Justin Best (2023, Cornelius, N.C.) joined up with East Coast Sox-2023 Myers, bringing his trademarked compact swing to impact baseballs with authority to the pull side. Despite his long, athletic build, Best does a nice job of keeping his left-handed swing short to the inside part of the ball before capitalizing on his length to create extension through the baseball. The Florida State commit found his way on base all weekend, but none as impressive as the ground-rule double he pulled over the wall in right on one hop. The athleticism showed through on the bases as well as in the outfield, covering ground in the grass as well as swiping bags when he wanted to.

Jax Yoxtheimer (2023, Phenix City, Ala.) hit right behind Best in the East Coast Sox-2023 Myers lineup all weekend, finding different ways to impact the game. Yoxtheimer put together solid at-bats all weekend, working counts and spoiling good pitches as he showed an ability to work the ball around the field and produce in different ways. Much like his teammate, Yoxtheimer has great length to his frame and showed some juice to the left-handed swing when he stays to the middle of the field as he can create leverage at the point of contact with his lofted bat path.
