Jakob Schulz (2023, Houston, Texas) was a participant in the 2019 14U Select Festival. The young lefthanded pitcher is currently ranked No. 23 overall in the national rankings for the 2023 class. The delivery is short and simple, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot while getting downhill with good extension out front. He sat comfortably in the 84-86 mph range with his fastball that had sinking action during the first inning while topping out at 87 mph. He flashed a straight changeup at 77 mph that he tunneled well along with a 71 mph curveball that had 1-7 shape. Schulz pitched four innings, allowed zero hits and struck out eight.
