Life couldn’t be better for South Carolina and associate head coach and recruiting coordinator Chad Holbrook.
Most days, Holbrook heads to the field at Carolina Stadium to assume his coaching duties, hoping to teach anything to help the Gamecocks get back to the College World Series for the third-straight season. And of course, win their third-straight national title.
Once Holbrook exits the stadium at the end of each day, his role shifts from coach to salesman. Developing players once they arrive on campus is important, but actually getting those players on campus is even more integral to the program’s success.
It’s what makes Holbrook’s job challenging, yet so rewarding when you consider the recruiting classes the Gamecocks recently have assembled, classes that helped guide the program to its first national title, and now back-to-back national titles.
