JUCO: Top 500 Prospects Update

Another week down as we head towards May and conference tournaments. The field of the Top 25 remained fairly status quo with one new addition, the Cowley Tigers, as they rejoin the list at No. 24. Up top the trio of Central Arizona, Gaston, and Weatherford all took care of business with 3-1 weeks. Johnson County is riding a 10-game heater and brought out the 4-game broomsticks against Highland and with Pensacola State falling in their set against Tallahassee, we had some room to squeeze them up inside the top 5. Kansas City Kansas has run off 11 straight and they’ve risen 10 spots in the last 2 weeks and currently sit at No. 6.

We will continue to back Pearl River and their MACCC dominance as they sit at 14-0 in conference play and move up to the 11 spot on our Top 25. Florence-Darlington is playing their best baseball of the year with another 5-0 week for the Stingers resulting in a 3 spot boost for them. It will be interesting to watch McLennan down the stretch as we have been steadfast in our thoughts that the best players will win over the course of a long season and they may have the best pure roster in the country when it boils down to it.
