Northwest Region: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming

The Northwest will be a required destination of professional scouts this spring, not so much for the region’s college teams for a change, but to evaluate Jesuit (Ore.) High School righthander Mick Abel, a PG All-American who is currently ranked fifth overall in the senior class. A pair of Washington infielders, Todd Bearmer’s Nate Clow and Curtis High School’s Kyle Russell, along with fast-rising southpaw Dylan MacLean of Central Catholic (Ore.) High School, will also be getting plenty of looks.

Abel’s Jesuit High School team finished 2019 as the top-ranked squad in Oregon and they start the 2020 season as the top team in the entire region, beginning the year ranked 41st in the Perfect Game 2020 preseason national rankings.
