Jason Hursh’s journey to elite draft prospect status has been far from a simple one. He’s a commodity that’s been well known for quite some time now, but he’s had to overcome some obstacles to reach this point over the last three years. While he may not be the finished product that pitchers at the top of the class like Mark Appel are, he does boast some of the best raw stuff in the draft. And, to his credit, he’s regained that power arsenal after spending over a year on the shelf following Tommy John surgery in 2011.
