2020 Top Prospects

Jaycee Flores  RHP - 2020 - La Puente, CA
Uncommitted

Posted the highest velocity off of the mound at the event topping out at 87 mph. He has a free and easy motion with strong command of his arsenal. Truthfully sat in the mid-80's throughout his outing and showcased a low 11-to-5 shaped slider that could blossom into a plus pitch. He didn't have to go to his secondary pitches much as he was changing hitter's eye levels with intent and dotting his fastball up to both sides of the plate.

Justin Baldwin  1B - 2020 - Los Angeles, CA
Uncommitted

Athletic on both sides of the baseball. Listed as a primary first baseman but looked fantastic from the outfield. Posted one of the top ten sixty-yard dash times at the event. Threw 88 mph from first base and his athleticism already translates well to his overall game. Smoked a double to his pull side at the plate and finds good whip with his barrel through the zone.

Andrew Kotin  RHP - 2020 - Irvine, CA
Cypress College

Up to 86 mph on the mound with confidence in his three pitch mix. Fluid motion down the hill with a free and loose arm that creates velocity pretty easily. His physical frame suggests that his arm will continue to strengthen and he'll make a big jump this year as his secondary stuff starts to refine. Posted the highest outfield velocity at the event at 87 mph.

Orlando Arellano  OF - 2020 - Spring Valley, CA
Uncommitted

Tied for the second highest outfield velocity posted at the event. He works quickly to the ball and stays fluid through his throwing motion. His balanced, high contact approach with present bat speed saw him lace a triple to his pull side gap in game.

Jorge Romero  C - 2020 - North Hills, CA
Uncommitted

Physical backstop that posted the highest velocity behind the plate and was tied for the highest exit velocity at the event. Also posted the second quickest pop time by all catchers. Generated a loud batting practice session as he looks to pull with authority. He finds great extension through the finish of his slightly elevated swing path.

Marcos Contreras  RHP - 2020 - Fontana, CA
Uncommitted

Sat 82-85 mph on the hill with a plus curveball that shows fantastic promise. As his arm develops the curveball could blossom into an elite slider. His balanced and compact motion along with his short and quick arm action helps his fastball to get in on the hands of hitters. He struck out five through three innings. Also collected three hits including two doubles in his second game of the showcase.

2021 Top Prospects

Will Potter  SS - 2021 - Temecula, CA
California Baptist

Tied for the highest exit velocity posted at the event. Moves well at short and showcased some softness to his glove work. He gets great leverage out of a heavy linear weight shift in the box with a toe tap trigger and he impressed with an opposite field double that forced him to use his hands to go down and get. Also touched 81 mph on the mound with a good slider that shows potential.

Ethan Felix  C - 2021 - Redondo Beach, CA
UC Davis

Tied for the quickest pop time to second base at the event, he impressed with his maturity behind the plate and ability to translate that same quickness into the game. His quick hands and good feel for the barrel will translate nicely to the next level and his skills behind the plate only stand to improve as he gets stronger. He also flashed some power in game after he one hopped the wall in dead left field for a double.

Anthony Alvarez  SS - 2021 - Oxnard, CA
Uncommitted

Posted the quickest sixty-yard dash time at the event with a 6.81 second time. Shows fluidity and lightness to his feet from the infield and posted the highest infield velocity across the diamond at 86 mph. His raw tools along with present bat speed at the plate make him an interesting prospect to follow going forward.

Carson Olsen  RHP - 2021 - Murrieta, CA
California Baptist

Strong raw numbers on both sides of the ball as he touched 86 mph off the mound and tied for the second highest exit velocity posted at the event coming in at 88 mph off the bat. Struck out seven through four innings of work. Large physical frame projects well on the mound and profiles as more of a corner guy in the infield. Impressed with his athleticism off the bag at first base.

2022 Top Prospects

Gavin Lass  OF - 2022 - San Diego, CA
Uncommitted

Impressed from the outfield with his sound mechanics and solid overall feel for the position. Also pitched two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. The freshman has raw overall tools with an athletic frame that projects to get stronger. Posted one of the top ten sixty-yard dash times at the event with a 6.95 second time.

2023 Top Prospects

Vincent Cervantes  SS - 2023 - Lake Balboa, CA
Uncommitted

Mature looking 2023 in the outfield with raw tools that project. His smooth and fluid stroke at the plate feels developed and he possesses the strength to drive the ball into both gaps. He posted one of the top ten exit velocities at the event as a freshman. Impressive stuff.

Bobby Bangs  RHP - 2023 - Irvine, CA
Uncommitted

Threw four no hit innings while fanning eight and displayed excellent pitchability. Goes right after guys with his up to 80 mph fastball, and mixes in both a curveball and changeup. He understands his stuff well and was sequencing his pitches nicely, moving back and forth between fastballs in and curveballs away to right handed hitters.

2024 Top Prospects

Will Wyles  OF - 2024 - Williamsburg, VA
Hampden-Sydney College

Freshman that has some serious potential on the mound as his arm develops. Was up to 80 mph and flashed a true three pitch mix with solid command of all three pitches. Wasn't afraid to pitch backwards and showed the confidence to mix in his secondary pitches more than his fastball at times. Also possesses present bat speed at the plate and posted one of the top ten exit velocities at the event. Smoked a triple and a double in the same game he was on the mound.
