Broken Arrow (OK) knocked off previously #1 Owasso in the 6A state championship game thanks to a brilliant 14 K 2-hit shutout by Archie Bradley to make a case for the 2011 National Championship. The Tigers climbed from #7 up to #3 this week. Edison (CA) climbs back into the top spot for the third time this season with Archbishop McCarthy (FL) coming in at #2.

Both Edison and McCarthy face a tough road to their respective state championships and should they both fail to take home the title, Broken Arrow could be crowned the 2011 National Champions. Although #4 Spanish Fork (UT) and #5 Don Bosco Prep (NJ) are still darkhorse candidates.

Owasso ends its slide at #6 after finishing 36-2 (with a strong schedule) and could very well have wound up the 6A Oklahoma champions had their pitching lined up differently to allow Dylan Bundy to start the title game. Bishop Gorman (NV) has continued their recent run of success, knocking off rival Sierra Vista twice to advance to the Nevada State Playoffs and appear likely to win their sixth consecutive state title.

Marist (GA), Orangewood Christian (FL) and Ft. Bend Clements (TX) round out the final three spots in the top ten.

Several teams won state championships this week, including: #3 Broken Arrow (OK), #14 Mountain Pointe (AZ), #34 Jesuit (LA) and  #42 La Cueva (NM).

New additions this week: #31 St. Louis University (MO), #33 Maize (KS), #40 Palm Desert (CA), #44 Cullman (AL) and #48 Tupelo (MS).
