Garcia isn't a big athlete at 5-8/160 but he has lots of tools. He played all over the field on defense but looked best on the mound, where he topped out at 88 mph from a deceptive arm angle.

Hayes swung the bat as well as we've ever seen him swing it and looks geared for a big summer. He's very focused on hitting the ball hard to the gaps and gets excellent carry on his line drives, which makes us wonder what he would do if he really looked to lift the ball occasionally.

Rizer was another player who showed tools all over the field. His batting practice was one of the top 5 at the showcase and he showed bat speed and power from the left side. The Louisiana-Lafayette commit also threw 91 mph from the outfield, ran a 6.9 sixty and even topped out at 86 mph from the mound with lots of polish.
Nate Fisbeck

Fisbeck is a quality two-way prospect with a loose, projectable body that is just beginning to get strong. His right handed swing has very good extension and present bat speed and he showed his power in game action. Fisbeck also threw up to 88 mph off the mound with big running life at times. He projects as a third baseman at the next level as a position player.
Colin Cameron

Cameron was one of the events top pitching prospects, with a projectable 6-3/190 frame and lots of present stuff. He topped out at 89 mph with good running life on his fastball and and had a complete assortment of secondary pitches to go with it. Cameron also showed he was a quality athlete with some potential with the bat.
Elijah MacNamee
OF - 2015 - Cypress, TX

MacNamee has a projectable 6-2/180 build and lots of very solid tools that are just going to get better with additional strength. He threw 93 mph from the outfield and 85 mph from the mound, ran a 6.9 sixty, and showed some of the best bat speed at the event.
Tristan Metten

Metten has a nice balance of tools, especially for a young player who looks like he's going to be able to stay in the middle infield on defense. He has a big throwing arm, runs well (6.8) and is strong enough to generate present bat speed. He's a verbal commit to Texas A&M.

Law is a polished 6-0/190 right hander with three solid pitches he mixes well in an upper 80's fastball that topped out at 89 mph plus a curveball and change up. He should be a very successful college pitcher.

Mortenson is a 6-4/180 catcher who showed good athleticism behind the plate, especially for his height, but he may have a higher ceiling on the mound. He topped out at 88 mph on his fastball but his best pitch was a hard 76 mph curveball with bite and depth.

Hockenbury stood out on both sides of the ball with a loose, powerful right handed swing at the plate and a hose behind the plate that registered an event high 84 mph in drills.

Kopecky is a quality two way prospect who pretty much did everything during the showcase. He showed a plus Hit tool in batting practice, showed off his power potential with a game home run, ran a 6.8 sixty and topped out at 88 mph off the mound with a mid-70's breaking ball.

Aldaco still has to add some strength to his lean 6-4/190 build but he has lots of interesting tools that are worth being patient for. His right handed swing is geared for power and lift but he's also a good athlete who ran a 7.0 sixty and showed nice arm strength across the diamond.

Simon looks the prospect part at 6-2/190 and showed tools all over the board. He has a very fluid delivery and a three-pitch mix that includes a fastball that topped out at 87 mph. Simon also ran a 6.7 sixty and showed his left handed power in batting practice.

Peters is a 5-9/165 athlete with 6.8 speed that played up during the games and very good bat speed from an aggressive approach that produced hard contact and gap power in the games.

Swanson lists his position as "Catcher/Utility" and he was right on the money as he played all over the field with skill and tools, including popping an event leading 1.80 during drills. He also ran a 6.80 sixty and showed a loose swing with developing bat speed.

Kyle ran the fastest sixty of the event with a 6.63 but showed that he was more than just a runner with a short, crisp swing from the left side that opened eyes with a long game home run.

Golson has a projectable build with some present strength and a short, crisp swing that has lots of bat speed and gap power. He drove the ball consistently all weekend and had a double and triple in one game. He also ran a 6.9 sixty.

Philp has a nice 6-3/200 pitcher's build with lots of present strength and room for more. He pitched steadily in the 84-86 mph range with a very nice change up and developing curveball. The left handed hitter also showed his power at the plate with a home run down the line in the games.

Sweeny High School had a number of very nice young players at the event and has an especially strong 2016 class. Erikson showed nice middle infield actions and the tools to stay at shortstop defensively. Like all the Sweeny players, he swung the bat aggressively with bat speed and some pop.

The 6-1/195 Skinner was a late add-on to the event but stood out. He slammed one of the longest home runs of batting practice with an aggressive pull oriented swing and looked solid behind the plate.

Zubia is an extra large and strong young man with a 6-4/210 frame that looks even bigger. He has easy plus power when he gets his arm extended and squares up the ball. Zubia's arm strength is his second best tool and he topped out at 85 mph off the mound.

Washington's power is pretty astounding for a young player just coming out of his freshman year. He put on a show in BP, launching numerous bombs, and hit a game home run as well. The power comes easily for him. And he's a very good athlete who ran a 6.8 sixty as well.
