C Michael Cruz (2014, Pro Baseball Academy, Aguadilla, PR) announced his presence immediately with three home runs during batting practice. And he never took his foot off the gas, following up the best BP session of the showcase with a 1.81 pop in the C workout and then crushed the ball in four of his five trips to the plate during games. He was only rewarded for half of his well struck shots, but had a triple off the top of the wall in right field at City of Palms Stadium and a double to the warning track in right center at the Red Sox Player Development Complex.
