Zach Edwards (2024, Riverton, Utah) is a big-time athlete with good arm strength, a projectable delivery and already elite stuff given his age. At 15 years old, Edwards gets his fastball into the upper-80's up to 88 mph with great feel for his secondaries and the ability to control his operation and the strike zone. Edwards has great size already standing at 6-2, 190 pounds. The arm works and it is fast through the back projecting for more in due time. He is a pretty short strider down the mound with the ability to repeat well and get his three pitch mix to either side of the plate effectively. Accompanying his fastbll in his repertoire is a slider and changeup that he has a comfortability throwing to hitters. He uses the slider more so to righties and the changeup to lefties. The slider is already a very sharp pitch and the changeup is still developing but is effective enough in getting left-handed hitters out in front. Edwards is a very high upside uncommitted freshman.
