Harvard-Westlake continues to climb their way back towards the top after sliding as a result of a two game losing streak, the Wolverines are up to No. 3 with a brutal schedule awaiting them in a tournament next week at the National High School Invitational, where a strong showing could allow them to jump teams ahead of them.

Long Beach Wilson continues to climb rapidly, moving up to No. 6 this week thanks to a 10-1 start to the season, rebounding nicely from a surprising early loss with their ace, RHP Chase DeJong on the mound.

Bishop Amat finally put an end to their losing streak. The Lancers were in danger of slipping completely out of the Regional Top 25 at 1-5 after opening the season in the top five, but won two straight games this week and moved up a couple spots to No. 16 in spite of a 3-5 overall  record.

The biggest jump as a result goes to Chaparral (AZ), who won the Cleats Sports Invitaional, knocking off then No. 11 Saguaro in the title game. Texahoma

South Texas’ stranglehold on the top two spots continues for another week as No. 1 CC Carroll and No. 2 Calallen now sit at an impressive 33-0 combined. No. 3 Klein Collins is still playing well and looks poised to jump up ahead of either of those teams should they slip up, but to this point the opportunity hasn’t presented itself.

Edmond Santa Fe (OK) jumps to No. 6 in the region after ace RHP Ty Hensley had one of the most impressive individual performances of the young season Monday, throwing a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts to just one walk while going 2-for-2 at the plate with a hit from each side (including a no-doubt Home Run from the left) in a five inning 11-0 win at the Coach Bob National Invitational in Phoenix, AZ. Santa Fe did lose a couple of games in the tournament with their pitching spread thin, allowing idle Owasso pull ahead in the see-saw battle for the top spot in Oklahoma.

The top ranked team in north Texas, Rockwall-Heath moved up a spot after an emphatic 9-0 win over crosstown rival Rockwall this week to move up to No. 6.

New additions this week: No. 21 St. Pius X (TX), No. 22 Dulles (TX) and No. 23 Stillwater (OK).
