2020 Top Prospects

Gideon Antle  OF - 2020 - Licking, MO
Jefferson CC

Antle is a very good all around athlete who has positional versatility all over the infield and outfield and is a strong right handed hitter with bat speed and an aggressive approach. A strong student, he's also an uncommitted senior.

Connor Carson  RHP - 2020 - Overland Park, KS
Uncommitted

Carson has a nice 6-3/185 pitcher's body and three present pitches in a cutting fastball that reached 85 mph, a tight 77 mph slider and a firm 80 mph sinking change up. The senior is currently not committed per the PG database.

Dash Goldston  RHP - 2020 - Overland Park, KS
Uncommitted

Goldston was listed as a primary third baseman coming into the event but the strong 6-1/195 senior is clearly a primary pitcher based on this look. He was up to 84 mph on the mound with outstanding bat breaking life on his fastball to go with a darting slider and deeper curveball.

Charlie Roder  LHP - 2020 - Kansas City, MO
Drury University

Roder isn't a high velocity pitching prospect but he is a left hander who does the two things that similar left handers do to get outs at the college level. He works low in the zone with life on an 81 mph fastball and he has a very good tight slider that he can spot to both left and right handed hitters. He's also a 4.0 student in the classroom.

2021 Top Prospects

Jack Hunke  RHP - 2021 - Foristell, MO
Missouri State

A Missouri State commit, Hunke worked three innings and struck out six hitter using a heavy sinking fastball that topped out at 87 mph. His secondary weapon was a hard biting 74 mph breaking ball and he threw strikes and attacked with both pitches.

Morgan Lunceford  RHP - 2021 - Edmond, OK
San Diego

Lunceford has been a regular at PG showcases and tournaments in 2019 and he always brings solid stuff to the mound. He worked up to 86 mph at this event, a bit down from his touching 89 a couple of times earlier this summer, and showed both a tight upper 70's slider and nice change up while filling up the strike zone.

Cal Kilgore  C - 2021 - Overland Park, KS
Arkansas

Kilgore stood out both offensively and defensively. He's quick and smooth behind the plate defensively with big arm strength and has the same type of quick twitch ability in developing raw bat speed from the right side.

Aaron Moss  SS - 2021 - St. Louis, MO
Indiana State

Moss has explosive quickness and athleticism behind the plate to go with near elite level raw arm strength and just needs some polish and experience to become a high level catcher defensively. His right handed bat speed plays well, too.

Walker Immel  SS - 2021 - Springdale, AR
Uncommitted

Immel is an athletic middle infielder with 6.80 speed in the sixty. His arm from shortstop was very loose and easy while registering 83 mph on the gun and he has solid actions overall on defense. He might be a better prospect on the mound, where he was up to 85 mph with a very fast arm.

Luke Quackenbush  3B - 2021 - Springfield, MO
Jefferson College

Quackenbush was the highest graded hitter at the entire showcase, with a fast and aggressive line drive swing from the right side that produced very consistent hard line drive contact. His tools are third base are solid and he also threw 83 mph off the mound.

Mason Luna  MIF - 2021 - Dora, MO
Uncommitted

Mason Luna is the best present athlete of the three Luna brothers who were at the showcase, showing off 6.86 speed . He showed tools from both the infield and outfield with a strong arm from both places.

Noah Young  RHP - 2021 - Overland Park, KS
St. Louis

Young has a long and slender 6-2/155 build and a long and loose arm action that produced a fastball up to 85 mph and a big breaking curveball. He threw strikes with both pitches and is a good bet to keep improving as he gets stronger.

Auston Luna  OF - 2021 - Dora, MO
Uncommitted

Auston Luna showed both good bat speed and solid overall hitting mechanics from the right side and can get the ball to jump hard when he stays back behind it. He projects to keep getting stronger and keep improving his raw bat speed.

Blake Bridges  OF - 2021 - Nixa, MO
Drury University

Bridges is a long and still projectable 6-4/175 athlete who runs a 6.79 sixty and threw 88 mph from the outfield. His best potential tool, though, is his right handed power, which is set to bloom with a couple of basic hitting adjustments.

Markell Dixon  RHP - 2021 - St. Louis, MO
Southern

Dixon was one of the best athletes at the event, including running a 6.71 sixty and throwing 88 mph from the outfield while grading out as the top defensive outfielder during drills. The 5-11/150 right handed hitter has a loose swing and will continue to improve at the plate with increased strength.

Grant Rhodes  OF - 2021 - Parkville, MO
Crowder College

Rhodes has a very young 6-2/160 frame but already has plenty of raw bat speed and explosion at contact from the left side of the plate, helped by a very solid hitting approach. He drove some balls much harder than one would expect given his frame and is just going to keep improving.

Jacob Frost  1B - 2021 - Saint Louis, MO
Kansas State/Wabash Valley College

Frost is a big and strong 6-2/210 left handed hitting first baseman with a loose swing and strength in his barrel with a gap to gap approach that is going to grow more power as he matures as a hitter. He was also very athletic at first base and will be an asset defensively at that position.

Boone Shevey  C - 2021 - Springfield, MO
Jefferson College

Shevey stood out as a switch-hitter who had bat speed and the ability to drive the ball from both sides of the plate. The 5-10/190 athlete also has the tools and athleticism to stay behind the plate defensively at the next level while also being able to play some third base.

2022 Top Prospects

Brock Kobel  OF - 2022 - Lees Summit, MO
Central Missouri

Kobel is an outstanding natural athlete who ran a 6.82 and who is probably faster when he isn't in the middle of pre-season football practice, where he's the starting running back as a sophomore at a 6A high school. He'll be fun to see in another year or two with more repetitions and strength.

Sam McAleer  C - 2022 - Leawood, KS
Wichita State

McAleer is a projectable 6-2/175 receiver with good all around athleticism and a chance as a two-way player. He showed arm strength and quickness behind the plate, bat speed and power potential from the right side and was up to 82 mph on the mound.

Cooper Schneider  OF - 2022 - Cleburne, TX
Dodge City CC

Schneider is a very good all around athlete who has already been coached well both offensively and defensively and has strong present fundamentals. He's a very good bet to keep improving over his last two years in high school and beyond.
