17u Tourney All-American Team

In a year in which baseball wasn't played around the entire country due to Covid-19, there were still plenty of standouts during the 2020 circuit. Taking precautions throughout the summer and fall, there were a number of players that stood out in a big way. We take a look back at the top performers at PG events with our annual PG Tournament All-Americans by age group, starting with out 17U players. Of the players who are on our first and second teams, 14 of them played in Oklahoma in the Perfect Game All American Classic: Harry Ford, Kahlil Watson, Michael Braswell, Brady House, Joshua Baez, Thaddeus Ector, Carter Holton, Chase Petty, Joe Mack, Jordan Lawlar, Tommy White, James Wood, Eric Hammond, and Shane Panzini. Lonnie White was the MVP of the 17U WWBA National Championship while Carson Williams was the MVP of the WWBA World Championship and both are honored as Tournament All-Americans.

Bodie Eilertson led all honorees with 12 all-tournament team selections, followed by Will Dean and Mark Capell with 11 each, while Michael Braswell and his 10 all-tournament team selections round out the players that earned double-digit nods.



Kahlil Watson was one of the revelations early in the summer and the left-handed hitting shortstop never stopped throughout 2020. He dominated high-level pitching as he competed at almost every major event during the circuit. He earns our Tournament Player of the Year honor with huge numbers across the board. Carter Holton was equally impressive as he held his stuff from the start of the summer through the end of the fall. Holton had a couple epic outings at the Ultimate Baseball Classic (where he was named MV-Pitcher) and a complete-game win in the playoffs of the WWBA National Championship. Both helped tip the scale given the opposition and setting, the left-hander earns the Tournament Pitcher of the Year.
