After spending the past two weeks stuck in the  #2 spot behind Edison (CA) the Owasso Rams (OK) finally got their opportunity to move up to the number ranking in the nation this week. Owasso won both of their games this week to improve their season record to 26-1. The Rams have outscored their competition by an incredible 251 runs (292-41) and are led by arguably the best battery in the country in RHP Dylan Bundy and C Drew Stiner.

Flanagan (FL) moved up to #2 in the nation with an eleven game winning streak dating back to March 9.  Edison's second loss of the season (a one-run loss to a quality Poway team in the San Diego Lions tournament) caused them to slip a couple of spots down to #3. While Spanish Fork (UT) reaches its highest ranking of the season by moving up to #4 and Marist (GA) enters the top five for the first time.

Broken Arrow (OK) suffered a one-run loss to the third ranked team in Oklahoma (Santa Fe), causing them to fall five spots to #8. Bishop Amat (CA) would have moved up to #2 had they managed to extend their winning streak to 22 games after starting 0-2, but the Lancers suffered a 2-1 loss last night and at 21-3 they wind up at #9.

Cathedral Catholic (CA) made the biggest jump this week by going 5-0 against very good competition to win the prestigous San Diego Lions tournament and improve to 18-2 on the season. The Dons debuted at #47 last week and climbed 18 spots this week to wind up at #29 in the new rankings.

Mountain Pointe (AZ) is coming off a very impressive week, crushing the previously second ranked team in Arizona (33rd in the nation), Hamilton by a score of 11-1. Senior C Kevin Cron is currently one Home Run shy of tying his own single season record, and is already the career record holder. Mountain Pointe debuts in the National Top 50 at #31 this week and are playing their best at the right time.

Other new additions this week include: #45 Sharyland (TX), #48 Tupelo (MS), #49 Plainfield North (IL) and #50 Lawrence Free State (KS).
