Gavin Stedman (2025, Auburndale, Fla.) seems to always contribute on both sides of the ball and we saw more of that this weekend. On the mound, he pounds the zone working up into the low-80s with one of the more low-effort releases you’ll see at this age, while showing a ton of comfort with the breaking ball already. At the plate, it’s a simple approach and he swings the bat athletically with some feel to adjust and some explosiveness when he’s on time.

Andrew Costello (2026, Fairview, Pa.) was very impressive from the get-go this weekend as he started his first game a solid 3-for-4 on the offensive end with three well-struck hits. The first, he jumped on a fastball early and drove it on a line through the pull side. The second, he stayed back on a pitch and drove it off the wall the other way for an easy triple, and the third he worked a deep count and recognized spin very well being able to hold his weight back enough to drive the ball into left field. It’s a very physical swing for the age with exceptional bat speed and strength already, to go with the fact that he recognizes pitches well and can control his body to still be explosive when off-time.
