2022 Top Prospects

Isaiah Mack  3B - 2022 - Cornelius, NC
University of Alabama at Birmingham

Mack ranks among the strongest players in the 2023 class and the ball comes off his barrel differently. When he learns how to turn the barrel with consistency, watch out.

2023 Top Prospects

Antonio Anderson  SS - 2023 - Atlanta, GA
Georgia Tech

Anderson entered the Games as the 10th ranked player in the 2023 class and did nothing to hurt that ranking, showing superior bat speed from both sides of the plate along with throwing 90 mph off the mound.

Zander Mueth  RHP - 2023 - Swansea, IL
Mississippi

All the slender 6-5/185 Mueth did was break the PG All-American Underclass fastball velocity record by hitting 95 mph, breaking the old record co-held by Chicago White Sox All-Star Lucas Giolito and 2021 All-American Riley Stanford.

Roch Cholowsky  SS - 2023 - Chandler, AZ
UCLA

The son of former 1st round pick and current Reds scout Dan Cholowski, Roch was one of the most impressive talents at the Games, with silky smooth defensive actions in the middle of the field and a very accurate and strong swing at the plate.

Stone Russell  SS - 2023 - Bradenton, FL
Florida

Russell was one of the top hitters at the games, lining a couple of singles up the middle in game action and also putting a grown man swing on a ball and lining a home run over the left field fence.

Eric Bitonti  SS - 2023 - Hesperia, CA
Oregon

Bitonti is a left handed hitting middle infielder with a very projectable 6-4/200 frame and lots of present athleticism. The best part may be that Bitonti is only 15 years old and won't turn 16 until December.

Dean West  OF - 2023 - Woodland Hills, CA
UCLA

West is one of the top speed players in the 2023 class and looks like a classic centerfield/leadoff hitter at the next level. He changes the game when he's on base.

Francesco Capocci  RHP - 2023 - Cumming, GA
North Carolina

Capocci is a high level two-way prospect with both big right handed bat speed and a strong right arm. He was up to 92 mph on the mound with 2500+ fastball spin rates that created some bad swings off his heater.

Duke Ekstrom  RHP - 2023 - San Diego, CA
Vanderbilt

Ekstrom was one of the more polished pitchers in San Diego, showing a mature mix of a lively fastball that touched 90 mph, a nice curveball and a fading change up. He's a Vanderbilt commit.

Will Gasparino  OF - 2023 - Los Angeles, CA
Texas

Gasparino, the son of Dodgers Amateur Scouting Director Billy Gasparino, is a graceful 6-5/190 outfielder who showed his tools and skills both offensively and defensively, where he made several outstanding running catches.

Gavin Grahovac  OF - 2023 - Orange, CA
Texas A&M

Grahovac is a very versatile athlete who can play all over the field with lots of arm strength and athleticism and it will be interesting where he eventually ends up. His right handed bat will buy him lots of time to let that evolve.

Luke Rodriguez  RHP - 2023 - Shafter, CA
UCLA

A Stanford commit, the 6-3/190 Rodriguez has a chance to be one of the hardest throwers in the 2023 class. He worked in the 89-92 mph range easily with a loose and fast arm that really projects.

Brandon Winokur  SS - 2023 - Huntington Beach, CA
UCLA

Winokur is a 6-4/190 shortstop with a likely third base future but his future will be driven by his right handed swing, as he has huge power and put on a show in batting practice. He was also 90 mph off the mound with a nice curveball.

Ashton Larson  OF - 2023 - Overland Park, KS
Louisiana State

Larson has one of the prettiest and most fluid left handed swings in the 2023 class and it's only a matter of getting stronger before that swing translates to some real and consistent power.

Cooper Pratt  SS - 2023 - Oxford, MS
Mississippi

Pratt is a graceful 6-4/185 middle infielder who is still adding strength and will be for some time to come. He stood out for his performance at the plate, where he went 3-3 on Sunday and came back with a loud double down the left field line on Monday.

Dylan Vigue  SS - 2023 - Leominster, MA
Michigan

The 6-3/190 Vigue is a primary middle infielder at present but he sure looked like a high level pitcher down the road. He threw a very lively 88-91 mph fastball and showed one of the best breaking balls at the games with consistent 2600+ spin rates.

Zach Wadas  1B - 2023 - Phoenix, AZ
TCU

Wadas is a very athletic first baseman who can play the outfield as well. A left handed hitter with real bat speed, Wadas gets a light Christian Yelich comparison for his body and tools at the same age.

Trent Caraway  SS - 2023 - Dana Point, CA
Oregon State

Caraway is a big and strong right handed hitter with a third base profile at the next level. Along with his plus bat speed and power potential, he also threw 93 mph during infield drills.

Aidan Coleman  RHP - 2023 - San Antonio, TX
Pittsburgh

Coleman is a very good athlete with two-way potential as a strong defender at third base with a three-pitch mix, including a 88-91 mph fastball, on the mound. He's going to keep improving in all areas.

Pete Craska  1B - 2023 - Kennesaw, GA
Georgia Tech

Craska is basically a clone of the Brewers Dan Vogelbach at the same age. A left handed hitter listed at 6-1/230, Craska takes a huge swing at the plate; one swing ended up with a majestic big back spin home run to right field, another with a sky high pop up that fell untouched it was so high. No one had more fun over the two days, either, than Craska.

Eric Guevara  SS - 2023 - Statesboro, GA
Auburn

Guevara is very strong for his age, especially with his hands at the plate. He's a polished defender in the middle infield with soft hands and smooth actions.

Mac Heuer  RHP - 2023 - Greensboro, GA
Texas Tech

Heuer was one of the more physical pitchers at the Games, with a strong 6-4/215 body but a loose arm and a nice flowing delivery. He worked 88-91 mph with his fastball to go with a mid-70's breaking ball that got plenty of swing and miss.

Zane Kelly  OF - 2023 - Las Vegas, NV
San Diego State

Kelly showed his athleticism and arm strength very well on defense both at first base and in the outfield, where he profiles in right field. He showed his left handed bat speed with a violent line drive off the top of the right field fence during the games.

Vaughn Major  SS - 2023 - La Mesa, CA
UC Santa Barbara

Major is a slender 6-3 primary shortstop but he might have a higher ceiling on the mound. He only works mid-80's now but there's tons of projection in his arm and body and he can really spin a slider.

Luke McNeillie  RHP - 2023 - Milton, GA
Florida

McNeillie has a broad shouldered 6-3/165 build and already throws three quality pitches from a low effort delivery and arm action. He topped out at 90 mph but his curveball and change up were just as good of offerings as his fastball.

Brady Reynolds  OF - 2023 - Bakersfield, CA
Stanford

Reynolds is a left handed hitter who combines big strength at contact with a simple and repeatable swing. He has a chance to really develop with the bat.

Austen Roellig  SS - 2023 - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Louisiana State

Roellig is the prototype polished Southern California middle infield prospect, with a very sound swing approach and a high contact line drive swing. He looks like a second baseman at the next level and is committed to LSU.

Carl Schmidt  SS - 2023 - Petaluma, CA
Texas A&M

Schmidt is another player who could end up either in the infield or outfield or both down the road. He is a polished right handed hitter who has always been a high level performer in game action.

Addison Smith  SS - 2023 - Liberty, MO
Oklahoma State

Smith is a loose and athletic 6-1/170 middle infielder with nice arm strength. He's a switch-hitter at the plate and his best overall tool might be his right handed swing and very fast hands.

Nolan Stevens  1B - 2023 - Elk Grove, CA
Mississippi State

Stevens has a smooth left handed swing that really projects well. His defense at first base was outstanding and he's plenty athletic enough to play corner outfield as well.

Ethan Woolsey  RHP - 2023 - Escondido, CA
Uncommitted

Woolsey is one of the rare high school pitchers who can throw four pitches and have some command and feel for all of them. His best pitch might have been an 80 mph change up that played very well off his 88-90 mph change up.

Alec Belardes  RHP - 2023 - San Jose, CA
Arizona State

Belardes was one of the spin masters of the Games, with an 88-90 mph fastball that had 2500+ spin rates and a 73 mph hammer curveball that got up over 2800 rpm a couple of times.

Garet Boehm  3B - 2023 - Taylor, TX
Texas Tech

Boehm has a classic third base look at 6-3/205 and classic third base tools offensively and defensively. He can overpower some balls as a right handed hitter at the plate.

Casey Borba  3B - 2023 - Santa Ana, CA
Texas

Borba was the definition of "Steady" for two days in San Diego, handling every ball at third base cleanly, making very accurate throws and putting the barrel on the ball it seemed like every swing. He slows the game down very well in all areas.

Paul Farley  RHP - 2023 - Kennesaw, GA
Georgia

Farley is a lean and projectable 6-2/160 right hander with a loose and fast arm. He worked up to 90 mph with his fastball but his best pitch was a low 80's slider that was tight and sharp.

Noah Miller  C - 2023 - Lasalle, MI
Michigan

Miller is a high energy primary catcher who stood out in all aspects of the game. He takes a big right handed swing at the plate with nice bat speed, hits 90 mph off the mound and has leadership abilities with his style of play.

Edward Phelps III  3B - 2023 - Kennesaw, GA
Georgia

Phelps is a big right handed hitter who really showed his power well in batting practice by lifting a couple of 400+ foot shots over the centerfield fence. He's solid defensively at third base as well.

Cole Schoenwetter  RHP - 2023 - Santa Barbara, CA
UC Santa Barbara

Schoenwetter is listed at 6-3/190 and looks taller, with long arms and legs that flow through his delivery. He topped out at 91 mph and there's plenty more velocity there as he matures physically.

Brayden Bakes  OF - 2023 - Algonquin, IL
Indiana

The outfield playing, left handed hitting member of the Bakes Brothers, Brayden has a very strong swing that ended up hitting some of the hardest balls of the event.

Ryan Bakes  C - 2023 - Algonquin, IL
South Carolina

The catcher/third base, right handed hitting Bakes Twin, Ryan hits from basically the same hitting approach as his brother with pretty much the same plus bat speed and power potential.

Cameron Kim  SS - 2023 - Jurupa Valley, CA
UCLA

Kim passes the eye test at an athletic 6-3/200 and may have the athleticism to stay in the middle infield as well. A UCLA commit, he has plenty of power projection in his right handed swing.

Will Matuszak  SS - 2023 - Los Angeles, CA
UC Santa Barbara

Matuszak is a quick and agile defender at shortstop who plays the position with some flair to go with his skill. He puts the barrel on the ball consistently and will keep improving offensively as he gets stronger.

Nico Newhan  SS - 2023 - Vista, CA
Arizona

The son of former big league utilityman and current Angels infield coach David Newhan, Nico looks like the same type of player as his father. He has plus "hitter's hands" at the plate with quickness and strength in his swing.

Kamdyn Perry  RHP - 2023 - Las Vegas, NV
St. Mary's

Perry has great projection on the mound, with a smooth and easy arm action and a present 87-90 mph fastball that is going to add plenty more velocity as he adds strength to his 6-3/190 frame.

Garren Rizzo  RHP - 2023 - Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
Southern California

Rizzo is a very athletic two-way prospect who could easily play both at the next level, which will be at Washington for Rizzo. He's a high energy athlete who is going to max out his potential.

Tristan Russell  SS - 2023 - Cypress, TX
University of Houston

Russell could end up either in the outfield or the infield defensively or perhaps as a super utility player. His ability to switch-hit makes him even more versatile.

Cole Selvig  RHP - 2023 - Altoona, WI
Texas

Selvig has a solidly built 5-11/185 build and lets his strong lower half drive his delivery. He worked consistently in the 89-91 mph range and showed a slider that consistently had spin rates in the 2550-2700 range.

Kai Caranto  2B - 2023 - Castaic, CA
California Lutheran University

Caranto doesn't stand out physically but he was one of the best pure baseball players in San Diego. He's going to be an easy plus second baseman defensively and has a loose and quick line drive swing at the plate.

Jet Gilliam  OF - 2023 - Henderson, NV
College of Southern Nevada

Gilliam is a quick twitch athlete with 6.6 speed and very fast hands at the plate that give him a high offensive ceiling. He's gained strength and bat speed over the summer.

Will Shelor  RHP - 2023 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted

Shelor works from the stretch with a high energy delivery but is athletic enough to command three quality pitches well. He topped out at 91 mph with a very nice change up and hard curveball.

JT Kelenic  OF - 2023 - Waukesha, WI
Grand Canyon

Kelenic has a completely different body and baseball profile than his Seattle Mariners brother, but the 6-4/200 right handed hitter does have one thing in common and that is big bat speed and power potential

Trenton Lyons  C - 2023 - Memphis, TN
Mississippi

Lyons is that rarest of talent profiles, a switch-hitting catcher with plenty of athleticism on defense and bat speed as a true switch-hitter on offense. He looked especially good from the left side of the plate.

Carson Ohland  C - 2023 - Maple Valley, WA
University of Washington

It may not be a coincidence that two of the catchers on the Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List are switch-hitters. Ohland has nice athleticism and lower half actions behind the plate to go with bat speed from both sides of the plate.

Darnell W Parker Jr  SS - 2023 - Suffolk, VA
Wichita State

Parker is a very mobile and agile shortstop who is fun to watch play defense. His ceiling will be determined by how much stronger he can get to drive his right handed swing.

Brody Mills  1B - 2023 - Yakima, WA
University of Washington

Mills is a big and strong left handed hitter first baseman from Washington who absolutely crushed a couple of balls in the games, including a big triple to the 385 sign in right centerfield. He was also up to 88 mph from the left side with good feel for the strike zone.

2024 Top Prospects

Derek Curiel  OF - 2024 - West Covina, CA
Louisiana State

Curiel is the top ranked 2024 in country and it's easy to see why. He has easy plus speed in the outfield and on the bases and the left handed hitter brings high level bat speed to the plate, too.

2025 Top Prospects

Vaughn Neckar  RHP - 2025 - Murrieta, CA
Louisiana State

Neckar is a big and strong 2025 who was brought in to work a couple of innings and really shined. Although he's listed as a primary third baseman, Neckar was up to 90 mph with big fastball sink and run during his two innings of work.
