Jack Shepski (2023, Waunakee, Wisc.) is a new name to follow in the 2023 class, as the shortstop showed he can do a plethora of things at a high level on the diamond. Though Shepski was held hitless in Sunday’s first contest, the rising-sophomore has a mature approach at the plate to go along with present feel for the barrel and bat-to-ball skills. Shepski’s most impressive at-bat was his first, fighting off some good two-strike pitches and eventually driving a liner that was caught in center field. Defensively, the 5-8, 155 pound Wisconsin native plays through the ball well and has the footwork and range to play either spot in the middle-infield.
