14u PG BCS North Champ. Notes

Colton Mosher (2029, Bettendorf, Iowa) put together a phenomenal performance this past weekend for the Quad City Area Knights. In his first outing on the mound, Mosher was dominant, tossing 4 scoreless innings while allowing just 1 hit and striking out 9. He worked with a smooth, repeatable delivery that allowed him to command the fastball to all quadrants of the zone, consistently forcing hitters to chase.

Mosher also showcased his poise and presence at the plate. In the championship game, he went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, and an RBI. He demonstrated an advanced feel for the barrel and the ability to drive the ball to all fields, rounding out an all-around impressive weekend.

Benjamin Greiner (2029, Atkins, Iowa) made a strong impact both on the mound and at the plate this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed pitcher was dominant in his outing, tossing 5 innings of two-hit ball without allowing an earned run. Greiner’s physical frame gives him excellent leverage on his pitches, creating difficult angles and making it challenging for hitters to pick up the ball.

At the plate, Greiner also flashed some power. He had a standout performance against the Quad City Area Knights, going 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI. His ability to contribute on both sides of the ball makes him a key two-way talent to watch in the 2029 class.

Kemper Miller (2029, Bettendorf, Iowa) was a model of consistency at the plate this weekend, finishing with an impressive cumulative batting average of .615. His standout performance came against Top Tier Iowa 14U–Lozano, where he went a perfect 4-for-4, including a double.

Miller showcases excellent swing mechanics, featuring a level path through the zone that allows him to make consistent, quality contact. His disciplined approach and ability to deliver in key moments make him a steady offensive presence and a standout in the 2029 class.

Loyal Taylor (2029, South Holland, Ill.) put together a strong weekend at the plate, consistently finding ways to impact the game offensively. His standout performance came in a big moment, where he went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, showcasing his ability to rise to the occasion.

Taylor displayed an advanced feel for the barrel, pairing it with impressive strength that allows him to drive the ball with authority into the outfield. His balanced stance and quick hands give him a consistent approach at the plate, and he demonstrated the ability to adjust to different pitch types while maintaining solid contact. Taylor’s poise, power potential, and mature approach make him a name to watch in the 2029 class.

Charlie Hawley (2029, Davenport, Iowa) showcased his power potential at the plate this weekend, delivering several loud swings and making his presence felt in the batter’s box. Hawley demonstrated excellent impact strength off the barrel, highlighted by a towering triple that slammed off the top of the left-field fence—just missing a home run.

In his standout game, he went 1-for-2 with that triple and an RBI, flashing both his strength and ability to drive in runs. Hawley’s aggressive yet controlled approach allows him to generate consistent hard contact, and his advanced bat speed gives him the ability to turn around velocity. With his size, power, and approach, he’s an exciting offensive threat in the 2029 class.
