2022 Top Prospects

Hunter Komine  OF - 2022 - Mill Creek, WA
San Diego

Was one of the more impressive bats during the weekend. Komine displayed some impressive bat speed, and he did a great job of firing and clearing his hips to create some natural leverage in the swing. The aggressive fire and bat speed lead to him punishing baseballs. In the outfield, Komine had a clean and efficient approach to the baseball before making some accurate throws that were on a line up to 80 mph.

Maddox Haley  3B - 2022 - La Mesa, CA
San Diego State

Haley showed a smooth, clean hand path to baseball with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. The 2022 grad consistently delivered his bat head to contact with intent and looked to drive the baseball with authority to the middle of the field between the gaps.


2023 Top Prospects

James DeCremer III  RHP - 2023 - Scottsdale, AZ
Oregon State

The Arizona native utilized a long, loose arm action that produced good whip through extension. Fastball came out of hand cleanly creating good run to arm side with some tilt to the bottom of the zone, topped at 83 miles per hour. Flashed a tight 11/5 breaking ball that froze hitters when maintaining arm speed at release.

Dillon DeSpain  RHP - 2023 - Hawthorne, CA
Uncommitted

Despain showed the ability to work fastball to each edge of the zone while generating good downhill tilt, topped at 80 miles per hour. The 2023 grad consistently worked ahead of hitters with fastball before turning to a 11/5 breaking ball later in counts to create swings and misses. The Hawthorne native also showed good rhythm offensively at the plate showing the barrel control and bat speed to work to all fields sharply.

Brennan Seiber  RHP - 2023 - Newport Beach, CA
Vanderbilt

The Newport Beach right handed displayed good poise on the mound with the ability to repeats his mechanics. Seiber looked to attach the bottom quadrants of the strike zone with a running fastball that worked up to 83 miles per hour. The 2023 grad also showed good depth in the upper 60's with his breaking ball and flashed the ability to generate sink with a changeup in the low 70's.

Zachary Justice  C - 2023 - Bend, OR
Oregon

Justice was impressive both on the mound and behind the plate during the weekend. On the mound, Justice ran his fastball up to 78 and showed an ability to throw three pitches for strikes. The loose and fluid arm comes across his body and creates some natural run when pitching to the arm side. Behind the plate, Justice popped a 2.00 and showed some quick feet and athleticism. The arm strength was some of the at the position. At the plate, Justice flashed some power to the pull side and was constantly looking to drive the baseball with intent.

Eli Athanas  SS - 2023 - Castle Rock, CO
Central Connecticut State

Showed great barrel control and the ability to drive the baseball through the middle of the field throughout a weekend that included a multi-hit game. Athanas, a member of the 2023 class, displayed some very projectable skills at the plate including a clean and simple path to the baseball that he repeated well. Defensively, Athanas approached the ball well and showed some good actions with the glove that could develop as he gets older and adds strength.

Sebastian David  SS - 2023 - Medina, WA
Stanford

David showed some great versatility throughout the weekend. On the mound, David had fast arm that worked from a compact three-quarters slot, and a fastball that topped at 77. Most impressive in David’s outing was the confidence to throw his breaking ball in any count throughout. The breaking ball had good shape and was used as a swing and miss pitch late in the outing. At the plate, David showed some clean and smooth swing actions that allowed him to work to each gap. David throws the barrel well and the ball jumps off his bat.
