Coming off an impressive recruiting effort last year in which they landed two of the Top 15 nationally ranked prospects in the 2023 class, Auburn continues that success with 18 commits in this year’s graduating class. The Tigers look to add two dependable right-handers to their pitching staff that can potentially eat up innings out of the gate in Connor Gatwood and Perfect Game All-American Christian Chatterton. The upside is through the roof for the athletic 6-foot-5 Gatwood, who has been up to 97 mph this summer with two reputable off-speed pitches. Chatterton has been clocked at 95 mph with a full four-pitch mix that he commands extremely well. He misses a ton of barrels and certainly has the makings of a quality arm for the Tigers’ staff down the road.

Nonemaker and company went south to Florida to acquire two talented bats with just as reliable gloves on the left side of the infield in Christopher Rembert and Anthony Tralongo. There is a lot to like in the athletic 6-foot 200-pound frame of Rembert, who brings a consistent barrel with plus speed to the table. Tralongo can do it all at the plate and has the makings of a productive middle-of-the-order stick. The Tigers will also add a polished bat in Chase Fralick, the no. 10 ranked catcher in the 2024 class, who has serious power and a strong arm behind the dish.

Auburn will beef up the pitching staff with five additional 93+ arms including 6-foot-3 left-hander Jackson Sanders, who offers big-time swing and miss potential with his three-pitch mix. Outside of Sanders are four quality right-handers in Clinton Harris, Andreas Alvarez, Saxon Roberts and Eli Driskell. The Tigers will add valuable pieces to their bullpen as well as depth on the dirt, heightening their expectations for years to come.
