It's good to be Kentucky.

The Wildcats had put together a solid overall record entering the weekend, but a weak schedule had kept them from making huge strides in the PG Top 50 rankings. Well, the Wildcats proved everything they needed to over the weekend, sweeping South Carolina in impressive fashion with a strong bullpen leading the charge. As a result, UK made a meteoric rise in our latest rankings.

UCLA had another fantastic week that included a midweek win over USC and a weekend series win over Arizona State. The Bruins moved from No. 17 to No. 6 following the strong showing, while South Carolina moved down from No. 3 to No. 8 following the tough series loss at Kentucky. Meanwhile, N.C. State was a big mover this week, going from No. 29 to No. 18 following yet another impressive showing, this time a series sweep over Wake Forest.

Teams that dropped out of this week's rankings include Southern Mississippi, Texas Tech and Elon, while teams that entered the rankings include Washington, Coastal Carolina and Purdue.

The PG Top 50 is released each Monday morning during the college baseball season.
