Gold vs Navy Game Highlights

Brant Voth (2019 C, Murrieta, CA) pitched at 83-87 MPH with a quick arm action. The ball comes out clean and he competed in the zone. Voth showed feel for an 11/5 breaking ball at 76 MPH with shape and depth. Voth also swung the bat well with a well hit ball to left field.
Daniel Carpenter (2018 RHP, Moreno Valley, CA) pitched at 86-88 MPH with a loose arm action. The ball comes out clean and he projects for more velocity.
Daniel Johnson (2018 MIF, Foothill Ranch, CA) hammered a triple off the left field wall off an 86 MPH fastball. He barreled up the baseball consistently and made loud contact.
Chase Castor (2018 3B, Menifee, CA) showed a fluid stroke and barrel skills. He hit a sharp single up the middle for an RBI. He also pitched and topped at 83 MPH.
Jacob Villareal (2018 SS, Torrance, CA) hit a single with an RBI and showed some bat speed. He also stole a base and showed instincts on the base paths.
Travis Shaff-Brown (2018 LHP, Menifee, CA) pitched at 79-83 MPH with his fastball with running action to it. He threw 3 pitches for strikes and showed feel for his curveball. His curveball gets good 1/7 action to it with shape and depth.
Josh Glazewski (2018 RHP, Santa Maria, CA) pitched at 78-83 MPH with his fastball and located it well. He hides the ball well kept his fastball down in the zone.
Jared Schatz (2018 OF, Agoura Hills, CA) swung the bat well collecting 2 hits on the day. He also showed his speed by stealing 3 bases.
Brendan Henits (2018 OF, North Vancouver, BC) hit a hard triple to left field with loud contact. He showed a pull side approach and some barrel feel.
Braden Winget (2018 1B, Draper, UT) hit a hard double down the left field line with loud contact.

Jacob Blanchet (2018 SS, Irvine, CA) Blanchet utilized a direct path to contact paired with an uphill barrel plane that created good leverage to the middle of the field. The 2018 grad stayed balanced throughout his round, consistently driving the baseball to each gap.
Christopher Lopez (2018 OF, Santa Ana, CA) The Santa Aca native created good linear shift into contact with his lower half that produced good bat speed and strength at contact. Lopez flashed solid control of the barrel throughout the hitting zone that created hard line drive contact to all fields.
Nick Andrakin (2018 C, Petaluma, CA) Swung with intent on a loose path to contact. The primary catcher creates good separation and lift at contact that produced very loud, sharp carry off the barrel to the gaps.
Daniel Johnson (2018 MIF, Foothill Ranch, CA) Showed the ability to aggressive turn barrel head to contact and generate very loud, hard contact off the barrel to the pull side gap. Johnson shows a good combination of raw bat speed and barrel control while at the plate.
Jacob Villareal (2018 SS, Torrance, CA) Utilized a high contact, mid field approach that produced consistent line drive contact off the barrel. The 2018 grad stays behind contact very well allowing to create some leverage through extension when working between the gaps.
Chase Castor (2018 3B, Menifee, CA) Castor looked to drive the baseball with intent while employing an uphill barrel plane through extension. When on time, the 2018 third baseman the strength and bat speed to drive the baseball through each gap with ease.
Daniel Crasnick (2018 C, Los Angeles, CA) Looked to work to contact out front while creating lift through the hitting zone. Crasnick showed the hand speed to turn the barrel to pitches located inner half and drive them with authority.
Braden Winget (2018 1B, Draper, UT) Showed quick hands through the hitting zone with a naturally leveraged barrel plane to finish. Utilized a mid-field to pull side approach while creating good carry off the barrel when squared.

Eric Shinjo (2018 RHP, Bellevue, WA) pitched at 80-82 MPH with good running action on his fastball. He worked both sides of the plate well and threw a curve ball with 12/6 shape. He showed feel for his curve ball and threw it for strikes.
Jack Hodgins (2018 RHP, Simi Valley, CA) pitched at 80-85 MPH with a balanced delivery. He got a lot of downward tilt on his fastball with heavy action on it. He showed a deceptive arm action on his 11/5 curveball and change up.
Nick Andrakin (2018 C, Petaluma, CA) pitched at 81-85 MPH and threw exclusively from the stretch. He got heavy downhill action on his fastball from a high arm slot. He also threw a curve ball with 11/5 action and was sharp when he stayed on top of it. He also swung the bat well and the ball jumps off his bat when he squares it up.

Logan Whitesides (2018 MIF, Rancho Santa Fe, CA) made good barrel contact consistently and made loud contact. He collected 3 hits in the game and had a line drive approach.
Chase Castor (2018 3B, Menifee, CA) made contact to all fields and collected 2 hits on the day. He made consistent barrel contact and showed a good approach at the plate.
Daniel Crasnick (2018 C, Los Angeles, CA) collected 3 hits on the day and made lots of hard contact. He hit a deep triple to left center field that one hopped the fence and the ball jumped off his bat. Crasnick showed feel for the barrel and showed bat speed.
Jonathan Fuentes (2018 RHP, Norwalk, CA) also swung the bat well making hard contact. He hit a hard double to left field and showed a quick bat with pull side pop.
Brant Voth (2019 C, Murrieta, CA) collected 2 hits on the day and showed good all tools all around. He threw a couple runners out from behind the plate and showed good arm strength. He showed good bat speed and hitting tools.
