2018 Top Prospects

Hunter Rigsby  RHP - 2018 - Mount Vernon, KY
Kentucky

Rigsby was excellent in his time on the mound; as the extremely physical righthander worked up to 87 mph with steep plane to the plate on his fastball to both sides of the plate. He also showed a sharp curveball with lots of depth and quality feel for his changeup as well.

Ross Mulhall  1B - 2018 - Morgantown, WV
La Salle

Mulhall took some of the louder swings of the event, going way deep to left field in the first game and then stroking a double the opposite way in the second game. He's very physical with lots of bat speed and strength, and projects to be an offensive force.

Travis Sankovich  SS - 2018 - Uniontown, PA
Seminole State College of Florida

Sankovich was really impressive all weekend. He ran a sub-7 seconds 60 yard dash and showed excellent defensive actions in the infield while showing off a hose for an arm, clocked up to 88 mph across. He also swung the bat well, working to all fields with authority and projectable power.

Tyler Guilfoil  RHP - 2018 - Lexington, KY
Lipscomb

Guilfoil was dominant in his time on the mound; working up to 86 mph from a whippy fast arm, and showing a very sharp curveball that he was comfortable throwing in any count. He brought out a very good changeup as well, giving him three pitches that will be good at the college level.

Sam Runyan  C - 2018 - Hamilton, OH
Heidelberg University

Runyan showed off serious defensive tools behind the plate, employing game-speed actions during drills and showing explosiveness out of his crouch with efficient footwork, throwing 72 mph down to 2nd base and popping 2.03. He also worked to all fields with a smooth swing when hitting.

Carlos Tumpkin  RHP - 2018 - Grosse Pointe Park, MI
Jackson CC

Tumpkin is an extremely physical RHP prospect with a big right arm. He worked up to 87 mph with his fastball, generating big time extension and plane when on time coming through with his arm. The fastball was overpowering when located down; and he flashed some feel for his breaking ball as well.

Jaydon Berry  RHP - 2018 - Turners Station, KY

Berry was extremely deceptive on the mound, throwing from multiple arm angles and creating big time sink on his fastball, which reached 83 mph. He pounded the zone effectively, and even showed off a pair of breaking balls that he missed bats with.

Conner Ryle  1B - 2018 - Union, KY
Frontier CC

Ryle took a really loud BP, crushing balls on a line through the middle then opening it up and showing HR power to the pull field. He also showed very good arm strength, topping at 84 mph from the outfield in addition to working up to 81 mph from the left side on the mound.

TJ Berry  SS - 2018 - Fayetteville, GA

Berry showed quality tools through the event, starting by showing off excellent speed with a 6.70 seconds 60 yard dash time. He then threw 81 mph from the outfield and 82 mph across the infield, and has solid hitting tools with a LD swing and good approach. He was also up to 80 mph on the mound.

Henry Camacho  OF - 2018 - Louisville, KY
Berea College

Camacho was the fastest player in this event, clocking in an extremely impressive 6.49 seconds 60 yard dash time--a plus-plus time by MLB standards. He's also a switch hitter who showed some barrel skills from both sides; but stood out from the left side with good bat speed.

T.A. Crumbaugh  RHP - 2018 - Frankfort, KY

Crumbaugh was very good in his time on the mound, working with a powerful 1-2 punch in his fastball and slider. He worked up to 84 mph with his fastball, generating good sinking life at times, and also mixed in a power slider with good late bite to get swings-and-misses.

Tyler Morrison  LHP - 2018 - Lagrange, KY

Morrison showed well both on the mound and with the bat. He worked up to 82 mph from the left side with solid control and a good curveball/changeup combo; as well as showing off pretty solid lefthanded raw power at the plate, driving the ball deep into the air with frequency.

Nicholas Parrish  LHP - 2018 - Louisville, KY
Bellarmine University

Parrish looked really good on the mound in this event; working up to 83 mph with his fastball from the left side and and showing a whole host of three secondary offerings in a slider, curveball, and changeup--all of which he could throw for strikes.

Evan Smith  3B - 2018 - Annville, KY

Smith showed very intriguing hitting tools in this event; doing a good job manipulating the barrel around the zone while retaining strength and driving the ball up both gaps with relative consistency. He also showed solid defensive actions with a quality arm.

Kevin Vanvalkenburg  2B - 2018 - Georgetown, KY
Hanover College

Vanvalkenburg showed some serious arm strength and athleticism in this event. He threw 86 mph from across the infield and ran a 6.96 seconds 60 yard dash time. He got on the mound as well and worked up to 84 mph with his fastball while showing a good changeup as well.

Jake Woodard  SS - 2018 - Nashville, TN

Woodard showed his athleticism to start by running a 6.84 seconds 60 yard dash time, then continued to use that athleticism defensively. He moves well in both the IF and the OF, and showed off good arm strength as well by throwing 81 mph from the OF.


2019 Top Prospects

Byron Smith  OF - 2019 - Lexington, KY
Olney Central College

Smith was one of the major standouts all around in this event. He ran a 6.61 second 60 yard dash, and that plus athleticism was on display defensively as well. He's got real arm strength too, throwing 86 mph from the OF and 87 mph across the IF, to go along with big time bat speed and overall hitting tools.

Matthew Treadway  RHP - 2019 - Cincinnati, OH
Eastern Kentucky

Treadway showed very well in his time on the mound, working up to 84 mph with heavy, late life to the arm side, consistently pounding the zone with it. He also worked in a good breaking ball that was sharper the harder he threw it, and projects quite well on the mound moving forward.

Louie Kessinger  SS - 2019 - Lexington, KY
Reinhardt University

Kessinger showed good all around tools; showing clean actions and athleticism in the infield with good hands, throwing up to 80 mph across the diamond while also showed a simple, repeatable swing that produced hard line drives all over the field.

Nick Stepke  SS - 2019 - Rochester Hills, MI
Hillsdale

Stepke had a good all around event, and collected several hits in games as well. He's a very projectable athlete, running a 6.92 60 yard dash and throwing 82 mph across the diamond with clean actions in addition to showing a quick, line drive swing with good barrel skills to all fields.

Philip Cole  OF - 2019 - Columbus, OH

Cole turned in a plus 60 yard dash time, showing very good wheels en route to a 6.63 seconds time. He's very athletic, and that athleticism shows up defensively as well, where he looked good both in the outfield and in the infield.

Jacob Dupps  3B - 2019 - Louisville, KY
Hanover College

Dupps showed really well with the bat, showcasing very fast hands with very good bat speed and some strength, able to drive the ball up both gaps and definitely projects for more power. He also showed very good arm strength from the infield, topping out at 82 mph.

Trent Robinson  SS - 2019 - Louisville, KY

Robinson did a lot of things well in this event, including showing very good bat-to-ball skills with projectable power, as well as show good footwork in the infield with an 83 mph arm across the diamond. He also worked up to 81 mph on the mound and showed feel for his curveball.

Cooper Thacker  RHP - 2019 - Ellettsville, IN
University of Southern Indiana

Thacker showed quality arm strength from several spots, including the outfield (84 mph) and infield (82 mph). He also stood out on the mound, where he pounded the zone up to 81 mph and worked in a good slider as well.


2020 Top Prospects

Britten Robinson  2B - 2020 - Berea, KY
East Tenn State

Robinson showed very well on both sides of the ball. He really has the ability to control the barrel when swinging, generating good bat speed and showing the ability to drive the ball into both gaps. He also has controlled,

Jonathan Hogart  OF - 2020 - Madisonville, KY
Wabash Valley College

Hogart really impressed throughout the event, showing very good hitting tools with easily projectable power; quality ability behind the plate with a 2.02 seconds pop time and good athleticism, as well as working up to 80 mph on the mound with a good changeup.

Ryan Mendez  RHP - 2020 - Omaha, NE
Nebraska-Omaha

Mendez was quite good on the mound in this event, working up to 81 mph and generating big, heavy sinking life to both sides of the plate; while mixing in a sharp, bat-missing slider. He also showed good actions in the outfield and an 84 mph arm.


2021 Top Prospects

Kruise Newman  OF - 2021 - Richmond, KY
Tennessee

Newman was simply tremendous in this event, really opening some eyes. The highly athletic 2021 prospect threw 88 mph from the OF with very easy movements; and then got on the mound and touched 87 mph from a very fast arm, giving him big time upside moving forward.
