2015 Top Prospects

Ping Chun Ho  RHP - 2015 - Boca Raton, FL

Ho was excellent in his time on the mound for the Black team, consistently both missing barrels and bats. He worked up to 85 MPH with his heavy-sinking fastball; and also showed a very sharp, very tight curveball that he was able to throw for strikes.


2017 Top Prospects

Joseph Encarnacion  SS - 2017 - Queens, NY
Monroe College

Encarnacion stood out so much that he was transferred to the World Showcase, thanks due to his highly advanced defensive actions in the middle infield, where he was the highest graded prospect of the World Uncommitted event. He threw 87 MPH across the diamond and showed a quality approach when hitting as well.

Allen Mejia  LHP - 2017 - Boston, MA
Wabash Valley College

Mejia really stood out on the mound, working 82-86 MPH from the left side with a loose, fast arm; his fastball explodes out of the hand, his body projects, and he showed advanced feel for both his curveball and slider. Very good prospect.

Kenneth J Gonzalez  C - 2017 - Arecibo, PR

Gonzalez really impressed PG scouts with his defensive abilities in game, receiving and blocking extremely well and showing the headiness and arm strength needed to consistently back pick and pick off. He's a high end defensive catching prospect with interesting offensive tools as well.

Greg Balicki  2B - 2017 - Wellington, FL

Balicki consistently performed well in games, doing an excellent job to consistently work back through the middle on a line and get hits. He already has advanced hitting tools, and should unlock some power as he grows as well. His defensive actions in the IF are very good as well.

Luis DeLeon  SS - 2017 - Providence, RI

DeLeon was impactful in several ways, showing off plus speed with a 6.63 60 yard dash and throwing 85 MPH from the OF. He's a smooth IF glove as well, and showed interesting hitting tools with quality bat speed and some jump off the barrel.

Madera really stood out for his arm strength, where he was near the top of the event at 90 MPH from the OF. He's a solid defender in the OF in addition to that arm strength; and also showed tremendous raw power in his swing with the ability to drive the ball out of the park.

Nicholls was very good on the mound for the Gold team, working up to 86 MPH with good sinking life and lots of strikes. He also showed a very good changeup with lots of fade in addition to good sweeping curveball; and was able to miss bats with all three pitches.

Presinal has advanced physicality in addition to quality baseball skills, checking in at 6'2" 180 with excellent projection. He's a solid runner and athlete, and showed good arm strength from the OF up to 84 MPH to go along with lots of power and strength at the plate.

Roa really impressed with the bat, standing out in batting practice with good strength and bat speed with the ability to drive the ball deep. He was also solid in the game, barreling up the baseball well and showing the skill to work to all fields.

Sewell's physicality immediately stands out, as the 2017 prospect has tremendous projection and present build. He also shows excellent raw power at the plate with quality actions at 1B, as well as good arm strength on the mound where he worked up to 80 MPH from a tough low 3/4 arm slot.


2018 Top Prospects

Ysnabi Capote  C - 2018 - Hialeah, FL

Capote was very good all weekend in every facet of the game, showing loose hands with bat speed and strength at the plate, in addition having advanced defensive tools behind the plate. He has very good arm strength with smoothness to his footwork, very good receiver as well.

Anrae Strane Jr  OF - 2018 - Conyers, GA

Strane continues to show high-level athleticism and arm strength especially, running a sub-7 60 yard dash, throwing 92 MPH from the OF, 89 MPH across the IF, and working up to 86 MPH on the mound. He also showed increased bat speed with a quality line drive stroke
