Mountain West Scout Notes: Day 1 & 2

Michael Rodda (2022, Temecula, Calif.) kicked day three off for Dykstra Baseball with four scoreless innings on the hill. Rodda has a shorter whippy arm action that comes across to a true three-quarters to almost lower three-quarters slot. His 82-86 mph fastball generates great sink when located down in the zone and he was able to create a ton of soft contact on the ground because of it. He finished giving up five hits while fanning five in Dykstra’s win.
