We'll be seeing Shumpert play frequently over the next few months and it was good to see that he was in top physical shape and ready to have a great couple of months. His elite level bat speed plays up the harder the pitchers throw.
Greg Pickett

The 6-4/220 Pickett only came out to run and hit as he has some arm tenderness but looked to be in outstanding physical shape and otherwise ready for the PG National Showcase in a couple of weeks. He showed off his enormous power with one of the highest BP home runs you'll ever see hit.
Kam Lane

Lane is a tightly wound quick twitch athlete with lots of tools. He ran a 6.7 sixty and threw 92 mph from the outfield. He takes a full aggressive swing from the right side with very good raw bat speed and had some good game at bats, including a towering home run in his final at bat.
Alec Bohm
3B - 2015 - Omaha, NE
Wichita State
Bohm was one of the surprise prospects of the showcase. The 6-4/215 right handed hitter has a strong fluid swing and launched a no doubt home run to left centerfield in his first game. He also shows very light feet and good quickness at third base, especially for his size, and a strong and flexible throwing arm.
Tanner Bowden

Bowden is a very interesting athlete, a 6-3/180 outfielder with 6.6 speed in the sixty and the ability to use that speed with impact on the bases. He swung the bat much better in games than in BP and had at least four game hits, a couple of them shots for extra bases that let him showcase his speed.
Braden Stutzman

Stutzman is a primary middle infielder who is hopefully making a full-time conversion to catcher in the near future. He is very athletic behind the plate with a strong arm and threw out multiple runners in games. He's also a switch-hitter who really squares the ball up well and had three doubles in the games.
Jackson Cluff

Cluff still has some filling out to do but is an athletic middle infielder with outstanding range and quickness. He swings it from the left side with a short, crisp swing that will keep improving as he does get stronger.
Jordan Stephens

Stephens is a solid all around athlete with smooth and polished infield actions and some bat speed and gap power at the plate. We think he's going to end up as an offensive second baseman and play at a high college level early in his career.
Peyton Remy

Remy was the hardest thrower at the event, topping out at 88 mph to go with a hard mid-70's curveball and a nice change up. He showed command and pitchability with all three pitches and a mature approach on the mound.
Jonathan Davis

University of Arkansas-Little Rock
Davis has a prototypical catcher's build at a very strong 5-11/190. He uses his strength well to swing the bat from the left side and the ball comes off his barrel hard, especially when he's pulling the ball.
Taylor Williams

Williams had an incredible performance, striking out 10 hitters in 3 innings of work. He worked in the mid-80's from a deceptive delivery and got many of his strikeouts on his breaking ball, which he showed outstanding feel for and varied the velocity between 72 and 77 mph and changed the shape and location at will. His change up was also a pretty good pitch.
Jared Crockett

Crockett was the fastest runner at the event with a 6.60 sixty but is more than just a sprinter. He has a short and slashing left handed swing that showed gap power and plays the game hard in a way that really maximizes his best tool.
Aidan Cameron

Cameron was only able to play on Sunday due to his high school playoffs but impressed us in a short look and we definitely want to see more of him. He has a lanky and athletic 6-4/170 build and a crisp left handed swing that pulled a couple of hard line drives in the game.
Jared Case

Case has a young 6-2/175 build and a loose arm that produced steady 84-86 mph fastballs. He threw what was probably the best changeup of the showcase in the mid-70's with outstanding diving action at times and had lots of well deserved confidence in the pitch.
Logan Soole

Southern Illinois
Soole is a high level athlete with the potential to really improve both offensively and on the mound and we're not sure at what position he projects the best. He's a 6.7 runner with high level defensive skills in the outfield. His bat speed stands out from the left side if he can make some swing adjustments to use it. He topped out at 82 on the mound but has plenty more velocity in his arm.
Marc Mumper

Mumper is a nice all around athlete who is going to keep improving as he gets stronger. He ran a 6.7 sixty, showed middle infield tools on defense and swung the bat well from the right side.
Chandler Greenfield

Washington State
Greenfield is a solid two-way prospect. He was very polished on the mound, with an 84-86 mph fastball that he commanded well and a very nice 11/5 curveball that was his out pitch and one that he picked up a number of strikeouts with. He also showed next level hitting tools from the right side of the plate.
Ryan Beard
LHP - 2015 - Meridian, ID

Beard is an interesting two-way prospect and a rare Throws Left/Bats Right player. He has a long lifting swing at the plate and big power, which he showed with a couple of BP home runs. He topped out at 84 mph on the mound and had all the pitches, including a 2-seam fastball, both a slider and curveball, plus a change up.
Hunter Strong
OF - 2015 - Sheridan, AR

Strong has an aggressive left handed swing with the strength and bat speed to drive the ball hard. He also showed solid overall athleticism, running a 7.00 sixty and throwing 86 mph from the outfield.
Ryan Connolly

Connolly is a long and loose 6-4/185 projectable left hander. He topped out at 84 mph with a good curveball at this event but we've heard he's been up to 86-87 mph consistently all spring, leading to a verbal commitment to Nebraska.
Thomas Jahde

Jahde is a solid all around athlete with good strength in his right handed swing, 6.85 speed in the sixty and a strong throwing arm. He,, like a couple of his Regis Jesuit HS teammates, only performed on Sunday but are very good prospects we will be seeing more of this summer.
Mitchell Hagan

Hagan has an outstanding 6-3/205 build with long, loose athletic actions. He's a switch hitter with an ideal combination of bat speed, projection and a mature feel for hitting from both sides of the plate. Hagan can take pitches and go hard the opposite way in addition to turning on the ball with power. He also topped out at 82 mph from the mound.
Nathan Pierce

Pierce really impressed with the bat, especially for a 2016. He takes an aggressive left handed swing looking to pull the ball and showed lots of power potential that is just going keep improving as he fills out his 5-11/175 build.
Quin Cotton

Cotton is a very athletic centerfielder with the potential to be a speedy leadoff hitter on offense and an impact defensive player at a premium position. He was also one of the players who missed Saturday's action due to high school playoffs and well look forward to seeing him often this summer.
Issac Bracken

Bracken is a very interesting young athlete who posted the top throwing velocities in drills from both the infield and outfield and definitely showed plus arm strength for his age in games in the infield. His defense is ahead of his offense at present but he has lots of room to grow and get stronger.
Nathan Sweeney

Sweeney is a young athletic right hander with an outstanding arm and big upside. He threw 92 mph from the outfield, 87 mph from the infield and topped out at 86 mph on the mound, although we think he might have reached the upper 80's if he hadn't thrown from positions during drills.
Austin Wood

Wood has an outstanding young pitcher's build and 6-4/195 and a very young face. He pitched in the 83-86 mph range with good downhill angle to the plate and flashed good spin on his curveball as well.
Frank Sheehy

Sheehy has a nice, loose 6-2/175 build and a quick arm that produced an 83-86 mph fastball. His curveball flashed good spin and hard 12/6 biting action when he got out front with the pitch.
Jake Eissler

Eissler pitched in the mid-80's, topping out at 86 mph, from a compact arm action and delivery that showed lots of deception. He filled up the zone with three pitches, including a nice changeup and good curveball.

Marr has a big and solid 6-3/190 build that is very strong for a 2016 and showed tools on both sides of the ball. He topped out at 84 mph on the mound with a good curveball and spotted his pitches effectively. He also showed good right handed power at the plate.

Bailey has all the tools to be a high level hitter as he fills out his 6-1/160 frame. He has quick hands and good present bat speed and hits hard line drives.

Donels doesn't quite have the projectable frame that Bailey has but is plenty big and strong enough for a 2017 at 5-10/170. He also has nice hitting tools, with quick hands and present bat speed and the ability to drive the ball hard.
