Helped their case
Missouri: The Tigers' only chance to make the NCAA tournament is to win the Big 12 tournament. They're succeeding in that goal so far this week, beating Texas on Saturday to advance to the tourney title game against Texas A&M. The Tigers are a win away from making the postseason.
Georgia: It's amazing to think the Bulldogs will be in the NCAA tournament barring a major surprise. They looked horrible against Vanderbilt earlier this week before winning three-straight games to essentially punch their ticket. What an amazing turnaround they put together.
Clemson: The Tigers entered the week hoping to solidify an NCAA Regional host. They might have just done that at the ACC tournament. They defeated Georgia Tech and N.C. State, while dropping a tough bout to Florida State. The Tigers are looking good for a host site.
Texas A&M: The Aggies got some bad news earlier in the day with pitcher John Stilson being lost for the year because of a torn labrum. However, they're taking care of business on the field. They've won three games at the Big 12 tournament to advance to the title game. It'll be hard to keep the Aggies out of a national seed if they win the tourney title.
Rice: What an impressive week the Owls put together. They lost to UAB to begin the Conference USA tournament, but bounced back in strong fashion and won the tourney title with yet another win over rival Houston. The Owls couldn't have done much more to improve their national seed resume. Now we'll see what the NCAA committee thinks.
St. John's: The Johnnies definitely were out of the NCAA postseason mix just a couple of weeks ago, but they finished the regular season in strong fashion and now will play Seton Hall for the Big East tourney title. The Johnnies have a chance to make the tourney no matter what happens with an RPI of 50, but winning the tourney title would be smart.
Cal State Bakersfield: The Roadrunners might not make the NCAA tournament field with an RPI of 63, but they're at least making their case so far this weekend with a pair of wins over Cal Poly. The 'Runners are a long shot to make the NCAA tournament field at this point, but they're a potential surprise.
Texas State: The Bobcats could've been in iffy shape from an NCAA tournament standpoint without winning the Southland tournament title, but they rose to the occasion on Saturday with a win over Nicholls State and a title game win over SFA to punch their postseason ticket. Texas State took matters into its own hands.
Florida State: The Seminoles entered the week with some work to do from a national seed standpoint, but rose to the occasion in impressive fashion. They defeated Clemson and Georgia Tech and now have another chance to bolster their national seed resume with an ACC tourney title game triumph.
Hurt their case
Arizona State: The Sun Devils entered the UCLA series in need of a series win to solidify a national seed. However, they've gotten dominated the first two games of the series and likely have moved out of serious national seed contention. Still, the NCAA could throw us a curveball.
Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets had a chance to earn a national seed with a strong showing this week. However, they went 1-2 in pool play at the ACC tournament and now are on the outside looking in for one of the top eight seeds. Still, they've had a solid campaign.
Oregon State: The Beavers have dropped in the RPI the past couple of weeks, so earning a national seed entering the weekend was a long shot. But not only have the Beavers lost a potential national seed against rival Oregon this weekend, they've also risked losing an NCAA Regional host, too.
Kansas State: The Wildcats have helped their postseason case the past couple of weeks, and began the Big 12 tournament with a solid 2-1 record. However, they had a chance to earn a pair of wins over Texas A&M on Saturday and failed in that quest. K-State likely still will reach the NCAA tournament, but it'll be close.
Florida Atlantic: The Owls had a golden opportunity to help their NCAA postseason stock entering the Sun Belt tournament. However, they went 0-3 in the tourney and are very much a long shot to be included in the field of 64. FAU was solid this season, but didn't take care of business in clutch situations.
Louisiana-Lafayette: The Ragin' Cajuns were behind FAU in the pecking order entering the Sun Belt tournament, so they had much work to do. However, they went 0-3 in the tourney and have little chance to be included in the field of 64. It was a disappointing finish for ULL.
Mercer: The Bears entered the Atlantic Sun tournament on the bubble for the NCAA tournament. However, despite reaching the A-Sun tourney title game, there's a great chance Stetson and Jacksonville join automatic bid Belmont in the field of 64, not Mercer. The Bears had a solid campaign, but didn't prevail when it mattered most.
