Early lead not enough for Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1, drop 4-3 decision to MVP Elite Squad in the Championship game. Luis Tuero went perfect today at the plate today with going 2-2. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning. Colton Olasin (Pembroke pines, FL 2019) also had good day at the plate today. Olasin went 1-3 for the day and had two RBIs. Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 had some hitters today too. Aaron Maggard (Paris, Paris, KY 2018) went 1-3 for the day and scored one run. Austin Blake (Lafayette, Lexington, KY 2019) went 1-3 for the day and scored one run. Mathew Guilfoil (Tates Creek, Lexington, KY 2018) went 1-1 for the day and had one RBI.

Colton Olasin got the win today for MVP Elite Squad because of his eight strikeouts. MVP Elite Squad's ace pitcher only gave up two hits over 4 2/3 shutout innings. Mathew Guifoil couldn't get it done on the mound today for the Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 as he took the loss. He tossed two innings worth while walking one, struck out none, and allowed two runs. Guifoil fastball range for the day was 72-75 mph. Olasin fastball range for the day was 72-76 mph.

Kentucky Baseball beats Hardknox O's.

Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 best the Hardknox Orioles in shootout, 10-8 victory. The teams had a total of seventeen hits, including six extra base hits in the game. Austin Blake (Lafayette, Lexington, KY 2019) racked up three RBIs on two hits for Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe one. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning. Jared Gadd (Paul Laurnence Dunbar, Lexington, KY 2019) and Jackson Webb (Elizabethtown, Elizabethtown, KY 2019) also had a good day at the plate. Gadd went 1-2 for the day with scoring one and had two RBIs. Webb went 1-3 for the day and had three RBIs. Hardknox Orioles had a couple good hitters today too. Logan Smith (Union Grove, McDonough, GA 2019) went 1-3 for the day and scored one run. Dalton Thomas (Ola, McDonough, GA 2019) went 1-4 for the day and had two RBIs. Owen Marchant (Strong Rock Christian School, McDonough, GA 2019) went 1-3 for the day with scoring one and had one RBI.

Jared Gadd got the win today for Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe one. He only allowed two runs over two innings worth with striking out none, walked three and gave up one hit. Dalton Thomas took the loss for the day for the Hardknox Orioles. He lasted only 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs. Kentucky's closer Alex Atkins (North Oldham, Prospect, KY 2019) came in put away the final nine outs to record the save.

MVP Elite Squad beat S3 Hustlers.

MVP Elite Squad drubs S3 Hustlers, 10-2 victory in the semifinals. MVP Elite Squad scored five runs in the third to help seal the deal. Chase Adkison (Pembroke pines, FL 2019) reached base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning. Luis Tuero was also hot at the plate today. Tuero went 3-4 for the day and had one RBI. S3 Hustlers had a couple of good hitters today. Mike Jordan Rodriguez (Corpus Chriti Moody, Corpus Christi, TX 2020) went 1-2 for the day and had one RBI. Wade Elliott (Midland, Midland, TX 2019) went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. MVP Elite Squad as a team today had nine hits with ten runs for the offense.

Yordani Carmona's (Pembroke pines, FL 2019) nine strikeouts were enough to help hold off MVP Elite Squad past S3 Hustlers. He only allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over five innings. Wade Elliot couldn't get it done on the hill today as he took the loss. He lasted about two innings worth while walking two, struck out two, and allowed one run. Elliott fastball range for the day was 74-78 mph. Carmona fastball range for the day was 80-83 mph.

MVP Squad Busts Out in 10-Run, 15-Hit Attack

The MVP Elite Squad went on a tear offensively as their 15 hits put up 10 runs against the North Florida Rivercats in a 10-3 win. After the Rivercats scored their three runs in the top of the sixth, MVP Elite responded with four runs of their own in the bottom half.

Tyler Kehoe (2019, Gloucester Catholic, PA) had a monstrous game, going 4 for 4 with a run and two runs batted in. Yordani Carmona (2019, FL) went 2 for 4 with a triple and three runs batted in. Gavin Casas (2018, Charles W Flanagan, FL) smashed two doubles and added a run. Michael Sagaro (2020, FL) had a solid 2 for 2 day with a run plated and a run scored.

MVP Elite's Gavin Casas hit a couple of doubles but he also picked up the win too. He threw six innings, giving up three runs on five hits and one walk. He struck out a total of four hitters. Sebastian Moore (2020, FL) topped out at 73 mph throwing his scoreless inning of relief.

Sebastion Rothman (2019, Ponte Vedra, FL) led all Rivercats with two hits. Bryce Johnson (2019, Atlantic Coast, FL) went 1 for 3 with a triple, two RBIs, and a run scored. 


Orioles Pound Out 10 Hits in 7-4 Victory

The Hardknox Orioles scored six runs in the first three innings and went on to win it 7-4 over the Knights Baseball 13U National team. The Knights made a run at the end, scoring four runs in the seventh, but it wasn't enough.

The Orioles had five pitchers take the mound in the victory. Winning pitcher Dalton Thomas (2019, Ola, GA) gave up no runs and only one hit over four innings. He also walked two and struck out one. Steven Brown (2018, Union Grove, GA) chipped in with two scoreless innings of his own. Brown didn't give up any hits, walked two, and struck out two. Logan Smith (2019, Union Grove, GA) only recorded one out, but his fastball ranged from 72-75 mph.

Dalton Thomas wasn't only feeling it on the mound, but at the plate too. He went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base. Brayden Eidson (2019, Strong Rock Christian School, GA) went 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run. Mick Moody (2019, Spalding, GA) went 1 for 2 and scored two runs. Wesley Maxey's (2018, Woodward Academy, GA) RBI triple in the fifth brought the score to 7-0 at the time.

The Knights got offensive contributions from several players in their lineup. Christian Dixon (2018, Ensworth, TN) went 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored. Gage Young (2019, Tullahoma, TN) went 1 for 3 with a run scored and a run batted in. Luke Giles (2019, Franklin, TN) had a hit and an RBI in this contest too.

Giles also contributed on the mound where he threw two scoreless innings, giving up no hits and no walks. He struck out one batter.

McGill Blanks SPX Baseball in 4-0 Win

The Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 defeated SPX Baseball 4-0 as they got on the board in the first inning and didn't look back.

Winning pitcher Benton McGill (2018, Nelson County, KY) dominated as he threw a complete game two-hitter. Over his seven innings of work, he gave up one walk and struck out seven hitters. He topped out at 74 mph. 

Charles Braxton Cottongame (2018, Perry County Central, KY) hit the first run of the ballgame in, which would be the winning run, on his RBI triple to center in the first. Cottongame would later score in the inning. Seth Williams (2020, Paintsville, KY) had a nice 2 for 3 day with a run scored and an RBI.  Austin Blake (2019, Lafayette, KY) had a two-hit game. Cole Ginnan (2019, Lexington Catholic, KY) went 1 for 2 with a run scored on the day.

Daniel Batcher (2019, East Paulding, GA) threw four innings of two-run ball, giving up five hits. He didn't walk a single batter and had four strikeouts. Christian Swanner (2019, Villa Rica, GA) threw a scoreless and hitless inning for SPX Baseball.

Bryce Lawrence (2019, East Paulding, GA) and Daniel Batcher both picked up a hit in the game. Lawrence ripped a triple in the fourth.

Hustlers Advance With 8-4 Win

The S3 Hustlers used a five-run third inning to take control of the game and roll to an 8-4 win over the Iron Pigs to advance into the semifinals. The Hustlers backed up their ten team hits with seven team stolen bases to dominate offensively. Tyler Wade (2019, Midland HS, TX) and Tyler Sanchez-Lozan (2019, Corpus Christi Moody HS) led the Hustlers' offense with 2-3 games at the plate with Wade picking up an RBI, a run scored, two stolen bases and two walks while Sanchez-Lozan added an RBI, two runs scored, a stolen base and a walk. The Iron Pigs got their offensive spark from Kyle Machado (2019, Port Charlotte HS, FL) and his 2-3 game at the plate with an RBI.

Hambleton Oliver (2019, Calallen HS, TX) picked up the win for the Hustlers for his five and a third innings on the mound Oliver allowed five hits and four runs, three earned, while walking two and striking out none with a fastball averaging 72 mph and topping out at 74 mph. 

Giovanni Digiacomo (2018, Naples HS, FL) is credited with the loss for the Iron Pigs after two and a third innings of relief. Digiacomo allowed five hits and six runs, five earned, while walking four and striking out four with a fastball averaging 71 mph and topping out at 74 mph. 

Kentucky Baseball Club Takes 11-4 Win

Kentucky Baseball Club- Blythe 2 wasted little time getting their offense going, dropping three runs in the first inning and five in the second to cruise to an 11-4 win over the Yankees. Both teams struggled to play clean with Kentucky picking up five and the Yankees four. Five Blythe players registered multi-hit games and were led by Nathan Wilson (2018, Paul Laurence Dunbar HS, KY) and Josh Graves (2018, Nelson County HS, KY). Wilson went 2-4 in the batter's box and picked up two RBIs and two runs scored on his two doubles with Graves adding a 2-3 game with three runs scored, an RBI and a triple. Yeager Dance (2019, Parkview HS, GA) did his best to spark the Yankee offense with a 1-3 game at the plate, a run scored and his team's only RBI.

Alex Binder (2019, North Laurel HS, KY) took the win for the Kentucky Baseball Club for his two innings of relief work on the mound. Binder allowed one hit and two runs, both unearned, while walking one and striking out none with a fastball averaging 60 mph and topping out at 64 mph. 

Jubriel Felix (2019, Dacula HS, GA) is credited with the loss for the Yankees for his four innings on the mound. Felix allowed 11 hits and 11 runs, five earned, while walking two and striking two while tossing 78 fastballs with an average of 60 mph and topping out at 69 mph. 

S3 Hustlers beat East Cobb Black Knights.

Early lead gives S3 Hustlers easy victory over East Cobb Black Knights, 8-0 victory. S3 Hustlers jumped out to an early lead for the East Cobb Knights to help them seal the deal. Wade Elliott (Midland, Midland, TX 2019) was solid at the plate for S3 Hustlers. Wade went 1-3 for the day and scored three runs. He singled in the third inning. Harrison Hall (Chattahooche, Alpharetta, GA 2018) and Kason Hebert (Hillgrove, Powder Springs, GA 2018) were two lone hitters today for the East Cobb Black Knights. Hall went 1-2 for the day and Hebert went 2-2 for the day.

Gavin Scaggs (Kennesaw Mountain, Kennesaw, GA 2019) for the East Cobb Black Knights lasted only two innings on the mound before he left the game. Gavin gave up two hits and four runs. Tyler Wade (Midland, Midland, TX 2019) got the win today for the S3 Hustlers. Wade tossed five innings worth while giving up five hits, walking one and striking out three for the day.

MVP Elite Squad beat Team DeMarini.

Early lead gives MVP Elite Squad easy victory over Team DeMarini NRG, 14-5 victory. MVP Elite Squad jumped out to an early lead with ten runs on Team DeMarini NRG in the first three innings to seal the deal. Jake Holland (Miami Lakes, FL 2019) racked up three RBIs on two hits for MVP Elite Squad. Robert Daniels (Brookwood, Lawrenceville, GA 2019) did his best to start the offense for the Team DeMarini NRG. Daniels reach base three times with scoring one run and had two RBIs. He singled in the second inning.

Adam Hill (Brookwood, Lilburn, GA 2018) had a short outing for the Team DeMarini NRG. He only lasted two innings on the mound while giving up four hits and runs before he left the game. Tyler Kehoe (Gloucester, Catholic, Prospect Park, PA 2019) was the other pitcher today for the MVP Elite Squad. Kehoe tossed four innings worth while giving up two hits, four runs, five walks and striking out six.

Knights Baseball 13U beats Canes.

Dual-threat carries Knights Baseball 13U American past Georgia Canes 14-2 victory. Colson Leonard (Pope John Paul II, Nashville, TN 2019) had an impressive two-way performance for the Knights. Colson racked up two RBIs on three hits for Knights Baseball 13U American. He singled in the first and second innings. Georgia Canes Mac Bolton (Northview, Johns Creek, GA 2019) was the lone stud hitter today. Bolton went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Knights as a team today had total of seven hits with fourteen runs.

Colson looked sharp on the bump today. Leonard just gave up one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his two innings of work. Adam Hagemeyer (Mount Juliet, Nashville, TN 2019) got the win today for the Knights. He tossed two innings and allowed two runs. Cooper Davidson (South Forsyth, Alpharetta, GA 2018) got the lose today for the Canes. Davidson lasted about one-third of an inning with walking three, struck out one and allowed five runs.

Iron Pigs beat North Florida Rivercats.

Iron Pigs hang on against North Florida Rivercats, 4-3 victory. North Florida Rivercats wasn't able to come back from the big hole against the Pigs. Aaron Martin (Port Charlotte, Port Charlotte, FL 2019) got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the first and fourth innings. Martin went 2-2 for the day and scored one run. Sebastion Rothman (Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 2019) for the North Florida Rivercats went 1-2 for the day with scoring one run and had one RBI. Also Corey McCormick (Oakleaf, Jacksonville, FL 2019) went 1-2 for the day with one RBI.

There was a lot of pitching used today. Sebastion Rothman was the lone ace for the North Florida Rivercats. Rothman tossed 1.1 innings while giving up three hits, three runs and two walks. Trey Cruz (Port Charlotte, Port Charlotte, FL 2019) was other pitcher today for Iron Pigs. Cruz tossed 3.2 innings while giving up one hit, one run, five walks and struck out one for the day.

Kentucky Baseball shuts out Canes 2-0

Pitching dominated the entire contest between Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 and Georgia Canes, as there were only five hits all game combined with Kentucky coming out on top 2-0. 

Charles Braxton Cottongame (2018, Hazard, KY) got the start for Kentucky, throwing his fastball up to 77 mph with a 72 mph change up tossed in. The 6'1 145 pound southpaw's heater has a natural cut to it and sat 73-76 mph from a 3/4 arm angle. Drew Kindy (2018, Lexington, KY) walked away with the win, throwing 3.2 scoreless innings while dancing around a hit and four walks, striking out one with a wild pitch. The slight 5'5 righty wasn't overpowering, throwing his fastball 63-65 mph with a 57-58 mph curve thrown in. 

At the plate, Benton McGill (2018, Bloomfield, KY), Austin Blake (2019, Lexington, KY), and Cottongame were the only ones to get a hit, all three singling with McGill and Blake coming around to score the game's only two runs. Blake also stole a base and Alex Atkins (2019, Prospect, KY) was credited with the only RBI with a sac fly in the second inning.

For the Georgia Canes, David Kramer (2019, Milton, GA) and Lance Mitchell (2019, Johns Creek, GA) picked up their two hits, both singles as well. Kramer also walked twice in the game, reaching base in all three plate appearances.

Mason Kearny (2019, Marietta, GA) struck out three in three innings, allowing one hit and one unearned run. The 5'7 righty peaked at 78 mph with his fastball, sitting 72-76 mph from a 3/4 arm angle and projectable stuff. He stays tall on his backside in his delivery, using his lower half well with good hip rotation. His arm works well, has good command, and is a bulldog on the mound with presence and a competitive streak.

Elite Squad Pitching Pounds Strikes in 1-0 Victory

(Alec Dopp) - MVP Elite Squad ran its record to 2-0-0 at the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational with a 1-0 victory over Georgia Jackets 13u at LakePoint Field 14. Angel Diaz (2018, Pemboke Pines, FL) scored the go-ahead run from second base in the bottom of the sixth inning, giving Elite Squad the one-run margin it eventually went on to defeat Georgia by Wednesday afternoon.

Diaz did more than simply score the game's only run, however. He also went 2-for-2 from the plate, with both of his base knocks coming off doubles -- one a line-drive bullet to the left field corner, the other a fly ball to center field. Elite Squad leadoff hitter Luis Tuero (2019, Pempoke Pines, FL) drew a game-high two walks and went 1-for-1 from the plate in the contest.

Georgia Jackets 13u starting pitcher Mason Keeney (2018, Milton HS, GA) drew a fair amount of softly hit balls in play (66.7% weak contact rate) over his 5.1 innings of work, but also administered three walks and allowed four hits to MVP Elite Squad's lineup. Though he showed good control of his 68-70 MPH fastball -- 65.6% strike rate with the pitch -- he struggled to command his 16 offspeed offerings, one of which included a 60-65 MPH curveball that he managed just a 26.7% strike rate with.

Big 5th inning helps Elite to win

Team Elite 13u defeated the 5 Star Academy 15-7 thanks in part to a huge offensive showing in the 5th inning where they scored 11 runs.  The bats of Davis, Johnson and Rlzand came up huge for Elite as they combined for 7 hits and 6 RBI.  Elite leadoff hitter, Davis, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Johnson showed a linedrive approach and flashed power potential as he went 3-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 1 stolen base he also made an appearance on the mound peaking at 75 mph on his fastball.  Rlzand continued the strong offensive performance going 1-3 but managed to knock in 3 runs. 

For 5 Star Academy, Zach Swan (2019, Alexandria HS, AL) and Mitch Welch (2020, Jacksonville Christian Academy HS, AL) showed well with their performances at the plate.  Swan went 1-2 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base while Welch went 0-1 but managed to score 1 run and have 2 RBI. 

Wolf's Cut Fastball Keys 3-2 NRG Victory

(Alec Dopp) - Scoring all three of its runs in the top of the first two innings Wednesday afternoon, Team DeMarini provided its pitching staff with a sizable-enough lead late in the ballgame to come away with a 3-2 victory at the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational over East Cobb Black Knights.Two runs scored by the Knights in the bottom of the seventh threatened the win, but Robert Daniels (2019, Brookwood HS, GA) recorded the final two outs for Team Demarini, who improved to 1-1-0 in tournament play with the win.

Right-hander William Wolf (2019, George Walton Academy HS, GA) made his first start of the tournament for Demarini, logging a total of 6.1 innings in which he conceded two earned runs, five hits and two walks. Each of his 94 pitches in the outings were fastballs (68-69, 71 MPH max), but the offering's cutting action coupled with his ability to pound the zone (69.1% strike rate) and induce swings and misses (16% swinging strike rate) with it helped him hold East Cobb in check.

Though neither team recorded an extra-base hit in the game, Gavin Scaggs (2019, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) led East Cobb with two hits (both singles) in three at bats, to go with a run scored. Demarini's Allen Brown (2019, Loganville Christian Academy HS, GA) followed suit with a 2-for-3 (both hits singles) performance at the dish (to go with a stolen base), while Ayden Middlebrooks (2019, George Walton Academy HS, GA) and Jacob Boyd (2019, Loganville HS, GA) chipped in with one stolen base a piece in the game.

Offense prevails Orioles to win

Hardknox Orioles defeated the Knights Baseball 13u American by a score of 10-0.  Leadoff hitter, Luke Welborn (2019, Stron Rock Christian School HS, GA), helped spark the offense going 2-2 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI on the day.  Dalton Thomas (2019, Ola HS, GA) also hit well going 1-2 with 1 triple, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Continuing the strong offensive day was Owen Marchant (2019, Stron Rock Christian School HS, GA) who went 1-1 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk. 

Pitching for the Orioles was Gord Andrew (2019, Stron Rock Christian School HS, GA) and Joshua Newton (2019, Stron Rock Christian School HS, GA) who combined to throw a shutout on the day.  Andrew tossed 3 innings peaking at 69 mph on his fastball while Newton threw 2 innings allowing 3 hits and struck out 2 using primarily a 67 mph fastball. 

For the Knights, Marcus Watson (2018, Undecided, TN) and Jett Jackson (2019, Dickson County HS, TN) both showed well and collected 2 hits on the day.

Four run sixth lifts S3 Hustlers to 5-1 Win

The S3 Hustlers offense came alive in the top of the fourth inning, scoring four runs, to run away with and go on to win 5-1 over Knights Baseball 13U National.

Wade Elliott (2019, Midland, TX) led the way on the offensive end for S3, going 2-2 at the plate with two runs scored.  Jacob Garza (2020, King, TX) contributed by going 1-3 with a double and three RBIs.  George Villafranca (2018, Los Fresnos, TX) also helped out with a triple in the game.  Elliott also made an appearance on the mound pitching 0.2 innings, displaying a fastball that topped out at 76 mph.  Jon Barrera (2019, King, TX) pitched two innings of work, striking out three, and he too had an impressive fastball that topped out at 77 mph.

For the Knights, Joshua McGowan (2019, Oakland, TN) went 1-2 at the plate with one run scored.  Garrett Schultz (2019, Ensworth, TN) pitched four innings of work on the mound, and had a fastball that peaked at 75 mph, while also mixing in a few curveballs and a changeup to compliment as his off-speed pitches.


Chain Rip Tide Rebels edge Yankees 1-0

The Chain Rip Tide Rebels scored one run in the bottom of the first inning that seemed to be the defining factor in the game as they edged by the Yankees 1-0.

James Maudlin (2019, Wayne County, GA) finished the game 2-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.  Blake King (2019, Houston County, GA) also finished 2-3 at the plate with a triple.  Ashton Newell () went 1-2 with a double.  Hayden Walsh (2019, Bluffton, SC) pitched five innings for the Rip Tide, striking out two, and displayed a fastball that topped out at 75 mph, while mixing in a handful of curveballs as well.

For the Yankees, Yeager Dance (2019, Parkview, GA) pitched four innings of work, striking out four, and showed off a fastball that averaged 70-72 mph and topped out at 75 mph.


North Florida beat Kentucky.

Brock Sinaly makes 2 runs hold up for North Florida Rivercats in 2-1 win over Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2. Kentcuky Baseball Club - Blythe two scored one run in the fifth on. Despite its efforts, Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe two couldn't make the comeback happen. Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2 had a couple good hitters for the day. Griffin Blankenship (Wooford, County, Versailles, KY 2019) went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Trace Willhoite (Scott County, Georgetown, KY 2019) went 1-2 for the day. North Florida Rivercats had a one lone hitter today. DJ Clea (Oakleaf, Orange Park, FL 2020) went 1-2 for the day with one RBI and had one walk.

Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2 Micah Duncan (Oakleaf, Orange Park, FL 2019) started the game pretty strong. Duncan tossed four innings with one hit, two runs, six walks and striking out four. Brock Sinaly (Lafayette, Lexington, KY 2020) held his own today on the mound as he got the win for his team. He pitched six strong innings while only giving up five hits, one run, and striking out three.

Iron Pigs beat SPX Baseball.

Iron Pigs survives SPX Baseball rally, escapes with 3-2 victory. SPX Baseball had trouble trying to get over the hump after falling behind by three runs in the fifth inning. Iron Pigs had a couple good hitters today. Giovanni Digiacomo (Naples, Naples, FL 2018) went 1-3 for the day and scored one run. Iron Pigs relied on Tom Wilander (Canterbury, Fort Myers, FL 2018) today on the mound as he took the win. Tom pitched seven innings, allowed two earned runs, five hits, one walk while striking out five. Adam Gregory II today was charged with the loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

Kentucky Scores 7 runs on 2 hits for the Win

Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 produced only two hits the entire ballgame, but with some help from errors they went on to beat 5 Star Academy 7-5. The big innings for Kentucky were their 3-run second and 4-run third innings.

Jackson Webb (2019, Elizabethtown, KY) went 1 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI for Kentucky. Charles Braxton Cottongame (2018, Perry County Central, KY) also had a 1 for 2 day, scoring two runs and chipping in with an RBI triple.

Winning pitcher Matthew Guilfoil (2018, Tates Creek, KY) threw 3.2 innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on only two hits. He walked five along with his five strikeouts. Guilfoil's fastball sat 71-75 mph and peaked at 77 mph.

Noah Primm (2019, Alexandria, AL) led all hitters with his 2 for 3 day which included a double and scoring two runs for 5 Star Academy. Dawson Strickland (2019, Munford, AL) went 1 for 2 with an RBI single in the fifth that brought them to a three run deficit.

Carson Comer (2019, Munford, AL) started the ballgame for 5 Star Academy, throwing 3.2 innings. He gave up four runs (zero earned) on two hits and three walks. His quick arm action produced eight strikeouts. Jarin Turner (2019, Oxford, AL) threw 1.1 innings and gave up two earned runs. His fastball sat 74-78 mph and he topped out at 80 mph.

Ryan Harley helps Chain Rip Tide Rebels down Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2 6-2 victory. Ryan Harley (Effingham County, Rincon, GA 2019) went 1-2 for the day, three run and two walks. Blake King (Houston, County, Warner, Robins, GA 2019) went 2-4 and had two RBIs. Win Johns (The Savannah County Dary, Savannah, GA 2019) went 2-2 for the day and scored one run. Hayden Walsh (Bluffton, Bluffton, SC 2019)went 1-2 for the day, scored one run and had one RBI. Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2 had a couple of good hitters today. Kyle Harbison (Scott County, Georgetown, KY 2019) went 1-1 for the day with one hit and had one RBI. Alex Binder (North Laurel, London, KY 2019) went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Griffin Blankership (Woodford County, Versailles, KY 2019) went 2-3 for the day and had one RBI.

Blake King got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings. Also he struck out five, walked three and surrendered six hits. Jordan Fox (Scott County, Georgetown, KY 2019) was on the wrong side of the decision today with a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

SPX Baseball defeats the Yankees 3-1

SPX Baseball made the most of just four hits in the game as they went on to defeat the Yankees 3-1.  The Yankees tried to make a push with a late run in the top of the seventh inning with scoring its one run but fell short in the end.

Bryce Lawrence (2019, East Paulding, GA) sparked the SPX offense by going 1-2 at the plate with a triple and a run scored.  Both Bret Adkins (2019, South Paulding, GA) and Andrew Walker (2019, Chapel Hill, GA) contributed at the offensive end as well with a double a piece.  Adkins also had an RBI and Walker had one run scored in the game as well.  On the mound, Luke Lamar (2018, South Paulding, GA) pitched a complete game, striking out five, and displayed a fastball that averaged 64-66/66 mph while also mixing in a number of curveballs.

For the Yankees, Phillip Ridgeway (2019, Collins Hill, GA) pitched a complete six innings, striking out four, and he had a fastball that topped out at 64 mph.  At the plate, Mathew Yarbray (2019, Loganville, GA) went 2-2 in the game.  Thomas Hairston (2019, Archer, GA) went 1-3 with a run scored.


Second and fourth inning bursts lift Orioles

The Hardknox Orioles burst for five runs in the bottom of the second and four more runs in the bottom of the fourth the come away with a 9-1 victory over Team Elite 13U that ended in a mercy rule after the fifth inning.

Mick Moody (2019, Spalding, GA) led the way for the Oriole offense going 2-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.  Coleman Crow (2019, Pike County, GA) went 2-2 with one RBI and two runs score.  Wesley Maxey (2018, Woodward Academy, GA) also had a double of his own in the contest.  Brayden Eidson (2019, Strong Rock Christian School, GA) pitched a complete-game for the Orioles, striking out three and only giving up two walks.  He displayed a fastball that averaged 64-67/69 mph, and also mixed in a handful of curveballs.

For Team Elite 13U, Leadoff hitter, Davis, went 1-2 at the plate.  Haugabook went 1-1 in the game as well.  Blume made an appearance on the mound, throwing 1.2 innings and showed a fastball that topped out at 70 mph, while also mixing in some off-speed with a few curveballs and a few sliders.


Elite Squad late runs help them win

MVP Elite Squad plated three in the sixth and went on to beat East Cobb Black Knights. Colton Olasin (2019, P Pines, FL) had their only hit in the win. Yordani Camona (2019, P Pines, FL) started and lasted 2 2/3 innings.  He fanned eight while allowing just one walk. His fastball was impressive as he was in the mid 80's and touched 84 mph.

John Moses (2019, Union City, GA) pitched 5 2/3 innings for the Knights.  He fanned three and gave up a hit. His fastball was between 72-76 mph and touched 77 mph. Carter Guarino (2019, North Cobb Christian, GA) had a triple in the loss.

Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 cruises past Team Elite 13U 9-2 victory. Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 1 had a couple of good hitters even though the team overall had three hits. Charles Braxton Cottongame (Perry Lauerence Dunbar, Lexington, KY 2019) went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Jackson Webb (Elizabethtown, Elizabethtown, KY 2019) went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Team Elite 13U had some good hitters today too. Johnson went 1-1 for the day. Clark went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Davis went 1-1 for the day. Rlzand went 1-1 for the day and had one RBI.

Pitching was there even though there was a lot of pitchers used today. Aaron Maggard (Paris, Paris, KY 2018) was the ace today for his team as he pitched 4.1 innings worth while giving up six hits, two runs, two walks striking out one. Davis for the Team Elite 13U started the game for three innings. He only allowed one hit, four runs, two walks and striking out two. H. Johnson then came in as relief. He pitched two innings worth while giving up two hits, three runs, two walks, and striking out two.

Knights Baseball 13U American holds on for 7-5 win

Knights Baseball 13U American got out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning but needed three late runs to survive a comeback from 5 Star Academy. Knights Baseball won 7-5 in its first game of the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational. Marcus Watson (2018, Undecided, TN) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two doubles and a walk for Knights Baseball, while Jett Jackson (2019, Dickson County, TN) went 1-for-2 with three RBIs, a stolen base and two walks. Trey Holt (2019, Pope John Paul II, TN) went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and three runs scored, while Colson Leonard (2019, Pope John Paul II, TN) went 2-for-4 with a walk.

Cameron Hansen (2019, Pope John Paul II, TN) started on the mound for Knights Baseball and went three innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks while striking out three. His fastball averaged 68 MPH while occasionally touching 70.

Cameron Irvin (2019, Munford, AL) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for 5 Star Academy, and Carson Comer (2019, Munford, AL) went 1-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk. Jarin Turner (2019, Oxford, AL) went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, as well.

Geogia Jackets 13U walks off to 4-3 win

The Georgia Jackets walked off in the seventh inning to complete their comeback in a 4-3 win over the S3 Hustlers Monday at the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational. Michael Allegri (2019, Blessed Trinity Catholic, GA) played hero as he drove in Michael Wein (2018, Cambridge, GA) to win the game for the Jackets in the seventh. Allegri also drew two walks and scored a run. Gavin Grubbs (2019, Cambridge, GA), like Allegri, went 1-for-1 with an RBI. Bubba Dempsey (2018, Cherokee, GA) went 2-for-3.

Grubbs started on the mound for Georgia, going 2.2 scoreless innings and giving up one hit and two walks while striking out one. His average fastball went 66 MPH with a high of 73 MPH. Dempsey and Allegri combined to pitch the final 4.1 innings. Dempsey gave up three unearned runs.

Juan Perez (2018, Ray, TX) went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, two RBIs and one run scored for the Hustlers. He also pitched the final two innings without giving up a run. Perez showed control of both sides of the plate with a loose arm action, a good follow through and an explosive fastball, which averaged 71 MPH. The Hustlers' other two pitchers, Hambleton Oliver (2019, Calallen, TX) and Tyler Sanchez-Lozano (2019, Corpus Christi Moody, TX), also averaged fastball velocities in the low 70s.


Iron Pigs 13U score six unanswered runs in 6-3 win

The Iron Pigs 13U trailed 3-0 until the third inning, when they started a streak of two runs in three straight innings to take a 6-3 lead over the Yankees 13U east cobb. 6-3 would be the final score of the teams' first game in the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational on Monday. The Iron Pigs gave up two hits, including just one in a three-run first inning for the Yankees. Kyle Machado (2019, Port Charlotte, FL) started for the Iron Pigs and gave up three unearned runs on two walks with two strikeouts. Joshua Kinker (2019, Venice Senior, FL) pitched the final four innings, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts.

Giovanni Digiacomo (2019, Naples, FL) went 1-for-4 for the Iron Pigs with two RBIs and a run scored. Kevin Conway (2019, Port Charlotte, FL)) went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a double and and a walk, and Trey Koza (2019, Ida Baker, FL) went 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored.

Drew DeMasi (2019, Pakrview, GA) struck the lone hit in the first inning for the Yankees, plating a pair. He also scored a run.

The Hardknox Orioles fend off Georgia Canes's late push, hold 4-3. Georgia Canes had a couple good hitters today in the game. Mac Bolton (Northview, Johns Creek, GA 2019) went 2-3 for the day and had three RBIs. Mason Kearney (Lassiter, Marietta, GA 2019) went 2-2 for the day and had one hit. Brett Wissell (Sequoyah, Woodstock, GA 2019) went 1-3 for the day. Hardknox Orioles had some good hitters today too. Mick Moody (Spalding, Williamson, GA 2019) went 1-3 for the day and scored one run. Dalton Thomas (Ola, McDonough, GA 2019) went 1-3 for the day. Owen Marchant (Strong Rock Christian School, McDonough, GA 2018) went 2-2 for the day and had one RBI. Evan Etheridge (Ola, McDonough, GA 2019) went 1-2 for the day and had one RBI.

Pitching was pretty solid for the day. Brett Wissell for the Georgia Canes pitched five innings worth while giving up four hits, four runs, three walks and one strikeouts. Noah Campbell (Strong Rock Christian School, McDonough, GA 2018) for the Hardknox Orioles pitched five innings worth while giving up three hits, two runs, four walks and striking out five. Both pitchers did fine today for the innings they put in. Today was more of a hitting day.

Knights Baseball 13U National grabs 6-4 win late

Knights Baseball 13U National scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to escape with a 6-4 win over Team DeMarini NRG Monday at the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational. Luke Giles (2019, Franklin, TN) put Knights Baseball up 5-4 in the seventh after a wild pitch from Hunter Lane (2019, Morgan Country, GA). Three batters later, Joshua McGowan (2019, Oakland, TN) hit a double to drive in the sixth and final run for Knights Baseball. McGowan, who went 1-for-3, also closed the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Bricen Russell (2019, Gallatin Senior, TN) went 2-for-2 for Knights Baseball with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored. Race Marin (2019, Tullahoma, TN) went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Jacob Boyd (2019, Loganville, GA) hit a two-run double in a pinch-hitting role for Team DeMarini, and Lane went 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Lane pitched the final 5.2 innings, as well, giving up six runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts. Lane's fastball averaged 68 MPH with a high of 75 MPH.

North Florida Rivercats win handily, 7-2

The North Florida Rivercats controlled Monday's game versus the Chain Rip Tide Rebels and cruised to a 7-2 win in six innings during the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational. Will Shepherd (2019, The Bolles, FL) pitched a complete game for the Rivercats, giving up two earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three.

DJ Clea (2020, Oakleaf, FL) went 2-for-2 for North Florida with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored. Sebastion Rothman (2019, Pontre Vedra, FL) also drove in two runs on a 1-for-4 performance at the plate. Conner Aldrich (2019, Trinity Christian Academy, FL) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Hayden Walsh (2019, Bluffton, SC) went 3-for-3 for the Rebels with a run scored and a stolen base. Blake King (2019, Houston County, GA) went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

SPX Baseball cruises 8-0 in five innings

SPX Baseball scored in all five innings on Monday en route to an 8-0 win over Kentucky Baseball Club - Blythe 2 at the 2014 13u Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational. While SPX's offense was prolific, the pitching was arguably better. Christian Swanner (2019, Villa Rica HS, GA) started and went just one inning, but he struck all three batters he faced. Michael Stallings (2019, Mt. Paran Christian HS, GA) relieved Swanner and went the final four frames, giving up two hits and no walks while striking out five. Stallings also went 0-for-1 at the plate with a hit-by-pitch and two runs scored.

Andrew Walker (2019, Chapel Hill HS, GA) led SPX at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and one run scored. Bryce Lawrence (2019, East Paulding HS, GA) went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while Bred Adkins (2019, South Paulding HS, GA) and Daniel Batcher (2019, East Paulding HS, GA) each went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Kyle Harbison (2019, Scott County HS, KY) was one of the two Kentucky Baseball Club batters with a hit and the only one with an extra-base hit (a triple). Dylan Crook (2019, Tates Creek HS, KY) went 1-for-1 with a single.
