UBC East Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Nathan Reaney (2028, Vista, Calif.) toed the rubber for Canes National 14U and looked fantastic. The right-hander threw six 1/3 innings, scattering five hits while allowing only one earned run and striking out seven. Reaney sat in the low-80s and bumped 83 with sink to both sides of the plate. He showed impressive feel to locate to glove side and dotted the corner constantly. The curveball worked in the upper-60s with good depth, and he showed good feel to drop it in for strikes. The delivery is loose and easy, and the athleticism is clear. Reaney was in complete command of his mix and ended the day with 72% strikes.
