College baseball is going to look a lot different this spring thanks to COVID, but also by virtue of the amount of transfers that will be playing in new spots this spring. Roster turmoil due to the shortened draft last summer, additional years of eligibility, and the one time transfer rule expected to pass in January all play a large role here. With that being said, we thought it would be relevant to highlight and discuss a good number of those aforementioned transfers from the perspective of both the draft as well as their potential impacts on their new clubs. Listed below are 15 JUCO-to-4yr transfers and 15 4yr-to-4yr transfers who we feel will have big impacts, both for their new clubs as well as in regards to draft prep for next summer.

Jake Smith, RHP, Miami
Transfer from: State College of Florida

The top JUCO player on our 2020 draft board who did not sign, Smith should provide loud and immediate impact for Miami. With good size, mid-90s heat, and a slider and changeup that both have shown above-average in spurts, Smith should fill either a late-innings bullpen role or potentially a weekend starter role in Coral Gables this spring, and retains top 5 round draft upside.
