 2018 - Medfield, MA
Saint Anselm

Schworer showed the ability to put barrel on ball all over the zone, with firm liners to all fields coming off of his barrel. He was very good behind the plate as well; popping as low as 1.90 seconds with efficient, quick footwork. Also threw 80 mph across the infield.

Connor Wironen  OF - 2018 - Leominster, MA
Assumption

Wironen immediately stood out by running a 6.84 seconds 60 yard dash, then was very good defensively in two spots. He has easy athletic actions in the outfield with an 84 mph arm, and also showed very good footwork and actions behind the plate where he popped 1.97 seconds.


2019 Top Prospects

JP Olson  C - 2019 - Stoughton, MA
Northeastern

One of the few 2019's in this event; Olson stood out both at the plate and behind it. He worked up both gaps when hitting with good bat speed and developing power; and also showed very good, very quick actions behind the plate while popping 1.91 seconds.

Dante Taylor  SS - 2019 - Newton, MA
Uncommitted

Taylor showed well both offensively and defensively. His hands are very loose and fast in his swing, showing good whip to the barrel and projectable power. He's also a solid athlete who moves well in the IF with an 82 mph accurate arm on top of it.

Christopher Goossens  LHP - 2019 - Hampden, MA
Amherst College

Goosens creates significant angle from a high 3/4 arm slot, powering his 82-83 mph fastball downhill with steep plane. He filled up the strike zone and mixed in a sharp, 1/7-shaped curveball with power depth as well as interesting feel for his changeup.
