What Happened: In their second straight road series to open ACC play, the Cavaliers to Raleigh and won 2 out of 3 against the Wolfpack. Having won the first two games, Virginia was only 3 outs away from the sweep but let Game 3 slip away.

Carrying Tool: The Cavaliers are just tremendously balanced and can beat their opponents in almost every aspect of the game. They are batting .332 as a team, SLG% .525 with an OB% .426 and have swiped 28 bags. Defensively they field .988 with a team ERA of 2.62 and possess a K:BB ratio of almost 4:1.

Concerns: Their pitching rotation is based on pitchability and not power stuff, so the margin for error is slim. In addition, the depth of reliable arms in the bullpen needs to be developed further.
