Mid-Atlantic Scout Notes: 7/10

Excited to be back on the field, teams converged on New Jersey filled with plenty of talent laden rosters ready to go after the long layoff. Pool play action got started on Thursday in both the 15U Mid-Atlantic Elite Championship and 17U Mid-Atlantic World Series. Rutgers commit Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (2021, Somerset, NJ) looks to have added strength since our last look. The New Jersey native continues to be impressive each time out and Day One of the 17U event was no different. Kuroda-Grauer went 3 for 3 in Game One, showing the ability to impact the baseball to all fields with consistent bat-to-ball skills and juice to the gaps. The quick twitch middle infielder showed emerging power potential with a triple and deep homerun to left field. Always seemingly in the right place, he made several important plays in the field with smooth, fluid actions and plus lateral range. It will be interesting to see what type of impact he makes as we move forward in the tournament.
