It was a total team effort for the Amsterdam Mohawks at the Perfect Game Collegiate League this summer.
From start to finish, the Mohawks were incredibly consistent with several key cogs leading the charge. The list of key contributors includes New Jersey Tech's Ed Charlton, Auburn's Rocky McCord and Kentucky's Taylor Martin and Chandler Shepherd, among others.
McCord and Shepherd were two of the league's top prospects this summer, while offensively at the PGCBL, Kansas State's Ross Kivett put together a fantastic summer, hitting .401 with 29 RBIs.
With fall workouts fast approaching, we take an inside look at some of the top performers at the PGCL.

INF Ross Kivett, Kansas State -- The talented infielder only hit .286 for the Wildcats in the spring, but really stepped up this summer with an impressive campaign. He batted .401 with 10 doubles, three triples and 29 RBIs. He also induced 22 walks on the summer. Kivett certainly is primed for a very solid 2013 campaign.
OF Ed Charlton, New Jersey Tech -- Charlton had a very consistent year of baseball at the plate. He finished the spring hitting .315 for NJIT. He was even better this summer, hitting .353 with six doubles, three triples, seven homers and 30 RBIs. Additionally, Charlton induced 16 walks this summer.
INF Jordan Enos, Holy Cross -- Enos finished the spring with a .305 batting average for the Crusaders. He also put together quite the impressive summer, hitting .339 with 15 doubles, two triples, a home run and 28 RBIs. Additionally, he finished the summer with 20 walks.
OF Chris Cruz, Cornell -- There's no doubt Cruz struggled in the spring, hitting just .258 on the season. However, he rose to the occasion this summer with a solid campaign. He led his summer team in hitting with a .319 average, 10 doubles, eight homers and 40 RBIs. He also had a .407 OBP and was 13-for-17 in stolen bases.
INF Chase Green, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville -- Green was one of several players who rose to the occasion this summer. He finished the spring with just a .254 batting average, but certainly improved. At the PGCBL, he batted .336 with nine doubles, two triples, three homers and 20 RBIs. He also had a very solid .421 OBP.
INF Joe Landi, Rhode Island -- Landi finished the spring with just a .250 batting average with the Rams, but stepped up at the PGCBL. He batted .329 with seven doubles, a triple, two homers and 35 RBIs. He also had a fantastic .425 OBP and was a sensational 31-for-32 in stolen bases.
INF Zac Bellinger, Virginia Commonwealth -- Bellinger had very little work for the Rams in the spring, but probably helped his case in a big way with a strong summer. He batted .317 with 16 doubles, three homers and 25 RBIs. He also slugged .493 and had an impressive .444 OBP.
OF Jeff Boehm, Kentucky -- Boehm hopes to become an even bigger player for the Wildcats in 2013. He put together a strong summer for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He batted .326 with 11 doubles, a home run and 21 RBIs. He also had a fantastic .414 OBP.
C Chase Griffin, Georgia Southern -- Griffin established himself as one of the premier hitters in the Southern Conference in the spring. He also had an impressive summer at the PGCBL. He batted .304 with 11 doubles, a triple, four homers and 34 RBIs. He also had a .393 OBP.
INF Mike Vigliaroio, Saint Louis -- Look for Vigliaroio to be a consistent contributor for the Billkens in 2013. This summer, he batted .316 with 13 doubles, three homers and 37 RBIs. He also was an excellent defender, finishing the summer with an outstanding .991 fielding percentage.
RHP Chandler Shepherd, Kentucky -- Shepherd had a respectable 2012 campaign for the Wildcats, finishing with a 3.83 ERA in over 50 innings of work. He had an even better summer. Shepherd appeared in eight games and had a 1.31 ERA in 55 innings of work. He also struck out 50 and walked 12, while teams hit him at a .154 clip.
RHP Rocky McCord, Auburn -- McCord looks to have a solid 2013 campaign for the Tigers after he established himself as a solid prospect this summer. He appeared in eight games (eight starts) and had a 1.71 ERA in 47 1/3 innings of work. He also struck out 50 and walked 16, while teams hit him at a .180 clip.
LHP Sheldon Lee, San Francisco -- Lee had a very solid spring for the Dons, tallying an ERA around two in 27 innings of work. He had an impressive summer for Oneonta, appeared in nine games (nine starts) and tallying a 2.72 ERA in 53 innings of work. He also struck out 42 and walked 11, while teams hit him at a .258 clip.
LHP Nathan Abel, Virginia -- Abel wasn't much of a factor for the Cavaliers in the spring, but things could change after the summer he put together. Abel appeared in nine games (eight starts) and had a 2.79 ERA in 51 2/3 innings of work. He also struck out 40 and walked 17, while teams hit him at a .254 clip.
RHP Daniel Thorpe, St. Joseph's -- Thorpe put together a very impressive spring for the Hawks and didn't skip a beat this summer. He appeared in eight games (eight starts) and tallied a 3.20 ERA in 56 1/3 innings of work. He also struck out 51 and walked 25, while teams hit him at a .232 clip.
RHP Taylor Martin, Kentucky -- Martin saw very limited action for the Wildcats in the spring, but could increase his role after such a solid summer. He appeared in nine games this summer (nine starts) and had a 3.71 ERA in 51 innings. He also struck out 49 and walked 19, while teams hit him at a .259 clip.
RHP Joe Michaud, Bryant -- Michaud had a solid 2012 campaign for the Bulldogs, and followed that up with a strong summer at the PGCBL. He's an arm to watch after appeared in seven games (seven starts) with a 2.11 ERA in 38 1/3 innings of work. He also struck out 53 and walked 14, while teams hit him at a .205 clip.
LHP Cody Tollison, Middle Tennessee State -- Tollison had a rough spring for the Blue Raiders, tallying an ERA over seven in limited innings of work. This summer, Tollison showed significant improvement. He appeared in nine games (eight starts) and tallied a 5.15 ERA in 43 2/3 innings of work. He also struck out 53 and walked 21, while teams hit him at a .299 clip.
RHP Chase Williamson, Auburn -- Williamson didn't make much of an impact for the Tigers this past spring, but things could really change in 2013. This summer, Williamson appeared in 20 games and had a 3.86 ERA in 35 innings of work. He also struck out 38 and walked five, while teams hit him at a .237 clip.
LHP Trevor Lacosse, Bryant -- After putting together a solid spring for the Bulldogs, he had a consistent summer at the PGCBL. He appeared in 19 games and had a 1.14 ERA in 23 2/3 innings of work. He also recorded eight saves, struck out 42 and walked 17. He also limited teams to a .176 clip.
