WWBA World Champ. Pool Release

WWBA World Championship Event Page

It's almost that time of year again, where the amateur baseball world descends upon Jupiter, Florida for the 2024 WWBA World Championships, the 26th year of the event. In what is sure to be another stellar showing, the event simply known as "Jupiter" is the ultimate proving ground for travel ball teams and ranks atop the most coveted wins for an organization.

Stay tuned and follow along as we release every pool today in intervals of 10 minutes, breaking things down from the favorite to the dark horse, something to follow closely in each pool and someone to follow closely from the uncommitted side of things.

Projected Pool Winner: Canes National/NY Mets Scout Team

The Canes came within a game of capturing the 17u WWBA title over the summer, but this group is back and ready to compete for another title in Jupiter. The lineup is extremely deep led by five PG All-Americans in Dean MossCoy JamesMason BraunBrayden Jaksa, and Ethin BingamanEverett Johnson and Donavan Jeffrey also return after missing the summer and will be joined by the No. 1 player in the 2026 class Grady Emerson. This is an extremely deep roster and expectations are high.

Dark Horse: Knights Baseball 18u National
The Knights bring a deep roster to Jupiter, one that has thirteen commits already and that number will surely go up after the event. It’s a physical group with size throughout and they’ll be led by underclassman Jack Dugan who was excellent this summer. They have a lot of their top 26s, and even some 27s, on the roster so don’t be surprised to see this group make some noise.

What to Look for: Cangelosi Rolling into Jupiter
The Cangelosi Sparks are coming off a 6-0 performance at the WWBA Kernels Foundation tournament and also look like a team worthy of coming out of this pool. Liam Arsich and Gavin Triezenberg led the way offensively while Enzo Infelise showed big power in the middle of the lineup. They have a bevy of arms too and this is a closely knit group that will absolutely compete in Florida.

Uncommitted Impact: Available PR Bats
There is a lot of uncommitted 2025 talent across the roster as this is a team that won the Puerto Rico WWBA Qualifier. Carlos Carlo ColonFabian A. Bonilla Huertas, and qualifier MVP Yamvier Raúl Carrero Rios are three names to start who all profile well with solid offensive skills. Puerto Rico is annually a baseball hot bed and there are lots of available names on this roster.

USA Prime National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team Sean Gamble 6 2025 Kruz Schoolcraft 7 2025 Carrolton, TX

Projected Pool Winner: USA Prime National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team

It’s hard to argue that USA Prime National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team isn’t going to walk away from this pool on top. The roster is loaded with 20 commits on both sides of the ball. It’s a loaded roster full of talent, and they have the bats who are going to find ways to get it done. Whether it is top-of-the-class talent like Sean Gamble or Josiah Hartshorn or depth throughout the lineup like Jack Ruckert and ‘26 grad Steele Hall. Not to mention, they have 13 arms who are 90+ mph on the fastball, with good depth throughout the staff, headlined by no.7 overall Kruz Schoolcraft, who’s been a personal favorite for years since his Select Festival days. Behind Schoolcraft, there’s a litany of arms who could rise to the occasion, like Austin DeanCory Sheridan, or Garrett Snyder, to name a few. Keep an eye on ‘26 grad Brayden Harris to be an impact arm as well.

Dark Horse: Canadian Premier
While the Canadian Premier team may not have the roster of 20 commits like USA Prime National, their squad will be tough to beat. They have a good group of commits and depth on both sides of the ball, though their strength will be on the mound. They have a litany of 2025s and 2026s who will compete, no matter whose name is called. Whether it's a high-octane arm in Ben Goodacre, a tried & true strike-thrower in Keegan Russell, or a bulldog competitor in  Mark Rogers, the 2025s will be ready. They also have a healthy crop of 2026s in Logan ForgieWill Hynes, and Julian Sabourin (recent Oregon State commit), who are looking for their chance to shine. It’s hard to argue with the amount of depth the Canadian Premier squad has on the mound. At the dish, its going to be a good group as well, headlined by Jordan JacobJustin Rompre, and William Beaudoin, who round out the 2025s on the infield. Robert Omidi, a highly-coveted 2026 infielder, will also make some noise with the bat. The team has depth throughout to call upon as well, such as Mason AultQuinn CarsonTyson Moran, and Ryan Stalony. There’s no reason this team cannot make some noise in Pool B.

What to Look For: Hawaii Elite 2G to sneak up on competition
If there’s one thing I’ve learned the last few years about the Hawaii Elite 2G squad that comes to Jupiter, it’s that they will compete. The Hawaii Elite 2G teams play fundamental baseball, which can be a lost art with a lot of talent blending together on some of these National teams. However, the Hawaii teams tend to play sound defense, handle the game’s pace well, and just do things the right way. It’s a quality roster with 11 Top 500 players and 6 commits across the board. Elai Iwanaga will provide the team with a quality ace to play behind, with good depth in players like Kainoa Kaneshiro and Alaka'i Kiakona. Offensively, it's going to be a team that gets production from all over. Players like Tanner FujinoAukai Araujo-Waiau, and Logan Honma will be names to watch. I expect the Hawaii Elite squad to be a competitor in this Pool and play sound baseball from start to finish in Jupiter this fall.

Uncommitted Impact:
Carson Brumbaugh (2025, Edmond, Okla.) is a two-way talent who will surely find ways to be impactful for the USA Prime National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team squad. He’s a shortstop with good bat-to-ball and strength that shows in an athletic 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame. He’s also able to get it done on the mound, up to 92 mph on the fastball with a devilish slider to pair. Easy profile to like on both sides of the ball.

Keegan Russell (2025, Windsor, Ont.) is a bigger and physical 6-foot-6. 235-pound frame who has plenty to like in the frame. He gets it done each time he takes the mound and has a ton of upside to like for a Division I school. He’s into the low 90s and has a good sinker profile on the heater when thrown in the upper-80s. He’ll pound the zone and mix in an 11-5 shaped curveball and occasional changeup. Physical and durable build from the Canadian Junior National Team member with a lot to like on the mound.

Matis Rodrigue (2025, Montreal, Que.) is a really intriguing arm from the Canadian Premier squad. Rodrigue works the mid- to upper-80s from a higher slot with deception to the delivery, making for a tough at-bat on opposing hitters. He’ll flash a 1-7 shaped curveball in the mid-70s, with a big shape and depth to land it for strikes. Add in the upper-70s/low-80s changeup, and it’s a three-pitch mix that can beat. Rodrigue’s a name to watch in Jupiter this fall.

Robert Omidi (2026, Mississauga, Ont.) is the definition of “hitters hit.” Every time he steps to the plate, he looks to do damage. He finds the barrel with elite bat-to-ball and a feel to be on the barrel and drive the ball to all fields. It may not be a long ball profile, but there’s sneaky juice, and Omidi will barrel up balls to all parts of the field to get it done and grind out quality at-bats. He’s a highly-coveted prospect north of the border and will make noise with the Canadian Premier team in Jupiter.

Team Elite Scout Trent Grindlinger
26 2025 Dylan McIntyre 500 2025 Winder, GA

Projected Pool Winner: Team Elite Scout
With a roster that bolsters two 2024 PG-All American participants in Trent Grindlinger and Dax Kilby, Team Elite Scout has to be considered the favorite here in Pool C. The lineup should score plenty of runs with the aforementioned Grindlinger and Kilby but a pair of New York natives in Mateo Noto and Owen ten Oever will add to the firepower as both have performed across the circuit in ’24. Let’s not forget about Tennessee commit Evan Hankins here either, as he brings an enticing two-way skill and prodigious power to an already formidable lineup. The pitching staff will have a ton of depth with the likes of Dylan McIntyreKyle Hopper and the previously mentioned Hankins as the arms that will be counted upon in big matchups. Clayton Hicks and Samuel Martell are additional members of the pitching corps that will be deployed along the way, as Team Elite looks to make a deep playoff run in Jupiter.

Dark Horse: Boston Red Sox Scout Team
With a roster that bolsters tons of position depth within both the 2025 and 2026 class, they should be able to put up plenty of runs in their hopes of winning Pool C and making a playoff run down in Jupiter. Julius RosadoLogan Charboneau bring monster power to the table within the middle of the lineup, while the likes of Phillip Cheong, William Kramer and Virginia commit Michael Hanna can be counted on to lengthen the lineup wherever they are slotted. Campbell commit Jimmy Bell and 2026 Duke commit Bradley McCafferty will likely see the bulk of the innings behind the dish, as both offer real arm strength to thwart the running game and will also be vital parts of the lineup. The pitching staff will be led by the likes of Penn State commit Robert Brown and the absolute funk from Boston College commit Sean Budis. 2026 right-hander Graeson Register, a Texas A&M commit along with Matt StuartGrant McCubrey and Graham Willerer provide the depth needed to potentially get through pool play and on to the playoffs.

What to Look For: “The Star Power of Grindlinger and Kilby”
There will be plenty of eyes on the two PG All-Americans participants, as they will look to continue to showcase the exact attributes that made them All-Americans this past August. Both have shown in the past to rise to the occasion when the lights are bright. Each at-bat will be extremely fun to watch and should provide tons of potential for big moments.

Uncommitted Gems:

Brendan Horne (2025, Hookeset, NH): The uncommitted middle-infielder brings an enticing blend of athleticism, speed and offensive prowess to the table for those looking to add to their 2025 recruiting class.

Dylan McIntyre (2025, Union, KY): The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder right-hander works steadily in the upper-80s and has been into the low-90s previously, while offering feel for spin and the ability to miss bats. He has worked to a .98 ERA thus far in twenty-one innings of work, while allowing just eight hits and punching out twenty-four.

Winston Pennant (2026, Riverview, FL): Pennant is an uber-projectable outfielder that has performed offensively in ’24, while flashing both power and real feel for the barrel at-times. The projection when coupled with the physical upside is surely something to watch for those looking to bolster their class.

Projected Pool Winner: Alpha Prime 25

Alpha has become one of the premier organizations on the West Coast and will being yet another loaded roster to Jupiter. The group will be led by All-America Mason Pike, who is one of the more advanced switch-hitters in the country and can also jump on the mound late in games He will be joined on the infielder by fellow Oregon State commit Ethan Porter, who provides a powerful right-handed stick to the lineup, and Malosi Mata'afa-Aleros, who is one of the more sure-handed middle infielders in the class. The position player group also features some intriguing younger bats, including backstops Dillon Moss and Carson Sheffer, and infielders Archer Horn and Julian Cazares. Arkansas commit and lefthander Joey Lorenzini and Oklahoma State commit Parker Jennings will lead the way on the mound. They will also get valuable innings from Texas A&M commit Chase Bentley and Southern California commit Cameron Faussett. The roster as a whole has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and more than capable of making a run all the way to the final.

Dark Horse: Canes American 18u

Taking down Alpha will be a tough task, but Canes American 18u has the talent to do so. The roster features 20 college commitments with a talented lineup and a strong staff on the mound. Joshua Campbell will lead the way offensively, providing a well-rounded skill set. Mekhi Brewer will bring a thunderous bat to the middle of the order capable of leaving the yard at any moment. On the mound, right-hander Jace Stancil and left-hander Spencer Evans provide a powerful 1-2 punch. There is no denying the talent that lays within this roster and it would not be a surprise if they came out of the pool on top.

What to Look For: Backend arms

There is no denying the offensive talent within this pool. All four teams have plenty of bats that can string together tough at-bats and put up runs at a high rate. The difference when it is all said and done will likely come down to the team that can get the most out of their backend arms. Whether that is arms out of the pen or starters that take the ball later in pool play, teams will need some guys to step up and answer the challenge. Whichever team does that and keeps opponents bats quiet will have a good chance to come out of the pool as a winner.

Uncommitted Impact:  MIF Brycen Romberg

Brycen Romberg (Premier Baseball 2025 Scout) has put together an impressive showing on the circuit throughout the year and is one of the premier uncommitted bats in the pool. The infielder has hit nearly .400 with three home runs and nearly twice as many walks as strikeouts. There is up the middle upside on the defensive side and some arm strength that could result in some two-way ability.

Projected Pool Winner: Canes Midwest 18U National
While there’s certainly talent to be found up and down this pool, Canes Midwest comes into the tournament as one of the teams to beat. With names like Blane MetzJoshua Flores, and Michael Teasley bolstering the pitching staff, don’t expect many runs to be scored in opposition of the Indianapolis based boys. The squad features six 90+ arms with 23 players ranked in the Top 500, safe to say depth is not a concern here. Focusing in on Metz, the 6-foot-3, 210 pound Indiana commit has continued to show power stuff this Summer with the FB up to 94 mph, not to mention a CB/CH combo on command for one of the more complete arsenals in the country. It isn’t just the pitching either, as Canes have serious firepower on the offensive end by the likes of Taylor BelzaZahir Barjam, and Trent Gill. Add Brandon Logan to the mix, an advanced athlete who posts a 6.34 sixty time, and you have a squad that should be competing deep into the final days of the event.

Dark Horse: Dirtbags Scout Team
Dirtbags Scout comes in second in the pool in terms of names ranked in the Top 500 (20), and it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see this squad winning games early and often come October 10th. The most intriguing aspect here is the overall experience that Dirtbags bring to the table, featuring a solid mix of 2025/2026 grads who have almost all played at the highest levels. Arms like Chase Kiker and Cameron Tarkenton are both ranked in the Top 40 for the ‘26 class and have combined for a sub 1.70 ERA in over 30 IP this calendar year. The offense will be led by Will Holden and Logan D'Amico, two studs who have both hit over .300 this Summer. Overall, Dirtbags have 14 D1 commits on the roster ready to do damage, and are certainly not a bad bet in the slightest to make it out of pool play.

What to Look For: Hidden Gems
While we’re busy talking about the committed names in the pool (of which there are many), be on the lookout for diamonds in the rough from all four squads. There’s well over 40 prospects who have yet to find a home at the next level, a number that is almost guaranteed to be shortened after the weekend’s events. Nearly every year at Jupiter a name shoots up out of nowhere, and this year should be no different, especially in this pool.

Uncommitted Impact: Zahir Barjam
If Canes are going to live up to the hype surrounding them, expect previously mentioned Zahir Barjam to have a big impact. The #278 prospect in the nation has consistently put up numbers that might have gone slightly unappreciated the past two years, posting a BA above .400 in ‘23 and ‘24 with the power starting to take shape this year with 3 home runs. Barjam is a well rounded athlete standing at 5-foot-10, 188 pounds and provides value on both sides of the field. While everyone is focused on the top of the class, it’s guys like Barjam who end up making plays to win games, and entire events, for their sides.

Projected Pool Winner: CBA Marucci
CBA is bringing a deep squad to Jupiter where they should be able to compete with anyone in the entire tournament. On the position player side, they are highlighted by one the best shortstops in the class in Ethan Clauss (LSU) and a talented power hitting LHH in Jarrett Sabol (USC). On the mound, Dylan Harrison (Clemson) is going to lead the charge as he has seen his stock rise significantly after a really strong summer circuit. Gavin Lauridsen (USC) is another low 90s arm for CBA that can really spin a breaking ball. They also got a couple of 2026s that I expect to be big time contributors in Eric Zdunek (TCU) and Andruw Giles.

Dark Horse: FTB Phillies National
I wouldn’t necessarily call them a Dark Horse, but this Phillies Squad certainly has the talent to win this pool especially with their position player group where they have 11 guys that are ranked T500 or better. Jacob Kendall (Florida) and Allem Borrero are going to have to lead them on the offensive end as both are advanced LH bats that are capable of carrying a lineup at any time. On the mound is where they might need some arms to step up. Avery Shiflett (Georgia) is a crafty mid 80s LHP that can stifle opposing lineups and Jake Lodgek (Miami) is an athletic RHP who runs it up into the low 90s with a quality SL.

What to Look For: Under the Radar ‘25s
They are some really interesting ‘25s in this pool that could make some noise this tournament and help elevate their stock. Two of those types on CBA include an athletic SS out of San Diego in Jett Kenady (Cal) and a 1B/LHP in Mike Erspamer (Stanford) who can impact it at the plate and run it up into the low 90s on the mound. On some of the other squads, Diego Rosa (South Florida) for FTB should be one of the better defensive catchers in the entire tournament who also brings some solid impact at the plate. Matthew McCullough (Texas Tech) for Sandlot is a 6-foot-7 arm out of Texas that can run it into the low 90s at times and Patrick Binnebose is an intriguing RHP for Iowa Select who also can get it up into the low 90s from a high slot with some interesting secondary stuff.

Uncommitted Impact: Wyatt Clewett and Allem Borrero
Clewett is a player I’ve been tracking on socials for a good while and is someone I think that can blow up in a big way next month. High-upside athletic OF/RHP at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds that can impact it from the left side and run it up into the low 90s on the mound. I brought up Borrero earlier but it’s some of the best impact I saw from the left side all of summer. At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds it’s a bat that immediately stands out in the box and all that strength/physicality translates to some serious EVs.

Projected Pool Winner: Scorpions 2025 Dodgers Scout Team
The Scorpions enter as the favorites to exit their pool with high expectations and certainly have the potential of heading into bracket play with a 3-0 record. Their lineup is loaded from top to bottom with powerful bats such as middle-infielder Ty Kennedy and Duke commit Lamar EdwardsStephen ChuckaGabe Graulau and Josiah Kemp will also be seen covering ground in the outfield and providing run support for the Scorpions. The UCF commit Max Murray Jr. brings huge two-way potential to this roster after putting together a dominant summer on both sides of the ball. The Scorpions’ pitching staff is just as loaded with 12 arms up above 90 mph, and another 13 in the upper-80s. Florida commit and right-hander Michael Senay has posted a 0.27 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 26.1 innings of work this summer and will likely head the rotation. Other righties include the likes of 6-foot-7 Hunter WallersteinMerrick Beamish and Keegan Deihl. A couple of Pittsburgh commits in Carson Martin and southpaw Brandon Reiter round out this pitching staff and will be expected to eat up some innings throughout the week. The Scorpions are extremely well-rounded and certainly capable of making a deep run in the bracket.

Dark Horse: Northeast Baseball
It’s tough to classify a team with 20 commits and eight arms above 90 mph as a dark horse, but Northeast Baseball appears to be the squad with enough firepower to knock off the Scorpions in pool play. The offense is expected to be led by Boston College commit Luke Gallo and the power-hitting first baseman Cole Hambly, who hit .593 this summer. Will Norris and David Pengel will control the outfield and serve as reliable contributors to this offensive lineup. The pitching staff includes the likes of right-handers Chase HartsellCamren PiwnickiRiley Hofrichter as well as Penn State commits Leo Boucher and Dylan Firmstone. Talented bats and arms from the New England region fill up this Northeast Baseball roster and give them more than just a fighting chance to sit atop their pool.

What To Look For: Jupiter Experience
Although they were favored to come out of Pool G and make a run in the bracket last year, the Scorpions fell short despite winning a couple of games. Experience will likely play a factor for the Orlando-based squad as a handful of their bats will be making a return to Jupiter next week. Leadoff stick Ty Kennedy and the power-hitting outfielder Lamar Edwards are a couple of names that have already been exposed to the atmosphere and pressure that comes with playing for a WWBA World Championship.

Uncommitted Impact: Gabe Graulau
The 6-foot-4 190-pound outfielder is simply a special player with incredible talent and upside on both sides of the ball. The recently uncommitted Graulau is a 6.39 runner with a plus arm that has been clocked at 96 mph from the outfield. The righty hitter has legitimate power from gap to gap that appears effortless and tons of evident strength in the hands. The Jupiter native will continue to garner the attention of schools and scouts, and is expected to put on a show offensively next week.

Projected Pool Winner: CBU 2025 Scout Team
CBU has quickly become one of the premier baseball organizations in Florida. Their 15U, 16U, and 17U teams all reached the championship game of their respective BCS tournaments in Fort Myers this summer. The 17U squad was comprised of most of the same players who will soon be taking the field in Jupiter. Grayson CarpenterJordan Yost, and Jackson Geiger will provide as good as any 1-2-3 punch at the top of a batting order. The trio combined for an absurd 43 hits in 10 games at the BCS back in July. CBU has the pitching to compete too, with Jimmy Huard leading the way. His velocity has jumped roughly 8 mph in the past year, as he is now creeping into the mid-90s. Then there is Carlos Lugo, who has solidified himself as a legitimate two-way talent, with his plus hit tool and low-90s fastball. If you are looking for a group of Hometown Heroes to run the table in Jupiter this year, CBU 2025 Scout Team has what it takes.

Dark Horse: Canes National 17U
Hardly a “Dark Horse", the Canes National 17U features a whopping 11 players ranked within the Top 100 of the 2026 class. Multi-time PG Select Fest alumni Beau Peterson and Alex Harrington are the cream of the crop, and they are just the surface of what this potent lineup has to offer. This team has the depth to run out a full lineup of Power-4 commits. And then we get to the pitching. RJ Cope is a freak athlete; a 6-foot-8 southpaw with a lively, low-90s fastball. There is also Cameron Hanes, who mowed down hitters with ease in Sanford recently. Opposing lineups will not be eager to face the Canes’ bullpen, as any arm taking the mound will be lethal. If you are looking for an “underdog” story, this has it written all over them.

What to Watch For: Plethora of Talented Hitters
This pool will be a fun one to cover, with all four rosters boasting some impressive lineups. The aforementioned CBU and Canes teams are loaded, and the Slammers and Diamond Devils have plenty of studs too. Connor Larkin and Brendan Fritch will be carrying hot bats to Palm Beach County, and the Devils will bring some of the top hitters from South Carolina. Hits should be plentiful in this group, so it may be the arms who create separation in the standings.

Uncommitted Impact: Sam Teich and Stephen Platte
The Diamond Devils 18U feature an intriguing tandem of uncommitted pitchers at the top of their rotation. Teich performed well at the National Academic Showcase in Georgia back in June of this year. He has an above-average pitch mix, highlighted by a mid-80s fastball that he can locate well. Then there is the southpaw Platte, who has flashed wipeout stuff. He threw a 7-inning, no-hit, complete game shutout at the 2024 WWBA 16U National Championship, where he struck out 14 while walking 3. A performance like that again in Jupiter would certainly garner him widespread attention.

All-American Mario Magana should be a spark at the top and possesses perhaps the most intriguing combination of power/speed in the country. The lineup is loaded with talent throughout, with Jalen Foxx and Jadyn Nunez being two very consistent bats that have advanced hit tools. Alexander Galan can send the ball a long way, hitting four long balls at PG events in 2024 and will supply a considerable power presence.

Dark Horse: 643 DP Cougars 18U
The Cougars have plenty of talent both in the ’25 and ’26 class on the roster. Florida State commit and speedster John Stuetzer is a presence and great athlete that should match up well against some of the higher tier arms in the tournament. The roster has tons of depth and has no shortage of arms. Southpaw North Carolina commit Jackson Rose and recent Clemson commit Carson Adomnik will lead the staff and are competitors with advanced repertoires. The lineup has plenty of depth as well and is going to put together quality at-bats. The Cougars typically compete at a high level late into tournaments, and the roster is deep this year in particular.

What to Look For: Depth of Arms
All four teams in the pool are stacked with arms who can do a lot of different things on the bump. There will be power, pitchability, and finesse that should lead to a lot of battles and well-pitched games. Everyone has an arm capable of knocking someone off and there will be really intriguing matchups. There is a great mix of both underclass and upperclass talent on the mound and much will come down to how well teams execute.

Uncommitted Impact: Jalen Foxx
Foxx is a name who been on the radar for awhile and always performs at big events. The outfielder is a physical athlete who can do just about everything. Foxx batted .378 across 18 games in 2024 and has a knack for the barrel. He is a 6.59 runner with impressive arm strength and the power is emerging as well. The Florida native will be a popular name amongst RC’s and can do a lot of different things to win games on the baseball field.

Projected Pool Winner: Original Florida Pokers
The Pokers have developed a reputation on the circuit for being gritty winners, led by their renowned head coach and leader Todd Fitz-Gerald. Gritty is really just to describe the style of play, as they also have two stars in University of Miami commit Bennet Gary (2025 Parkland, FL) and University of Georgia commit Nick Diaz (2025 Parkland, FL). The Pokers have owned the BCS the last couple of summers winning two 17U Championships. Then they made a final four run in Jupiter last year. This group is deep, experienced, and tough.

Dark Horse: 5 Star/Chicago Cubs ST
The 5 Star/Chicago Cubs ST has 22 D1 commits and is extremely physical group. On paper they have some dynamic arms on the mound and there is plenty of depth. The potential power in the lineup that can change the game in one swing of the bat also stands out. If they can gel and get some rhythm, this is a lineup that can make waves in the most difficult amateur tournament on the planet to navigate.

What to Look For: Experience vs Youth
Between the Original Florida Pokers and 5 Star/Chicago Cubs ST both have experience throughout the rosters with high-level players that have earned the right to be the favorites in this pool. The interesting matchups will come with the next wave of prospects that Wow Factor National 17U National have listed on the roster. There are eight players ranked in the top 100 prospects nationally between the ’26 and ’27 classes and there is always a young roster that clicks and makes a run. Is WF that team, this year?

Uncommitted Impact: Andrew Alvarez
Look no further than Andrew Alvarez here. There are a number of excellent uncommitted players in this pool but Alvarez stands out. He has been such a consistent performer over the years but his ’25 season has been incredible. He has hit .400 with a 1.304 OPS with a 17/9 BB to K rate. He is a sure-handed defender on the dirt and can spell at any of the three spots. He is a winner and should play early at the next level given his bat-to-ball skills and baseball IQ.

Project Pool Winner: Wow Factor National 18u
Wow Factor National, since its inception a few years back, has always brought loaded teams down to Jupiter and the 2024 rendition is no different. This group is led by 4 PG All-Americans in C Omar Serna, SS Diego Velzquez, RHP Dylan Wood, and 3B Dylan Dubovik. They’re joined by three other top-100 names as well in RHP Noah Yoder, 3B Sebastian Norman, and SS Aidan West. This group is loaded on the mound with high octane arms littered throughout as well as impact bats throughout the lineup. On paper, this offense looks daunting from the top to the bottom however they want to put it together and suffocating on the mound. Not only is this Wow Factor team projected to win the pool, but they also have a chance to win the event with this insane amount of talent on this roster.

Dark Horse: Royals Scout Team 2025
This Royals Scout Team 2025 roster has a good mix of elite talent, boasting 18 college commits, as well as some underclass names that will look to impact in a big way. The pitching staff looks incredible on paper, and they’ll lean on PG All-American and top-50 player nationally in RHP Jordan Martin as their workhorse. The 2026 crop is well represented on this roster as well with RHP Brody Crane, two-way talent Lincoln Boyle, and 3B Cale Fossett set to impact in a major way. This organization always seems to be in the thick of things as events unfold and it wouldn’t shock me one bit if they sneak up and do it again.

What to Look For: Underclass Impact
Underclass players participating in the fall’s premier event has been the new norm in the recent years and this pool looks loaded with 2026 names that should be on everyone’s radar. Top-10 name Anthony Del Angel and top-50 player James Jorgensen along with 12 others headline the Dulins Dodgers roster. The Royals Scout Team, my dark horse pick, as previously mentioned is also bringing down some high-level underclassmen that should have a major impact on how things shake up. The fun thing is, it’s not just this pool, as 32 of the top-50 players in next year’s graduating class are set to head to Jupiter in a few weeks.

Uncommitted Impact: LHP Cooper Lewis
LHP Cooper Lewis has been a name that’s been a big arrow up in recent months and will be one of the most intriguing uncommitted names in Jupiter. It’s a free and loose operation with plenty of arm speed and has been up to 91 mph recently. He has good feel to spin a mid-70s breaking ball with quality depth as well. There’s not a better place to throw the baseball well and I’m looking for Lewis to do just that at one of the biggest events of the year.

GBG American Randy Ruiz 271 2026 Giovanni Guariglia Jr 128 2026 Manhattan Beach, CA

Projected Pool Winner: East Cobb/Padres ST
The East Cobb/ Padres Scout Team is littered with talent and athleticism throughout. The roster consists of 16 players inside the Top 500 rankings and 13 Division 1 commits with several highly touted prospects still uncommitted. East Cobb always brings a powerhouse lineup to Jupiter and this year’s club features a diverse roster with players from all around the country and as far as the Dominican Republic. Shortstop Josh Proctor (’25, Altadena, Calif.), a UCLA commit, and right-handed pitcher Yaki De La Cruz-Mondesir (’25, San Pedro De Macoris, PM DOM) will have the longest treks with Cruz-Mondesir appearing in his first PG event. The infield talent will be on full display with five shortstops on the roster inside the Top 100 of the PG National Rankings. Jaden Fauske (’25, Willowbrook, Ill.), Josh Gibbs (’25, Cumming, Ga.), Ryan Mitchell (’25, Germantown, Tenn.), Terrance Bowen (’25, Roswell, Ga.) and Josh Proctor will all see time on the dirt and looked upon to lead from the middle of the diamond. Catchers Masa Chilcutt (’25, San Antonio, Tex.) and Dominic Stephenson (’25, Marietta, Ga.) along with outfielder Nathan Eisfelder (’25, Jonesborough, Tenn.) and a host of other talented hitters should provide enough offense to advance and win the pool.

Dark Horse: BPC Oilers 2025
Baseball Performance Center from Pleasantville, New Jersey will have a solid chance to advance from Pool L with a roster filled with pitching depth and 18 Division 1 commits. The offense is led by outfielder Chase Kroberger (’25, Moorestown, N.J.) an Alabama commit and third baseman Jason Fultz (’25, Harborcreek, Pa.), a Clemson commit. On the pitching side, right-hander Evan Taylor (’25, Ocean City, N.J.), an Alabama commit and right-hander Jackson Smallets (’25, Sicklerville, N.J.), a Coastal Carolina commit, will lead the charge with talented ’27 right-hander Jack Lerro (Haddon Heights, N.J.) looking to make an impact. The Oilers went a perfect 6 and 0 at the 2024 WWBA Northeast Jupiter Qualifier while outscoring their opponents 62-30.

What To Look For: Pitching Depth
The East Cobb/Padres ST is loaded offensively and how well their pitchers and two-way players perform on the mound will dictate how deep they can make it in the tournament. Georgia commit Will Allen (’25, Warner Robbins, Ga.), Nolan Bernard (’25, Walden, Tenn.) and Tyler Stone (’25, Hamden, Conn.), a Virginia Tech commit, will lead the staff. With the length of the WWBA World Championship and multiple playoff games per day on the road to the finals, pitching depth is always an issue regardless of how many primary pitchers are on the roster. Two-way players such as shortstop Josh Gibbs (’25, Cumming, Ga.), outfielder KJ Hart (’25, Woodstock, Ga.) and first baseman Cameron Uzzillia (’25, Tampa, Fla.) could be called upon to toe the slab if East Cobb is to make a deep run. Efficient outings during pool play will dictate how far East Cobb/Padres ST will go in the tournament with emphasis on getting to bracket play from a tough Pool L bracket.

Uncommitted Impact: NCAA Roster Crunch
Pool L will feature a plethora of talented uncommitted pitchers and players on every roster in the pool. With the NCAA ruling of 34 roster spots at the Division 1 level, coaching changes and other various reasons, a number of players who were once committed have found themselves suddenly uncommitted and looking at Jupiter as an opportunity to get another chance to play somewhere. Some top ranked uncommitted ’25 players to watch are shortstop Jaden Fauske (East Cobb/Padres ST), catcher Masa Chilcutt (East Cobb/Padres ST), shortstop Kade Kisz (East Cobb/Padres ST), RHP Nolan Bernard (East Cobb/Padres ST) and LHP Hunter Atkins (East Cobb/Padres ST).

BPC Oilers 2025, GBG American and Florida Burn have several top-ranked uncommitted ’26 players that look to make an impact as underclassmen.

Projected Pool Winner: 5 Star Mafia 18U Black
It’s no surprise to be talking about a 5 Star team as a pool favorite given the level of talent they bring in from around the country for events this like, this year being no different with double digit states represented on their current roster. They’ve got depth on both sides of the ball, which it takes to go on a run in Jupiter, rostering 20+ arms that’ll bring upper-80s or better on the mound while having offensive catalysts in the form of both 2025s and 2026s. There’s not a ton of true ‘star’ power outside of PG All-American Kelvyn Paulino Jr, but the depth on this roster should give them competitive innings and at-bats first pitch to last.

Dark Horse: Texas Twelve 2025 Red Sox
This category could easily go to any of the three ‘non-favorite’ teams in this pool given I think it’ll be a pretty competitive pool overall, but I like both the structure of this Texas Twelve team, and the fact that they are a very competitive group on the national stage. They don’t have the same depth listed that some of these other groups have, holding just 18 on their roster currently, but it allows the team to get into a good rhythm on the offensive end and these pitchers know they have to grind out innings. Lucas Franco is a PG All-American who will one of the best pure hitters at this event, and Mason Murphy has the stuff to beat any of the teams in this pool when he’s on, which he’ll need to be on the biggest stage here.

What To Watch For: Offensive Momentum
This event is the best of the best when it comes to both sides of the ball, having now over 1,200 big leaguers in its’ alumni, and while there have been plenty of high-powered arms that have shined on the biggest stage, it is many of the hitters, and their performances, that have come through Jupiter that are best remembered. There is going to be talented arms on the mound for just about every pitch of the week, so it’s going to be about which offense can really get going first that’ll be the difference here, as it’ll take winning all 3 to guarantee a playoff berth. All four of these teams will combine good pure hitters with base stealers and juice in the middle of their lineups, but it’ll be up the back halves of these rosters to step up and carry, or start, the momentum that some of the stars will look to capitalize on.

Uncommitted Impact: Arms
When taking a quick look at these rosters, the thing that stands out is the number of very talented arms still on the market that’ll log innings at this event. In recent years, some of the bigger arms nationally have shut down around this time of the year, making room for others to step up and get their time on the biggest stage; this year, in this pool, it looks to be true once again and it’ll be a golden opportunity for those still looking for a place at the next level to show out in front of 100s of scouts. All four of these rosters have a number of arms that fit in this category, some of which are front line starters for these orgs that will be must-see outings when they take the mound looking to put their team in a place to make playoffs.

Projected Pool Winner: Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team 2025
The Trosky Brewers Scout Team is loaded with talent top to bottom accruing 21 division 1 commits. The crew will be bringing in a slew of top ranked players including the likes of Xavier Neyens, Slater De Brun, Linkin Garcia, and Brock Ketelsen. Neyens will likely bat in the heart of the lineup as he has light tower power and looks to be a big-time threat. Slater will roam the outfield batting atop the lineup as a true spark plug. The tools are undeniable here. Ketelsen will also roam the outfield with tools and it’s looking like the Brewers will indeed have a no-fly zone out there. Garcia will handle the dirt with a strong arm and looks to be making key plays. Trey Morris and Cash Dabbs will lead the loaded Brewers pitching rotation amongst others. Morris, a physical lefty, has been up to 91 with excellent command. He throws a curve with depth and can kill spin on the change. It’s a quality 3-pitch mix here. Dabbs has been up to 93 and his fastball has shown late running life. Opposing teams are not only going to have to navigate through a tough lineup, but they will also have to work through uncomfortable at-bats against strong pitching. Nothing will come easy in this pool.

Dark Horse: 5 Star Mafia 18u Gold
Don’t sleep on 5 Star Mafia as they always seem to put together a quality team filled with athletes. They have a crop of highly athletic middle infielders such as Cody BoshellStephen Crater, and Tripp Hannah. Pair that with a strong outfield in Rylan Baker and Cole McLean and you have a tough lineup to navigate through. This lineup is not to be slept on with high profile athletes. Baker has shown loud tools across the board and will be roaming the outfield. McLean has shown strong 2-way potential from the left side. Tripp Hannah has looked every bit the part out at shot and looks to help lead his team into a deep run. Cody Boshell will be a centerpiece of the 5 Star Mafia lineup from the left side with big juice. 5 Star also has a crop of young arms that are not to be taken lightly. Jacob Harms and Michael Vigil look to headline the rotation. Harms has been up to 92 with a quality 3-pitch mix. He can spin it with a slider or kill spin on the change. Vigil has been up to 91 with a lively fastball and has performed well on the circuit. Both arms look to play a major role in this pool.

What to Look for: Xavier Neyens & Cameron Appenzeller
The hype surrounding Xavier Neyens will garner plenty of attention from scouts and high-level decision makers looking to gather more information on what might be an early first round pick come next year. Neyens was loud in all facets on the circuit this year and doesn’t look like he will be slowing down anytime soon. He had a big National showcase where he put-up big-time metrics and carried that over into the All American Classic where he proceeded to stand out. The hit and power are undeniable but so is his ability on the dirt. It’s just a high-profile player with extra loud tools across the board. Cameron Appenzeller would be the key arm to keep an eye on in this pool as he will also likely garner plenty of eyes when he toes the rubber. He is a super lengthy lefty with big time projection. He has been up to 95 before and really knows how to pitch. Everything he throws moves a ton.

Uncommitted Impact: Austin Musso
Austin Musso should be making a big impact for Soldier Spects National off the bump. He has been up to 93 before with late life. He pounds the zone and works with good tempo and should be a big arm to keep an eye on throughout the week. It’s a quality 3-pitch mix that includes a well-polished change that kills spin. He can spin it too with a pair of breaking balls that show distinct shape and quality spin traits.

Projected Pool Winner: BPA
The dynamic duo of Billy Carlson and Seth Hernandez are going to get the bulk of attention on this BPA roster on paper, and rightfully so given their talents and track record of performance, but two players can't win a tournament of this magnitude (no offense). Luckily for Head Coach Jared Sandler he had a deep roster with a core of players who've been together not just throughout the summer, but over the years and have the camaraderie that's truly needed in this type of setting. As a whole, the roster has 10 D1 commits already with two-way standout Cooper Flemming joining both Carlson and Hernandez with a Vanderbilt commitment while William Patrick (LSU) and Kameron Beck (Oregon State) check in as top-100 players in the 2025 class. Regardless his age, 2027 southpaw Logan Schmidt has the talent to be one of the more dominant arms in Jupiter as he played a key role in BPA's championship run at the 17u WWBA and made a plethora of All-Tournament teams in the process. It's not an overly big roster in terms of the number of players, but have a plethora of two-way types amongst the handful of primary arms listed, this team has the talent to win the big one as we saw this summer in Georgia.

Dark Horse: Atlanta Braves Scout Team
I'm not sure we can truthfully call a team with 20+ players committed to play at the next level a "dark horse", but for this categorical sake, we'll tab them as such. Amongst the 27-man roster is a nice blend of 2025 and 2026 graduates, 9 of whom are primary pitchers though when you factor in their secondary arms, they have 10 on the roster who have been 90 mph or better this year. A pair of top 100 prospects in the 2026 class lead the way in Deion Cole and Carson Liedel, a pair of bats who are able to impact the baseball with serious authority while Liedel also offers a true complete mix on the mound. Another 2026, Hudson Reed, has loud tools across the board and is coming off a summer circuit in which he hit .400 and will be flanked alongside the likes of Judson HartwellJoey SenstockAlex Bedford and recent North Carolina commit William Myhand, all position prospects ranked within the top 500 of their respective classes.

What to Watch: Can Anybody Upset BPA?
We know the BPA group has the talent to make a deep run as they took down the 17u WWBA National Championship, a gauntlet of a much larger scale given the total number of teams, though the talent throughout Jupiter can sway the outcome of any given game. We spoke on the Braves Scout Team above and their ample talent, but both the Banditos Scout Team and Scorpions 2025 Scout Team need to be monitored very closely given their talents as the Banditos are led by a handful of D-1 commits while the Scorps have a bevy of arms who are more than capable of pulling off an upset of sorts.

Uncommitted Impact: Underclass Talent
With a big bulk of this pool already committed, we turn our attention to a pair of uncommitted bats out of Georgia on the Braves Scout Team in Deion Cole and Hudson Reed. Cole has been at the forefront of the 2026 class since the initial rankings release a couple years back, and rightfully so given the combination of bat speed and over-the-wall type juice he already possesses. Reed hit .400 on the summer with three home runs, meaning he'll be another strong bat the coaching staff can rely on while also eating innings on the mound thanks to a fastball that he ran upwards of 91 mph this past June.

Jump over to the Banditos Scout Team and we have both outfielder Tanner Drda (344) and right-hander Wyatt Powell (445), rankings with in the top 500, in 2026 who have the tools to draw in eyes this tournament. Drda is an athletic 6-foot-2 outfielder who moves around well roaming the outfield, though it's his right-handed swing that will have people talking given the very real juice he possesses to the pull side. Powell is a hard throwing 6-foot-2 arm out of Texas who ran his heater upwards of 92 mph this summer, averaging better than a strikeout-per-inning while burying a slider in the mid-70s with late, tight biting life.

Knights Knation brings a loaded group to Jupiter highlighted by both Jacob Parker and Joseph Parker, who both bring legitimate thump to the middle of the order. They have a load of good athletes up the middle with the likes of Nicky BeckerJoshua Lim and several others. On the hill, it is a good blend of upper and underclassmen who can impact the game in any form or facet. Cole Dean and underclassman Bradyn Cupit both can really spin and bump some higher end velocity, as well. Overall, the group of bats and arms makes them a dangerous squad.

Dark Horse: East Cobb/Padres Underclass Scout Team
Don’t let the 2026s fool you, this squad has a chance to hang with some of the best in their pool with a highly touted group of underclassmen. A group of Bubba ColemanWessley RobersonMartin Shelar and Colton Sweat highlight a loaded team, getting it done on both sides and bring some real feel to hit and athleticism on the position side of things. On the mound, it’s an enticing group of younger underclass arms with the likes of Jack Brantner, physical two-way Matthew McClenanAlex Hoffman and several others. Don’t be surprised to see this team get on with the bats and make a run.

What to Look For: Whose pitching staff makes it through?
This pool is deep with both committed and uncommitted bats, and it can ultimately come down to simply who has enough arms in the tank. San Diego Show brings a good group of California arms from both the left and right side. East Cobb has some firepower low-90s types on the underclassmen side of things, and Knights Knation may be able to more than hold its own on the mound on paper. Each group will face big time lineups, and I expect pitching to make the biggest difference down the stretch. It may come down to bullpen and relief types stepping up in big spots.

Uncommitted Impacts:
Be on the lookout for a deep group of 2025 uncommitted talents to stand out on the scene. Reilly Six bumps into the low-90s with some real feel to spin a late depth breaking ball and fading low-80s changeup. Austin Liss is a wiry, athletic two-way talent who showed out on the bump during this year’s PG summer circuit. He has good life with his high-80s fastball and a sweeping two-plane slider upwards of 2,600 RPMs to mix. Outfielder Gavin Egan is one of the better uncommitted athletes left in the class with some real budding power at the plate and a good run tool. He can get on the bump and really compete, as well with a 86-88 mph fastball and sharp breaking ball.

Projected Pool Winner: GBG National
Heading into the WWBA Worlds 2025, GBG National could be considered one of the deepest squads in the entirety of the tournament. They are led by the standout bat of Oregon commit, Angel Laya, who many assume could forego his time in Eugene for a potential Top 5 round selection in the 2025 draft. Caleb Danzeisen stands out as interesting piece, He will don the tools of ignorance for the Garciaparra bunch and provide the real left-handed thump that all teams of this caliber need. The rotation (like the lineup) is littered with Division 1 commits and should be tough to contend with right from the get-go. I expect the Trojan commit, Rohan Kasanagottu to headline the bunch with Zane Burns and Ryan Caruso also drawing nods at some point. Through the middle they are very strong on defense with Danzeisen behind the dish and Aiden Aguayo on the dirt. They will bring a refined California style of ball that will be well suited to limit the mistakes and grind out wins.

Dark Horse: Easley Baseball Club
Hard to call this a “dark horse” pick when this is the squad I by far know most about and what this bunch is capable of. I wont mince words, EBC is a bit behind the eight ball with two of their best arms opting out. But as with any other powerhouse club, They have quite a few pieces to feel good about on the hill. Standout 2026 arms  Quinn Showalter and Harrison Pollina are going to HAVE to answer the bell for this group to reach the bracket. Arkansas commit, Kevin Landry Farr is a tough customer and should draw a start at some point as well. Memphis commit, Lance Bryan has been a steady riser throughout and will be joined by future collegiate teammate John Bingham in their responsibilities on the hill. One thing that is really exciting about this bunch is their underclass position player talent, Cole Prosek had as big of summer as anyone in the nation with maybe only Eric Booth Jr. On his heels for that entirely subjective honor. One of my absolute favorites in the class, Gabe Boyd, will join up with Prosek up the gut. Boyd has been showing some significant power of late and could thrust him self into draft consideration at one of the first events with 2025’s as the main focus. Behind the plate, they very well could have the events best duo with the right-handed power hitting Tanner Beliveau and budding star Will Brick. The dark horses of the dark horse are left-handed hitting first baseman Luke Romine and the right-handed stick of  Baylor Roberts, two bats that can change a game with one swing. I fully anticipate this group to give anyone a run for their money.

What to look for: Sleeper 2025’s
As far as Pool Q goes this is a very intriguing bunch in terms of the play that will take place and some potential under the radar players that could very well end up as draft selections in 10 months. Obviously, in the pool the their will be lots of attention on Texas A&M commit, Nicholas Partida of Marucci Elite Texas and Angel Laya of GBG but keep an eye on a few guys like Tyler Wick and Aiden Aguayo of GBG, Tanner Beliveau and Gabe Boyd of EBC, and Brandon Caraway and Damian Montanez of Marucci Elite as potential names to bolster their stock in a very important and competitive look at next year’s draft crop.

Uncommitted Impact: Eric EJ Booth Jr.
This summer has been one in which we have seen Booth go from a regional standout to a national standout. He provides all the desired tools to impact a game defensively, at the plate, and on the bases. There’s tools galore packed into a compat athletic frame that can burn down the lines and on the grass. Booth Jr’s lack of commitment doesn’t come of the way of lack of interest, this is certainly a Top of the SEC type talent when he finds the right fit. I’m very excited to watch Booth is this setting, where these type of uber-talented players shine the brightest.

USA Prime Scout Team Jorvorskie Lane Jr. 3 2026 Landon Green 5 2027  Carrollton, TX

Projected Pool Winner: Dirtbags 2025 National
The Dirtbags are a staple in bracket play year in and year out in Jupiter and their brand carries a mystique that impacts the way opponents perform against them. Often known for slugging the baseball with the best of them, this year’s club will generate offense more from the gap power and elite foot speed standpoint. AJ TerryZach Bender and Guy Lynam will set the tone on the offensive side of things with their legs and high-level barrel control. Unfortunately, middle of the order slugger Will Craddock, will not be on the roster and that will leave a void from thump standpoint. Ultimately, it always comes down to pitching depth and if Dallas Baptist commit, Max Luzarraga can eat a bunch of innings the Dirtbags should make a deep run.

Dark Horse: USA Prime Scout Team
One must assume this USA Prime Scout Team will be the youngest roster in the event as they don’t have a single 2025 grad listed. However, Landon Green and Jordin Griffin are both ranked in the Top 10 in the 2027 class and will follow the lead of Top 100 players in the 2026 class: Jorvorskie Lane Jr.Keaton NealLuke WilliamsAlex HoffmanJohn Stowers and Lorenzo Laurel. The pressure, prestige and all the emotions that come with Jupiter will be new to many of these young prospects but there is little doubt about the on-field talent. If they can stay focused on what happens between the lines, this team very well could take the Pool.

What to Look For: The Youth Movement
As we just touched on, the entire USA Prime Scout Team is comprised of underclassmen. Two of the most exciting players on the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team, TCU commit Gavin Hottle and Florida commit Luke Labbe are both Top 100 players in the ’26 class. While the Dirtbags feature one of the most exciting underclass infielders from the northeast in Guy Lynam and could call in some young arms for reinforcement later in the event. Legends have been made in Jupiter when underclass players hold their own and this trend will continue in 2024.

Uncommitted Impact: Danny Tsimbinos
The 6-1/205 hitter from the Northeast has done nothing but rake all year on the circuit for the Dirtbags. A corner-infielder who could also see some time behind the dish, has steadily improved his game over the past year. With natural feel for the barrel, excellent strike zone discipline and emerging power, Tsimibinos will find himself in the middle of the lineup in Jupiter. In 26 PG games this year, he’s slugged his way to an OPS of 1.161, while batting .485 and walking more times than he has struck out. Working from a wider base, he relies on his strong hands to deliver the barrel and stays on plane as he works the middle of the field. He is uncommitted currently but is sure to get plenty of looks on sight in Jupiter.

TB SoCal Scout Brody Schumaker 174 2026 Paul Grossman 265 2025 Los Angeles, CA

Projected Pool Winner: South Charlotte Panthers 2025 Marucci
On paper this is definitely the team with the biggest depth of talent in Pool S. There’s some star power on the mound in 6-foot-7 RHP Sam Cozart who will garner plenty of attention for his Jupiter outing. A stable of arms will follow, highlighted by LHP Patrick Dudley (South Carolina) and uncommitted arms LHP Brett Barker and RHP Gavin MacDonald. A balanced lineup of athletic players will pace the offense highlighted by Nico SoulSam SchwambCarter Blankinship and Parker Lakey. All have hit well and performed at a high level consistently in 2024 tournaments. There’s talent, there’s depth and a culture of winning. I haven’t seen a team from this organization at any age group lose a game this year. Making the South Charlotte Panthers a certain favorite to make it out of pool play in Jupiter.

Dark Horse: Midland Redskins 18U
It’s hard to call a roster with this much talent  in the lineup a dark horse. One thing that’s pretty obvious about this group is that they have the talent to score plenty of runs. And they’ll be led by a group that has hit and performed in tournaments all summer long as well. Owen Jenkins is one of the best and more athletic catchers in the country who went from an unranked player in 2023 to a Perfect Game All-American in 2024. Infielder Easton Autrey (Texas) and outfielder Hogan Nelson (Dallas Baptist)  have been standout performers with the bat in 2024. Add in two additional outfielders in Judah Ota and Luke Pappano and this becomes a lineup that doesn’t offer many holes for opposing pitching staffs. If the pitching can hold up, this is a team that can easily put up enough runs to make it out of pool play.

What to Look For: High level performers
One thing this pool certainly has is a group of players spread out across all four teams that have really performed well in tournament this year. Owen Jenkins has exploded onto the scene over the last year. Jackson ReardonEaston Autrey and Hogan Nelson all have an OPS over 1.000 in PG events in 2024 for the Midland Redskins. The South Charlotte panthers bring big names on the pitching side as well as multiple players with an OPS over 1.000 in PG events in 2024 including Sam Schwamb and Jacob Petit. The Dallas Patriots bring outfielder Tyson Barkley, 2-way talent Keegan Campbell and LHP Crue Collie; all of whom have stood out in 2024. And TB SoCal brings pop up prospects such as Otto Espinoza and Tyler Bellerose who have blended talent with production over the past year. Jupiter will give these players another opportunity to cap off their outstanding 2024 circuit seasons.

Uncommitted Impact: Judah Ota, OF, 2026
An athletic outfielder from Hawaii with a blend of 5 developing tools. Most intriguingly this is a 6-foot-5 left handed hitter with legitimate power projection. There’s leverage and bat speed in the swing with plenty of room to add strength to the frame as well. Has a track record of performing in tournaments and could really burst onto the national scene with a standout performance in Jupiter. Either way this one has the traits to develop into an impact player that could become a foundational piece at the college level.

USA Prime American Aiden Arnett 144 2025 Jack Jorgenson 500  2025 Carrollton, TX

Projected Pool Winner: Ghost National ‘25
With a roster that consists of 24 D-1 commits including twelve arms that have reached at least 90 mph, Ghost National ’25 would be considered not only the projected pool winner here but in contention to make a deep playoff run as one of the overall favorites. Led by PG All-Americans Jayden Stroman and Josh Hammond, the lineup will be lengthy and bolsters threats from top-to-bottom. UAB commit Troy Ford is a 6.44 runner and can wreak havoc on the base paths atop of the lineup, while Miami commit Eddie Zaun and the aforementioned Stroman and Hammond should have plenty of opportunities within the middle-of-the lineup. Puerto Rico natives Allem Borrero and Leamsi Montanez  add length and offensive firepower of their own. The pitching staff will be anchored by Hammond and his high-octane repertoire but fellow two-way talent David Perez has been up to 94 mph and can stymie a lineup as well. A trio of left-handers in Boston College commit Zach Fronio, Texas Tech commit Joseph Perillo and Miami commit Sebastian Santos-Olson bring even more depth and “stuff” to the pitching corps for Ghost. They are well-stocked with an enticing blend of offensive threats and a plethora of arms to make a run down in Jupiter.

Dark Horse: Florida Burn 2025 Scout
The Burn Organization is no stranger to Jupiter, as they are one of three Orgs to take home the most prestigious championship in amateur baseball in back-to-back years, winning Jupiter in 2018 and 2019. This year’s rendition will be led by a trio of infielders, as Florida commit William Schwarz, Florida State commit Will Bavarro and South Florida commit Logan Barrata will look to be stalwarts in the Burn lineup as they navigate a talented pool. Troy commit Jackson Lucas and a pair of Naval Academy recruits Owen Phypers and Jackson Clark will be counted upon to provide crucial innings on the mound. There is certainly depth within the lineup but it will ultimately come down to how the pitching staff performs, if the Burn want to play spoiler in Pool T.

What to Look For: Josh Hammond
Wake Forest commit Josh Hammond offers one of the more tantalizing fastball/slider combinations in the Class of 2025. He has been up to 96 mph and rips off the slider into the 2800 RPM range, while also having feel for both a curveball and changeup. Whenever he toes the rubber, there will sure to be plenty of watchful eyes in attendance.

Uncommitted Gems:

Chase Forester (2025, Langhorne, PA): The long and lanky right-hander is an intriguing uncommitted arm that has steadily crept the velocity ladder with his fastball of late (T90), while showcasing feel for spin and near limitless projection. He would be a welcomed addition to those looking to bolster their pitching corps in the 2025 class.

Eddie Rosado (2026, Bristol, PA): Rosado offers an innate feel for the barrel, while continuing to perform across the circuit. He has continually improved his game in all aspects, has advanced instincts and high baseball IQ that will be a stalwart in any lineup looking for a well-rounded hitter with tons of upside.

Leamsi Montanez (2025, Arroyo, PR): Montanez offers an intriguing profile on both sides of the ball, as the left-handed hitting catcher has legitimate power potential at the plate and plenty of arm strength to thwart the running game from behind the dish.

Nick Frontino (2025, Bonita Springs, FL): Frontino offers high offensive output coupled with a vastly projectable 6’3/195-pound frame. He has feel for the barrel and showcases in-game usable power to all fields.

Projected Pool Winner: Artillery Baseball 2025 Scout
It’s hard to pick against the 2022 WWBA Sophomore World Champs here, as Artillery have built a squad that’s stronger than ever and primed to be one of the final teams standing. Packed with 21 commits, 20 Top 500 prospects, and seven 90+ arms, there truly is no weakness to be found here. The staff is expected to be led by numerous power arms, some of which include Grayson BurlesonEthan Adams, and Parker Van Engelenhoven. Whatever lineup is thrown out there on day one is going to be lethal, featuring names like All-American Taylor TraceyGriffin Enis, and Thomas O’Connell. There’s perhaps the perfect storm here of speed and power production throughout this roster that is going to cause headaches from pitch number one. Artillery is one of those teams who could really take off immediately and never look back.

Darkhorse: Trosky / Milwaukee Brewers Gold
While a lot of people may be focusing on Artillery, Trosky / Brewers could just as easily make some noise. The Phoenix based boys have twelve 90+ arms of their own, as well as 26 Top 500 prospects on the roster. Coming off a Fall National Championship win, expect guys like Cole West and Liam O’Day to stay hot at the dish, joining well established names like Chase PorterEvan Damario, and Jaiden LoRe who are sure to be slotted somewhere in the heart of the order. Grayson Headon is expected to be a major factor on the mound along with Nebraska commit Blake Sebastian who has yet to allow an ER in 2024. This is an older, experienced team that has the right pieces to make a run.

What to Watch For: Artillery vs Trosky Fireworks
Don’t overthink this one, this game is guaranteed to live up to the hype based on all the players just mentioned. Arguably one of the most intriguing games of the pool play round, we should see both sides go all out to get this win. Expect tons of high leverage matchups with lots of energy from both dugouts. This game could very well come down to the 7th inning with each side equally as likely to make a game winning play. Regardless of who wins, spectators are sure to get their money’s worth.

Uncommitted Impact: Kai Nee
Nee is definitely an interesting piece for Artillery who is going to get the ball eventually in a big spot, and if the past has any say, the athletic 6-foot, 185 pound lefty will come up clutch. Nee posted a 1.22 ERA last year in 23 IP with 39 K’s, and has a pretty successful resume when it comes to getting guys out. The FB sits in the upper 80s but plays up with both a curveball and changeup present in the arsenal, the latter flashing tons of fading action while replicating arm speed well. Nee has been highly regarded as one of the top arms in Connecticut for years now, and is going to show it on a national level.

Projected Pool Winner: Ohio Warhawks

The Warhawks have a star-studded roster with plenty to like about it. They have 24 commits and 30 players ranked in the Top 500 of their respective draft classes. There are bats to do damage and arms who will shine —  it’s just a really easy roster to like. The Warhawks have 12 arms who are 90+ mph off the mound with 8 more in the 85-89 mph range. It’s easy to see why this staff could be a shut-down staff pitching-wise in Jupiter this year. Whether it's 15th-ranked Savion Sims in the 2026 class or McCoy Silicz, another ‘26 grad. Arms like Noah Filer and Bradley Anderson are strong candidates to be effective on the staff from the 2025 class. Offensively, RJ Holmes and Hagen Wright will be leading the charge. The Warhawks also have prospects like Jordan Henriquez and Josh Owens, who will be impactful at the plate for them. It’s an easy team to like and one that should compete to emerge as the winner of Pool V.

Dark Horse: Houston Wildcatters Scout Team

The Houston Wildcatters Scout Team could easily sneak into the race for this pool. They’ve got a good group with some glue/mesh between the squad that will allow them to play well fundamentally and trust their “dudes” to get it done. It’s going to be players like Landon BrownAiden ReedCash Scarborough, and Jace Barron who can be expected to get it done for them on the mound. Offensively, they have some bats who will help them get the job done and provide offense. Infielders Gage BlinkaRyan Benavides, Graham Charbonneau, and Bryce Bloom-Timmins will all be staples in the lineup. They also have William Fiedler and Nicolas Broyles, who could be players to watch offensively. It’s a well-rounded squad that could find ways to gut out some wins and emerge as the victors from Pool V.

What to Look For: Underclass Talent with SBA Bolts National 2025 to Shine

The SBA Bolts lineup is a heavy mix of 2025s and 2026s, with a few 2028s sprinkled in. They have some of the top talents amongst the 2028 class on their roster who will come out and battle against the best of the best on the biggest stage. I’m expecting this SBA Bolts squad to get big-time innings from their two 2028s which could help power them into a pool victory. Chase Cotton and Striker Pence could have some big-time spots to pitch in this fall, which will be fun to watch. Not to mention, the other depth that the SBA squad has is impressive, with big names like Brady HarrisGianni Corral, and Chase Fernandez on the offensive side and then Jackson HoytMaddox MillerGio Rojas, and Landon Boyd anchoring out the staff. This group could get hot and go on a run, causing problems for opposing teams.

Uncommitted Impact:

William Fiedler (2026, Kingwood, Texas) is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound outfielder with good twitch and athleticism. He runs a 6.86 60-yard dash, with the feel to move around in the outfield and cut down balls in the gap. He throws in the upper-80s from the outfield and has traits to like out there, but he could really be impactful for the Houston Wildcatters Scout Team with his play at the dish. He’s a right-handed hitter who has a good feel to turn through contact, firing the hips, and delivering the barrel on time out in front to do serious damage with the barrel. Fiedler could be a key piece at the dish for his squad in Jupiter.

Michael Greenberg (2025, Port Richey, Fla.) is one of those bats who has gotten it done in my looks time and time again. He’s a compact 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with some athleticism and sneaky twitch. He’s got a short and compact stroke with tons of feel to be on the barrel. He’s not going to hammer out long balls but rather be a top-of-the-order type with great barrel accuracy and feel to drive the ball gap-to-gap. Greenberg hits and finds ways to impact for his team. He’s someone to keep eyes on with the Stars Baseball Marucci 2025 squad this year in Jupiter.

Ryan Morel (2026, West Nyack, N.Y.) shined at the plate in my looks this summer and is someone I am picking to stand out with the SBA Bolts National squad. Morel is a compact 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with good twitch and a lean look. He turns well through the swing with a direct left-handed stroke. He’s able to work pull-side well and beat the ball to the spot out in front. He’s also a 6.55 60-yard dash runner with 84 mph throws from the outfield. He’s someone who could be a sneaky but impactful performer at the plate in Jupiter.

Sebastian Shorter (2026, Detroit, Mich.) is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound infielder who can also get on the mound and bump 91 mph. It’s a real two-way profile that Shorter has been able to build up on both sides of the ball. He’s athletic and strong, with traits to like on both sides of the ball. He’s got a quick bat and a good feel to launch with extension out in front and feel to be on the barrel. On the mound, the fastball works in the upper-80s and has been up to 91 mph, as mentioned. He’s also got a low- to mid-70s slider with a good tilt to pair. He’ll provide good depth for the Ohio Warhawks on both sides of the ball down in Jupiter.

Projected Pool Winner: Cincinnati Reds Scout Team
The Reds Scout Team routinely puts together one of the better rosters in the event and 2025 is no exception as this roster is filled to the brim with talent. There are fifteen commits on this roster, including fourteen P4 commits, with a number of talented underclassmen too. Tj McQuillan and Ethan Bass are two top 50 players in the 2026 class while they have a trio of top 200 2025 lefties in Joseph Dusell (122), Ryan Brennecke (141), and Conor Essenburg (197).

Dark Horse: MLB Breakthrough Series 2025
MLB Breakthrough routinely amasses some of the best amateur talent throughout the year and this team is no exception. Leading the charge is PG All-American Anthony Pack Jr., a game changing talent who has the ability to be a high draft selection next year. There are a lot of talented 26s and 27s on this roster too including the duo of Anthony Murphy and Dylan Minnatee who were mainstays in the middle of the order for MLB Breakthrough’s 2026 group.

What to Look for: Power Baseball’s Playoff Streak
Power Baseball has made the playoffs at the three events this summer that they attended during the 17u WWBA, 17u National Elite, and the 17u BCS. They look to extend that streak here in Jupiter but will have to get through the rest of this pool to achieve that. Austin Pierzynski, Kai Lwin, Elijah Buffaloe, and Jordan Marlo round out the senior group while they have a lot of their top 26s and 27s led by Louis Hernandez and Ethan Rathmann. Thomas Achey is a big game pitcher too and will be tasked with leading the charge on the mound.

Uncommitted Impact: Team Elite 2026s
Team Elite National has about a 50/50 split between 2025s and 2026s and they have a number of highly ranked 2026 prospects who are still uncommitted. With the August 1 date passed for the 2026 class, players and schools are available to freely communicate with each other. Aiden Ruiz is a top 100 prospect and Ford McCarthy is a top 300 prospect. There are a lot of t500 prospects on this roster as well and schools would be wise to check this roster out down in Jupiter.

Projected Pool Winner: Stix 2025 Scout
It is no surprise the Stix 2025 Scout team is bringing a loaded team to Jupiter. The lineup may feature one of the better middle infields in the entire event. All-American Eli Willits is an advanced switch-hitter with outstanding feel for the barrel, along with confident actions on the defensive side. Matthew Boughton is one of the best prep defenders in the country, showing athletic actions and big time arm strength. Cole Koeninger is another talented infielder on the roster, bringing a power bat to the lineup and two-way potential that can hop on the mound and fill innings. Brady Janusek and Braxton Van Cleave should both roam the outfield, making for an extremely deep lineup. On the mound, Tennessee commit Ethan Baiotto will lead the staff. Right-hander Brody Kahle and 2026 left-hander Elijah Williams could both see valuable innings and be key pieces on the mound. The bats are good enough to take the Stix to the championship. If they can get enough out of their arms, they will be a scary opponent for any team.

Dark Horse: East Cobb Astros Underclass
While the East Cobb Astros Underclass team consists of only players from the 2026 and 2027 classes, the roster is not short on talent. Ole Miss commit William Cutshall is one of three players ranked in the Top-500 from the 2026 class. Meanwhile, the roster features seven players ranked within the Top-200 in the 2027 class. Among those is outfielder Caden Dawson, ranked 3rd overall, and infielder Bear Calvo, ranked 18th overall. The lineup will consist of some of the best young talent in the country and should be able to put runs up. They will obviously have to overcome a lack of experience that other teams may have, but it would not be a surprise if the young roster made some noise in Pool X.

What to Look For: Highly Ranked Talent
This pool is loaded with highly ranked talent from a variety of classes. Leading the way are All-Americans Brady Ebel and Eli Willits, both who rank within the Top-15 in the 2025 class. Both have a chance to be early draft picks next summer. Shortstop Jacob Lombard is ranked 2nd overall in the 2026 class. He is joined by Trey Ebel, who is another Top-45 prospect in the 2026 class. Outfielder Caden Dawson is a Top-3 prospect in the 2027 class. He is one of three Top-20 prospects, four Top-50 prospects, and six Top-75 prospects in the 2027 class that is a part of this group. No matter the age, this pool has some of the best high-end talent of any pool out there.

Uncommitted Impact: Trio of Right-Handers
The pool features plenty of uncommitted players that can brings value to a college program, but a trio of arms that should draw attention are Brody Kahle (Stix 2025 Scout), Alfrin "AJ" Rosario (Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team 2025), and Connor Cavo (Rawlings National Scout Team). Kahle features a starters frame at 6-foot-4, 215-pounds and possesses a three-pitch mix that can miss bats. Cavo is an extremely projectable right-hander at 6-foot-4, 180-pounds with plenty of arm speed present. Rosario may have the loudest stuff of the bunch, as he has already been to the mid-90’s and can generate whiffs when in the zone. Each arm brings an array of upside that will be worth monitoring.

Premier Banditos Scout Team put together a strong roster ahead of one of the year’s best events and are the favorites to come out of this pool. The offense will be headlined by top-100 prospect in the country in 3B Brock Silvers. OF Jorian Wilson will certainly make a big impact as well in the middle of this lineup along with underclass C Christian Olivares. On the mound, they’ll be able to roll out some reliable arms. Leading the charge on the hill will be Houston commit Connor Udland and Texas A&M commit Jake Evans. This roster has no shortage of talent and are my favorites to win the pool.

Dark Horse: eXposure 18u National
This Dark Horse pick was extremely simple, go with the team that seems to always win in major events. eXposure just has a knack of putting together gritty lineups with high end talent and that doesn’t change in Jupiter in 2024. They’ll be able to roll out seven arms that are 90+, headlined by underclassmen Jake Carbaugh. This pitching staff is loaded with talent and should be able to stall most lineups even in Jupiter. Offensively, they look to have a ton of balance with top end upperclass talent along with intriguing underclass names like C Brooks Berry and 1B Collin Bland. This is going to be a powerful lineup and a strong staff, making this the clear choice for my dark horse pick.

What to Look For: Flare for the Dramatic
On paper this looks like one of the most balanced and unpredictable pools at this year’s event. NEBA brings down a loaded roster with a notable 16 commitments and look primed to make a run. Baseball Australia is set to make their first appearance and are hoping to make a splash in year one. There has never been an easy pool to predict as this is one of the most thrilling events of the entire year but this pool is extremely balanced. Don’t be shocked if this comes down to the last pool play game to decide who takes home the pool and gets into bracket play.

Uncommitted Impact: 1B Collin Bland
Bland has long been one of the favorite bats in the 2026 class and has his eyes set on making a big impact on the eXposure 18u National lineup in a few weeks. He’s an imposing left-handed bat standing at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds with enormous power that is on display often. He’s coming off strong performances early in the fall and looks primed for a big showing in Jupiter.

Projected Pool Winner: Sticks Brewster/ White Sox Scout Team
The Sticks staff has done another remarkable job of compiling some of the best talent across the land into one super squad. They are rolling deep with 32 (!!!) commits. On the field, there’s a nice blend of position player talent headlined by Arkansas commits and longtime Sticks/White Scout team players, Landon Schaefer and Spencer Browning.  The tandem will hold down the middle of the order and lock down the left-side of the infield. Another player to track throughout WWBA Worlds, Bryden Bull, the Ole Miss commit possesses game changing type impact at the dish. Although there can be some swing and miss to go along with it, he could thrust himself into draft discussions with a strong showing on prep baseball’s biggest stage. Now would you believe it if I said this team’s strength is really on the mound? Head Coach Chase Brewster will have frontline type guys penciled in from game 1 through the championship game if they take care of business. In pool play expect starts from uncommitted 2026 right-hander Corwin Allard, LSU commit Karson Trichel, and Arkansas commit Mark Brissey. Between the power arms of Shawn Sullivan, Tyler Wood, Minjae Seo, and the Bettis Brothers (Sam and Max) this group has sufficient if not surplus power to weather (we hope for none) the trials that this event brings year in and year out. This organization is going to push it across the finish line, and this very well could be the group to do so.

Dark Horse: 5-Star Atlanta/ Team GA National
In almost any other event in the prep baseball scene, 5-Star/Team Georgia would be a prohibitive favorite not only to win a pool but also the hardware. This is a very talented bunch and has a real chance to advance in this event. The position player group is headlined by Georgia commits, Ty Peeples and William Johnson. The pair could be the source of significant run production to get ahead early and allow this strong rotation to pitch with a lead often in the pool play games. On the mound, they have a trio of ACC commits to lean on, Ty Van Valkenburg (The U), Blake Bryant (Clemson), and Eston Simpson (Clemson). This is an experienced bunch led by primarily upperclassmen, a very important trait when it comes to winning when it matters most.

What to look for: The Future of the SEC
Maybe a touch cliche here because similar can be said for most of the other pools of the WWBA Worlds but this pool racks up almost 20 future SEC players. We will see the power arms like the one of Tyler Wood head to Knoxville. The assortment of players that the Sticks team has headed to Arkansas. Bryden Bull will certainly be leaving Swayze more than a few times in the not too distant future. Minjae Seo and his high octane arsenal heading to the Gainesville. The pair of Georgia commits, Ty Peeples and William Johnson staying home to help continue the growth of the Bulldog program. Ma'Kale Holden and Shawn Sullivan are no doubt the power arms of the Tide’s future. Standout Texan outfielder Luke Billings joining a new look A&M program and Karson Trichel staying in the Bayou with Tigers. Loaded group in Pool Z, Excited to have a front row seat.

Uncommitted Impact: Madrid Tucker
Obviously, there is a number of guys to highlight as potential uncommitted gems but as for uncommitted impact, the switch hitting middle infielder is an obvious choice. Not only is a he a very talented player and high level prospect, he is going to be relied upon to perform as The Guy on the MVP 2025 roster. He is a mid-6's runner that can really hit form both sides and provides standout defense on the dirt. Look for Tucker throughout the weekend as an important piece of the puzzle for his squad and one that could further increase his stock as a prospect.

Projected Pool Winner: East Coast Sox 2025 Scout
Up and down the roster, this East Coast Sox club has the talent and depth to make noise not only in pool play, but deeper into a playoff run should they survive the pool, which of course is no easy task. PG All-American Eric Hines will lead the way offensively as he possesses some of the easiest power in the entire tournament, impacting baseballs with plus juice all summer while seeing his stock rise all the way up to No. 41 in the country. Both Emmanuel "Manny" Lantigua and Ethan Moore are highly touted prospects committed to a pair of ACC school while underclass pieces such as the left-handed slugging Ryan Harwood and slick fielding Matthew Kelley should make their presence felt. Of the 17 committed pieces, five are primary arms (10 primary arms in total) and they'll carry a heavy load as every inning counts in Jupiter. LSU committed Colton Christman jumped into the 2026 class not too long ago and hasn't missed a beat, running the fastball up to 93 mph from the left side while punching out 10 in 9 innings, maintaining a sub-1 ERA.

Dark Horse: Baum Bat Scout Team
Baum heads down to the Jupiter, Florida from the Pacific Northwest and they're bringing a roster that's laden with talent and certainly can't be taken lightly by any means. PG All-American Bruin Agbayani will pace the offense and possesses a variety of intangibles that can change the outcome of a game, mainly his easy plus left-handed bat speed and juice. Composed of pieces from around the PNW and Hawaii, a pair of shortstops, both of whom are committed to Washington, in switch-hitter Aspen Alexander and 2026 graduate Christopher Moore, should help make an impact offensively as well. Fellow PG All-American River Hamilton possesses some of the best stuff on the mound in the country and soared up the rankings this summer as the fastball continued to climb into the mid-90s, though it's a pair of devastating breakers that've proven to be the real difference maker. Factor in the likes of Jonah Aase (more below) and Calvin Gregory (Oregon State) on the mound and a trio of talented backstops in Isaac PfeiferTrenton Hertzog and Tilden Hsu, this Baum team has a lot of the right pieces in place.

What to Look For: River Hamilton
As we touched upon above, River Hamilton has established himself as one of the best arms in the country and you can be assured that when he toes the rubber, it'll be a packed house behind the backstop. At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, it's easy to dream on what the Oregon State commit could one day become but don't stress too hard as the present product is already plenty eye-opening. Over the last calendar year the Oregon native has gained 10 mph on the fastball and his ability to mix and located both a sweeper and harder, late biting curveball have helped him in gain the serious traction he did this year.

Uncommitted Impact: Daiki Mochizuki & Jonah Aase
It feels easier for an arm to make an impact in any given game given how the game literally starts with them and we have a pair of arms to lock in on given their recent PG performances. Mochizuki, a native of Japan, will suit up for the Richmond Braves and though he doesn't have the track record in PG events like others do, he proved to be dominant in his lone showing in 2024 as the long and lean 6-foot-3 right-hander punched out 6 in 4 innings of work at the 17u BCS where he ran his fastball up to 87 mph.

A one time Washington commit, Aase is back on the market and delivered a couple of gems out West as of recent and is sure to be on every college coach's radar at this point in the process. Following an MVP performance at the 17u West UBC where he went a complete game, 12 strikeout performance while hitting .462, the southpaw then struck out 11 in 4.1 innings of work over the course of three appearances, running the fastball up to 91 mph in the process. There's arm quickness and some deception in the operation, but he also shows the ability to land his slider for strikes while inducing whiffs as well, showing plenty of feel for the upper-70s pitch.
